Standard Music app no longer auto plays when bluetooth headphones connect - LineageOS Questions & Answers

The music app used to have settings to auto play when headphones were connected but those settings have disappeared. Were they moved to another location?

[Q] Headphone to start radio app

How can i set it up to start tunein radio(or simply the builtin radio) instead of music player when i plug in the headphones?
Under the "Display" menu you should find a setting called "Page Buddy". This should then display all or your often used media apps when you plug in the headphones.
If you get the app "Tasker" you can script this to happen.

[Q] Change Bluetooth's Default Music Player from Google Music to Samsung Stock Music

Hi,
I have been enjoying my music using my Plantronics 903+ Bluetooth headset and it was working perfectly with the Samsung Stock music Player.
Even after I turn off my BT headset and then turn on, and clicking start/pause button from the BT headset, the song which i had listened earlier would start again. Also i love the Samsung's Music Square.
But suddenly I saw Google Music being installed in my phone and it had become my default music player. Now whenever i click on the BT start button, the Google Music app gets initiated.
I am unable to delete Google Music and unable to reset my Samsung Stock Music player as default music player. Is this the case with anyone and how did you reset your settings. Could anyone help me.
Kindly note, i have not rooted my phone.
Thanks.
Go to app manager and open google music. Then click clear defaults.

[Q] Music Not Stopping When Headphones Ejected

Hi, new Xperia Z1 Compact user here, I am using PlayerPro however when I eject my headphones the music does not pause, it seems to work fine with other players such as the WalkMan app and MXPlayer.
I am currently using the latest version of PlayerPro and there doesn't seem to be any settings regarding the pausing of music when headphones are ejected, I have the same version of PlayerPro on my Sony Xperia T and it pauses the music when headphones are ejected.
I have tried to use the Smart Connect app, this seems to work but I have to set it to open PlayerPro when headphones are inserted which isn't what I want it to open when I connect headphones. The smart connect app also runs another instance of the app so if I have PlayerPro running already then insert headphones the smart connect will run another PlayerPro which will have 2 songs playing at the same time.
Anyone have any idea how to get it to pause when ejecting headphones?!!!

[Q] How to mute media playback controls?

I don't like having the media notification on my watch with the little play/pause action, I prefer to just handle that with my phone. I tried specifically muting Pocketcasts and Spotify in the Android Wear app, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Any ideas? Is there a different app that I need to mute to make this happen?
what app are you using for music? for me the controls don't appear if i disable the lockscreen feature on poweramp
I use Spotify for music and Pocketcasts for podcasts. Same problem with both.
you can try muting spotify and pocketcasts, go on android wear, click on the cog icon on top right, it should be the first option in that menu
Edit: sorry reread your previous post, seems that didn't work, on spotify you can try to turn off device broadcast status or you can go to settings > apps > spotify and uncheck show notifications

music and podcast playback

I want to play music and podcasts on my watch (local files), without needing to have my phone nearby (i.e. not within bluetooth range). A few questions:
1. The Spotify app allows me to download playlists, but not albums? Does anyone know a way to directly download Albums? Or perhaps I have overlooked something?
2. I'm not aware of a podcast player app that can be installed on the watch that allows variable speed playback on the watch. I don't see a way to have the Samsung watch app music player adjust the speed of playback. Any suggestions?
On a separate, but semi related topic. If both the phone and the watch are on the same WIFI network, but NOT within bluetooth range, is there any way to control a phone podcast app and stream the audio from the phone to the watch---and thereafter listen to the audio from the watch via bluetooth headphones?
