Hello,
I need the help from some of you experts with this Headunit:

I bought and install it last year and was working fine. One month ago I purchased Amazon Music unlimited,
and it is working fine on , mobile Echo Dot, Laptop etc. in the beginning also on the Headunit, but after 1-2 weeks
it stocks always and needs couple of minutes to buffer a song and interrupts also during playing a song.
The Internet connection is strong and all other Internet services are working alright.
Maybe it is a problem with Amazon Music Server?
What also doesn't work anymore are the 5 LED's behind the 5 Touchscreen buttons.
From time to time is there a sound like somebody cutoff the amplifier and Music is off,'switching to Radio, MP3 and back,
can solve most of the time the problem, but sometimes it needs a complete shutdown from the Power to bring the music back.
Due to the fact that the Headunit is less than a year old, I can't believe that it is hardware problem and was trying to update the Headunit to the latest version.
The supplier where I bought the Headunit send me the file with the latest Firmware and I try to update it but without success.
Can somebody explain me, what I make wrong and what to do that it is successfull?
Here are some pictures of the Boot menu before start of the MCU update progress and result after.
Did you found what the problem was? I have exactly the same problem with that MCU failed.
Not yet, I'm still waiting that some Pro's in this forum got a solution.
Parallel I'm in contact with the supplier of the Radio and. wait for a solution from them.
In the case I get some information I'll post it here
Oke,
I found what my problem was,
I was using a 32GB sdcard that was formatted as NTFS, so I thought maybe I need a smaller one with 2GB but this one was formatted as FAT32 but it worked, so I think NTFS was the problem, it should be FAT32.
Try a different sdcard and also make sure it's FAT32.

Very good that this solution works for you. But in my case is the first problem, that I don't have a SD Card in my Radio,
the position for it is there but the Card Reader is missing.
The USB which I am using is 8GB and FAT32 formatted. And still not working....

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue. I've tried several sd cards all formatted FAT32 and can't get the MCU to upgrade.
I also have this problem with GS_v3.00.
GS_v2.94 works fine so it's not issue with the USB.
Have to wait for the next update I guess

Hi guys, i downloaded 2 roms here these days but all flashes failed due to the following error. The thing is first the device resets, then a white screen, then this error. Anyone can help me? Thx in advance.

Have you CID unlocked your device?
100%. I've flashed a few times.
Try flashing the new nosize USPL.

I can try that. Could you pls give a link of that? Thx.
Here. Also, have you switched from XP to Vista by any chance?
I didn't change from XP to Vista. I'm doing this on XP. But still with no luck. I couldn't flash the RUU_Signed.nbh either and had exactly the same error. After a reset, it just stops at the white screen somehow. damn...
Actually the update utility i used before to flash my mobile may be different from the one i'm currently using now. so i'll try using the same update utility later and post the result. im thinking maybe it's the update utility reason.
Ok. It works now. I removed the sd card and it just works. I know this sounds stupid. But before I 100% had the experience of successfully flashing it without removing sd card in advance.
And finally I kind of have some conclusion. If the sd card is in, the flash process would search for the sd card which is a quite time-consuming process lasting 3-5 minutes somehow on my device. And this causes the flash fail because it may have a timeout value less than that. If the sd card is removed, the search sd card process will end immediately and the device goes to next step very soon.
Just hope i've made this clear and can help some careless guys like me.
And thanks for randythered's kind heart.
No problem, and I feel sucky because I knew this is one of the possibilities and I forgot about it AGAIN! Somebody else had the same problem a few weeks back and I gave him every solution except removing the sim card and SD card. Jeez...!

i've switched from xp to vista. and i cannot flash my mobile with any rom.
This will help you.
my moms boyfriend has a rooted G2 using iceandfire 2.0 and earlier today he picked up his phone from the charger to find that it turned off by itself, he turned it back on and it stayed at
The htc screen, so I tried wiping the data to flash a new rom and it said can't mount such and such

So the big question is, why did it do this, and what can I do to fix it? Help is much appreciated since he has no backup phone and he's a heavy user so he needs his phone back up and running asap

Those errors are likely caused by a hardware error (bad internal memory chip): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1039504
Hey rickyiswhite, I've experienced the same problem with my htc hd2. I am not hundred percent sure how and why this happened, but I managed to get my phone back to life. Here are two methods which I think might help you.
1. You might be missing 'initrid' and 'zImage' files in your sd card. You need these two files to flash new rom from your sd card otherwise the phone cant 'recognize' your sd card. You can find these two files from any rom you have downloaded, just copy and paste them into your sd card's root folder.
2. If this is not the case, I would recommend you to format your sd card (fat 32, i tried once to format my sd card to ntfs, and kind of destroyed it), and clear everything inside your phone using 'task29', which means you will lose everything stored inside your phone and sd card. Then you can uninstall and reinstall the HSPL (this might not be necessary, but I did that, just to make sure everything is cleared). Afterwards you just have to flash the radio and the magldr back. What's left now is to copy your rom into your sd card, remember to copy the 'initrd' and 'zImage' as well, and flash the rom, done!
However, I can't guarantee this would work because you know, different devices, so you have to take your own risk and responsibility to do this. FYI, you can also flash a new rom through computer, using the DFT.exe inside the rom. But currently most of the roms are flashed through magldr or clk, so it would take you some time to find the rom that can be flashed directly via computer.
Anyway, good luck to you, and hope these tips might help
I seem to be losing space on my SD Card. I delete stuff but I don't see the space being freed up.
If I use WinDirStat it tells me that the SD card is using 18.8GB of space, but is only showing 1.4GB of free space. If i run a check on the card I get this:
{

