The indian version is not available in my country yet, so I might be getting the china version. But I'm wondering the compatiblity of the custom rom

Yes.. The the Problem is that there are many versions around xiaomi redmi note 5, so we need an extra forum for xiaomi redmi note 5 (China Version)

Everything should work, as Indian version can use oreo china twrp now.
Maybe camera only will have a problems, but i'm sure this can be fixed soon

Redmi note 5 EU question

Hi all, a bit confused.
I am in italy and have RN5 Eu version.
Do i have to refer to the "whyred" version for modding? For custom roms? So is this "Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus" the right section for me?

First of all there is no EU version. There is Redmi note 5 Pro(Indian version), Redmi note 5 AI(Chinese version), and just Redmi note 5 global version(same as AI chinese but with global rom + band20 support). All of these are codenamed whyred, while note 5/plus is different device with snapdragon 625 and single camera on back.

Yes, whyred is the code name for the device family of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global (EU) and Pro (India). Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus is within the Vince code name family. Next time I suggest you to do a quick search trough the forums before posting such question with very easy to find answer.

i had the same question in the past.
vince is for redmi 5 plus or note.
whyred is for yours.
i think in asia the redmi 5 plus is called note too.
it's confusing i know.
our phone in europe is RN5 redmi note 5 aka codename whyred.
There are 3 variants.
Redmi 5 note global
Redmi 5 China
Redmi 5 pro for India

Redmi Note 5 Pro and Note 5 AI/China have same MIUI ROMs ?

Just wanted to know, if It was possible to flash Redmi Note 5 Pro's Indian Global Stable ROM's on Redmi Note 5 AI/China or not.
One other thing I wanted to know was. I seen some global version ROMs of the AI version on the forum, but didn't find any mention of those on the chinese MIUI forum. Can someone point the way for their source.

you are sure about this, right ? and does doing so, flashing india's rom, decrease the camera quality; compared to the china version for AI ?

no it doesnt. even though they are different in cameras. rom knows its a RN5AI and so it flashes correct files specially for our global RN5AI. that cameras are different.
roms are called bigota*******redminote5/PRO. whyred

redmi note5 global and china AI and pro dual back camera codename WHYRED ..this is the correct section and they all use the same firmware

Question Flashing Pixel-Experience ROM.

So I wanted to flash this phone (Redmi Note 10 5g) with the pixel-experience ROM. But I can only find "Redmi Note 10 (mojito)" and "Redmi Note 10 Pro (sweet)" in the devices section of the webpage and I can't find any guides where the 5g model was used. I would like to know how to go about using pixel-experience with this model of the phone.
Do I just use the "Redmi Note 10 (mojito)" or is there some other way?

No or little development for Xiaomi with Mediatek processors.

The codename must match yours, if you don't know, post the phone version.
Example: M2103K19G, M2103K19Y, M2103K19PG
Redmi note 10(T) 5g
As said above the redmi note 10(T) 5g has a Mediatek soc, the rom you want installed is for Qualcomm socs.
