Gmail messages won't archive from notification bar - anyone else? - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

I've got an annoying issue with the Gmail app. I'm on t-mobile g7. From the notification bar, whenever I click on the ARCHIVE button for a gmail message, I get two different results, both of which are errors IMO.
1. Result from pressing button is nothing at all. I see the button illuminate when I tap it, but repeatedly trying to tap it results in no action at all, the notification stays there until I swipe it away.
2. Sometimes I will press ARCHIVE button, and the notification will minimize itself and change from the email message to ARCHIVED, which used to be fine and disappear by itself, but the damn ARCHIVED message will stay in the notification bar until I swipe it away. What the hell!
I've already tried clearing data, cache, disabling, everything and still I get the same result. Anyone else or know of a fix?

[Q] New message notification going landscape then scroll :(

When I receive a new sms message, I open the notification bar and 'click' on the message. This opens the messaging app with the message at the bottom.
My problem is that, sometimes, when I click on the message, the messaging app opens in landscape (even when I am holding it in portrait). It then resets to portrait, but now I am at the top of the message thread instead of the bottom. This is very annoying as I now have two options - either scroll down to the bottom (painful as I could have hundreds of messages in the thread), or press back and then select the message thread again.
I there anyway of stopping this behaviour, or setting the messaging app so that it always opens the newest message?
Turn of auto rotation.

[Q] Stuck voicemail notification

My wife's Glide (running stock 4.0.4) has had a notification of a new voicemail for a few days, but there's no voicemail and we can't clear the notification. When you pull down the notification bar, the "clear" button is grayed out, and if there's some other notification (text message for example), the button will work but will only clear the text message notification. I tried swiping the notification left or right and that didn't do anything either. I also tried leaving a voicemail, but that didn't do anything either, probably because it already has a voicemail notification. Power cycling the phone didn't help.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to clear the notification?
Did you reboot the phone ?
Yes, I rebooted the phone and it didn't help.
I did some more searching and found one suggestion that worked: Call, leave a voicemail, listen to it, delete it, and hit "*" on the keypad. Don't know why it worked, but it did.

[Q] Notification light issues - can't tell what the notification is

Is there an app that will show me a list or log of apps that have triggered the home button notification light? Also, is there a list of what colors/flash patterns belong to which types of notifications? Rooting is not an option until my one year warranty is up and that's several months away.
Sometimes when I get a notification I'll go see what it is and clear it. The home button light stops flashing but then when Iput my phone to sleep the notification light will start blinking again. When I wake it up there's nothing in notifications and the home button stops blinking again but then it starts again when it goes to sleep. I've tried disabling different apps and have found what some of the notifications are but not all of them.
My wife and I use ICQ to chat since we've been on it so long and sometimes the phone tells me there's a new message when there's not. ICQ does a fast red flash on the home button so when I see it I have to open ICQ again and go to the chat a second time then back out all the way to clear it. That's not too bad because it's got a unique color and flash pattern so I know what it is.
Sometimes it's a blue light with a slower flash rate. I think that's for email but not sure since it's probably used by more than one app.
The one I can't figure out is a slow green flash. I've tried everything I can think of including force-closing every app and nothing makes it go away. Even rebooting doesn't fix it. It makes it impossible to tell if I actually have a notification unless the notification has a different color and flash pattern.
If there's an app or a way to see a notification history it would help me figure out why it's doing this.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to pull down notifications. The colors are usually set by each app in their respective notification settings. There's apps on the play store that can also help set colors but I think you need root. It's not hard to root and unroot though just don't unlock the bootloader.

Yeah, that's what I explained in my post. When I unlock my phone the home button LED turns off and when I swipe down to see notifications there are none, but as soon as I lock my phone it starts blinking again.
I just went through most of my apps and most have no options at all for the notify light. The only one that does is Facebook but the only option is for on/off and no option for the color. ICQ, GMail, and Outlook.com only lets me choose sound and vibrate. I don't think I've ever seen an app with options to select the color of the home button LED.

[Q] annoying notification [nokia xl]

Hello
I didn't manage to find an answer to my issue anywhere in the internet...
I have this annoying notification that always appears on my screen regarding some downloads that failed. It says "3 haven't finished", mentioning which files failed downloading. I went to downloads and also using file explorer trying to find incompleted dowloads, but nothing. It's not a big issue, I just want to keep my screen clean.
If the notification is in the notification panel>
Long press on that notification>
Click on manage app>
It takes you to app setting of that particular app>
Tick on the shhow notification and confirm.>
It should solve the problem.
Press thanks if it helped

the notification is on the main screen or idk how to say it, the screen that appears when you click the side power button, where all the notifcations appear for nokia x/x2/xl and such. I can't turn off in the app settings since it's download related notification and have no idea where to go.
I think you are saying the notification is in the slide to unlock lockscreen. Could you tell me what the notification says or probably post a screenshot too.

hangouts don't work

When I press the icon on the watch face the green circle just keeps spinning.
I can reply (using voice) to the incoming message after notification pops up, but I can not "view conversation" - screen flickers as if trying to open a window and stays the same.
Works fine on the connected phone.
Anyone else?
Works fine for me, try to sync apps again and failing that do a factory reset on the watch