}
I don't understand where the free space is going. Any help please? I seem to be missing about 5GB of space. I'm running ARHD 3.1.0.
Thanks
After reading about others with the same problem, I copied the data off the sdcard, reformatted, copied the data back and now all the correct free space is there.
This happened to mine too. I already did what you have done and formatted the sd partition and i gained 3gb from 5gb to 8gb which was great but woke this morning to have lost another 1gb overnight. I thought i had solved it but obviously not. Hope this gets sorted soon.

The problem is that after files deletion their space goes to the bad sectors - just run chkdsk to see this. Seems problem with internal SD driver or something like this

After Chkdsk is done and errors have been found, what now?
same issue, i lost 4gb in "bad sectors". That is a lot!
edit: formatted sd card en all bad sectors were gone. Had the full 25gb available

This may be a separate issue, as I didn't have any bad sectors and after reformatting then copying the data back I haven't had a reappearance of the problem. I've been flashing more ROMs, deleting files, copying new files and so far the space is being correctly reported

Is this a problem for people using custom roms ony?
I also encountered this problem, only format SD card can be resolved
Some people say that the cause of the problem is caused by the choice of installation location

no really. on russian forum this happend also with stock rom 1.29.405
And ive found that cluster size on my internal SD was 32Kb, but it should be 16kb for 32gb storage.
Formatting through windows with default cluster size will help. (now its 16kb)
Hello, I have spent all day looking for this answer without any luck so I am hoping someone can answer my question here.
I wanted to upgrade my SII to the latest Cyanogenmod I did the following:
1). Downloaded and used Odin to install StockCWM-EL26.tar (CWM v5.0.2.7)
2). Using my SD card upgraded to CWM v5.8.1.5 (newest version I could find)
3). Factory reset and wiped everything.
4). Using my SD card installed the latest version of Cyanogenmod cm-10.2-20140330-NIGHTLY-d710 (Jelly Bean v4.3.1)
Everything booted fine and worked fine however I quickly ran out of app space. I noticed that my App partition space is 2GB where my S3 phone running the same OS (factory version) has the entire phone's space available for apps (16GB). I figured to fix this issue I just needed to re-partition the phone using a PIT file but I can't find this anywhere. Am I missing something or am I just stuck with a 2GB App partition and no chance of anything larger?
Thank you very much...
Taran.
There is no "option" to change partitions for this phone. Or any device anywhere haha. Its more of a procedure. Anyways a lesson in terminology doesn't help. But yes you are "stuck" with 2 gigs. But I've installed literally hundreds of apps before having this problem. You should look at app2sd or something. No need to partition anything. Good luck ^ ^

oh...
Thanks for the quick response Linux guy. I am sad to hear I can't re-partition the phone but at least I can quite looking around for a way to do it...
I've moved all my apps using the built in "Move to SD" function in the system app menu but still almost out of space. I'll check out App2SD.
Thanks again,
Taran
Here's something else to do. Go to settings>apps and click the menu button to sort your apps by size. I bet you have an app that's being a hog *pictures*

If I was having space issues the first thing I'd do is delete Facebook in my case ^ ^

Ok, time to start house cleaning and saving for a newer phone.
Thanks again.

Check the apps that use any type of avi/avatar image...Twitter, Facebook tend to Cache images and sap storage as well, each app selected will show you the cached size
Bashing away at my HTC Desire C
Thanks again for the replies. After a bit of looking around I ended up using Link2SD by Bulent Akpinar. So far that has solved all the issues I was having with space (seems to work a lot better then the built in "Phone to SD" did).
Take care...
hi guys, with all the problems kitkat is giving to us with the sd-cards, I thought that at least music will be playable through it.
I just put some music on my sd-card, and went for a run, the HTC music app recognized the music but when i pressed play no music came out
I tried music from my internal memory and it worked perfectly...
is this a known thing? can it be fixed? and last question, I did researched about it and could not find anything but I read some articles that suggest that android L will support sd-card, is it true?
BTW, I'm on rooted and S-OFF device using latest ARHD if it matters.
cheers
I have no problem playing musics from external sdcard.
All my music files are on external sdcard (Don't have much anyway)

Why don't you post in that ROM thread, maybe someone has idea why it doesn't work for you.
BTW I'm on a rooted device with stock ROM and external sdcard writeable fixed.

Means that the sdcard can be writeable. As you mentioned above, google stop the sdcard write access on KitKat, so you need to fix that on your own.
Anyway, what I know most custom ROM has this fix included in the ROM. So ARHD may have that fix included. So ... it's best to ask in the ROM thread as your problem may not related to sdcard read/write problem.
Must be a Rom issue as I copied over a load of music to my sd card the other day and the stock music player played it no problem. I'm stock unrooted by the way.
