which SD card will be perfect for adaptive storage for this device to run apps smoothly without any lag or force close?
I've found adaptive storage to run very unstable on the three android devices I've used it with, at least prior to Nougat or Oreo. Maybe it's gotten better with later android versions. As for what MicroSD card, I use the SanDisk Ultra series - inexpensive and fast. I heard the Samsung "premium" MicroSD cards are prone to overheating which can slow down data transference. Never tested it myself though.

I try to make video HD 720p but sometimes during recording freeze for 1 second and after restart good and after freeze 1 second...why?
is a problem of included memory 8gb class 2 that there isn't the better or is an hardware/software problem?
any solution?
I had the same problem, one of the xda member told me to format the memory card.i did not do that, but i had a 2 gb spare memory card. I formatted the 2gb card and then i took the video, there was no lag,it was working fine. Hope this helps. Try this and get back to me please.

I noticed the problem gone when I bought a class 10 card. In the mean time I have gone from Stock to ARHD ROM, so this might have helped also, but I'm pretty sure it's the card. If you can, try with a faster card (at least class 6). Also when shooting video make sure you have enough light otherwise the framerate might drop.
I had same problem.
The solution is to chanage SD card.
I've bought 10class 8gb Kingston and there is no freezing problem now

My HTC Desire's camera is messed up. I think it may be a hardware issue because I've wiped it, reinstalled cm7, formatted my original class 2 8gb sd, switched it to a class 4 32gb sd, formatted THAT card and I'm still SOL. Any ideas?
Maybe reboot the Handy or closed and Open the Camera app....sometimes it will be better.....i don't know
Damn. I just tried using the camera with Vignette and I get the same problem. I think it really may be a hardware problem.
Hey everyone.
My phone sometimes freezes and randomly reboots. I have about 120 MB free internally, but I do have a lot of apps moved onto the SD card usings apps2sd. Also, there are times where I can't download or install anything on the SD card, but can access everything on the SD card (which has about 20 GB free). I have a rooted Xperia Play r800x and I've been using a Class 10 64 GB card.
Part me thinks it might be the SD card, but my old 32GB card I was using (which was class 4) with the phone, it was doing the same thing, which is why I bought the new SD card.
I've also tried a new battery (from Sony).

Are you on stock from or custom because if its a custom from it could be a rom problem or else it might be a hardware issue. If you give a little more info I could probably help more.

I'm on stock.
The rebooting happens the most when the phone's screen is off overnight. When I turn the screen back on, the screen freezes where I can't unlock the device and then eventually reboots. I'm thinking it might be the SD card since a lot of my apps are stored on there, but I'm not sure.
My phone is frustrating me greatly. I think I have too many running apps as well that might be the issue (Widgetlocker, smart status bar, couple widgets). Not sure if that could be contributing to it.
Well i just started having this problem and i have an r800x as well. But for me it only happens when i slide open the game pad while the screens off. It then soft reboots(shows the rom bootlogo) and turns back on. But i lose all my homescreen icons that are on my sd card. I have no idea what the problem is though it might be the sd card since only the sd card apps dissappear.

What type of SD card are you using? I've heard issues with Class 10 (which might be my issue. I'm using a class 10 64gb)
Im using a class 4, 8 gb.

Abdel, your problem sounds like a software issue. Chances are there is a process set to open when the gamepad slides out. But for one reason or the other it's not working properly, thus causing reboots...
In maddogs' case, I'm not too certain, could be software related, dunno.
Either way the best bet to solve this problem is to reflash/reinstall your ROMs (if you could, I have no idea if that is possible in R800x).

I am a two week old proud owner of a GN8.0. I have a problem though. Recently, my GN8.0 has been experiencing some random reboots. I thought it might be a rouge app so I did a factory reset. To no avail!!! It's still doing the same thing. Did I buy a lemon?

For a couple of nights in a row, I've noticed that as I go to sleep (and fire up tune in radio) my device locks up and requires a hard shutdown and restart.
I've pulled logs but haven't looked at them yet, and have an older backup of the app I can restore. I don't remember whether this correlates with a Tune In update from the last few days but will be restoring an older version to see if it helps.

Mine does the same thing. Only once or twice a week and I have this thing loaded with apps (I think I have 500mb left of internal). If it did it more than that I'd be aggravated but I can deal with a once a week freeze up. I'm stock rooted with no mods other than root also.

I wouldnt call that loaded with apps. I have 26gb of apps on mine but I use foldermount to transfer the data to my microSD card. I try and keep at least 1.5gb of internal memory free as worry about stability issues if it gets reduced. I assume that apps need free space for cache etc and try to keep as much free as possible.
Only issues i've had is when im playing a game and have forgotten to take my tablet out of power saving mode. Im running my CPU under volted and underclocked.
If freeing up space on your internal storage isnt fixing your stability issues then you may have other issues. im pushing my tablet a little harder and having no problems with it.

Yeah. I did the internal - external swap on my note 2 but had issues (forget what they were but they were annoying), so I went back to normal internal and external. I also didn't like the idea that once you did the swap you were kinda stuck with it unless you wanted to redo a bunch of stuff if something were to happen to the SD. I have a class 10 64g SD card now with 57g available. Seems like a waste of space (I keep all my music on Google music) just sitting in this tablet. Maybe I'll take the internal/external swap for a spin again and see if the bugs have been worked out. OR...... Maybe Key lime Pie will bring apps 2 SD back :silly:

Just to clarify. l haven't swapped my internal and external. l just move my app data files to external via Folder Mount. That way l can still remove the micro SD if I so wish
Hi,
i dont know if anyone has already mentioned that or I'm unwillingly acting as captain obvious, but the wake-lag can be reduced/eliminated.
The lag is actually intended for the S-Voice feature. During the lag-time it listens and waits wether you want to use S-Voice. There's an option in the settings menu, which allows you to disable the S-Voice activation on homebutton. Once you disable this, the lag will disappear/improve drastically.
Cheers

For people with the Book Cover the fastest way to a working home screen is to enable Daynote and cancel past it...
I don't think that this is problem. I dissabled S voice in setting, same problem. Then I removed S voice apk from system, still same problem.

Which version do you have? P600?
I find that my wake lag (P605, MJ9) is completely gone when I remove the SD card from the slot.
No result here either

I have a P600, and the Samsung cover. I have disabled S Voice, and Day Note, but I still get a lag, and Day Note on the lockscreen. Don't get me wrong it is nothing to whine about, This is a great tablet and I love it, just want to tailor it to my liking. I can live with the lag on wake, and the Day Note.
Still a great tablet.
I have 605 and this annoying lag -.-

Mine is the card.

P600 no root, no lag.
I have the P605 and it's definitely with the microsd card
Same on mine, no card means no lag.

SM600 with sd card and never a wake-up lag (not with default firmware and surley not with CleanRom
PS. But maybe it is your sd card content. This is a well known issue with android that by corrupt files e.g. the media scanner got an endless loop and use power.
I've tried already two different sd cards, a 16gb SanDisk and a 64gb SanDisk ultra and the results are the same... with card LAG, remove card NO LAG, very frustrating
