I flashed noname kernel r1.8 but it caused battery drain issues on official lineageos, Now i got back to miui 9.6.3 where can I get the original xiaomi kernel zip ?????
It is the same as the boot.img found in the rom zips?
You should backup before flashing custom kernels and just restore your stock boot if you have problems.
Edit: - Use the stock boot.img from lineageos if still on that, not the MIUI rom image.
Unroot by Magisk ( twrp ) will restore stock kernel for you .

How do I install RenderZenith Kernel, or any basically any kernel? Do I need to boot into the Stock ROM first before flashing the kernel?
Or can I install the Kernel right after installing the Stock ROM without leaving TWRP, or rebooting.
Also, I managed to install RenderZenith with OxygenOS 5.1.5, but Wi-Fi didn't work, and there were stutters in the UI. So how do I install it properly?
some notes I give you
first of all any kernel now has two types
treble
and non treble
if you are on firmware 5.1.4 or above you need and must use the treble version
so in your case you need to download the treble version
another note the kernel is located in boot parttion (boot.img)
it can be flashed with root while the system has started or in recovery
my advice to you download RenderZenith v3.5 treble version along with magisk v16
do not try the beta (may be the cause of your wifi issue)
install both from recovery ,wipe caches(dalvil),then reboot
RZ is great for OOS you will get better smoothness with same battery life or better depending on the apps you use
I unlocked bootloader on 4th day , flashed TWRP tired PE, CrDroid, LOS 16 , PA , AOSP Extended roms but unable to boot any ROM. But can boot miui.eu, and other miui roms. I tried sunnyraj's TWRP 3.2.3, orange fox latest TWRP, PE TWRP, TWRP 3.2.3 Rolex+Riva , and treble enabler of 4-5 verieties , but no ROMs boot. Anybody has flashing guide? I'm not a noob . Not new to Android . I am flashing at least a ROM per day to all my phones. But this phone is a surprise.

1. Fastboot flash latest miui nougat rom using mi flash tool
[ Boot and setup miui, remove your mi account from phone then flash recovery ]
2. Fastboot flash custom recovery for base nougat
3. Format data and wipe internal storage
4. Flash any custom rom you want

Yes you can but there is no guarantee that the gsi/sgsi will boot or if booted will work properly. Only testing will tell.

This device hasn´t recovery partition, stock recovery interface is a part of the stock boot, when you flashed a custom rom it was overwritten but if you already flashed the TWRP installer what you can do now is to flash stock boot or a backup of the boot that you´re using but you´ll lose Magisk or a custom kernel if you have it.
The better is then to set up all included Magisk not to flash TWRP installer.
Hi guys,
after flashing china stable MIUI 12 and wanting to root again with custom recovery and magisk i got the problem as follows:
Device was blank, flashed TWRP through fastboot, then updated to SHRP.
With SHRP i flashed the china stable ROM MIUI 12 as zip file.
Booted once, system is fine, enabled developer options and debloated.
Moving magisk on the device and rebooting into recovery gave me stock recovery, so no flash of magisk possible hm.
Thought well, on stable Chines ROM now just flash TWRP once more, did like always, flashed vbmeta, flashed twrp, fastboot reboot and instant power + volume up to reboot TWRP, worked.
Now reboot leads in lost ROM, TWRP loop.
Where is the error please?
Just flashing china stable MIUI 12 once more and waiting for next step to safely root device.
so far I think, you should flash vbmeta before flashing AOSP rom, I don't know if your problem was solved or not. share your experience here so that others can be benefitted.
I tried dirty flashing from miui 13.0.3 to 13.0.4 via skkk twrp 3.8 I got a lot of errors, reboot into system and got bootloop but good thing fastboot is still working so i can save my phone.
The question is how to properly dirty flash here in rooted Poco F3?

I use Stock MIUI (rooted) and I just use Stock Bootloader, no TWRP.
TWRP skkk is still experimental... I don't trust it.
If you want flawless updates, I'd say flash Stock Boot.img with Fastboot, and only use TWRP by booting it from PC.
Maybe it's possible to install MIUI Updates over TWRP, but I think it's risky with TWRP skkk. It may be buggy
