Original Pneumatic Pressure System in Android? - MTCD Android Head Units General

Hello:
I have a Citroen C4 1.6 HDi from 2005.
It has factory tire pressure sensors, TPMS, on the screen only low pressure senses you.
I have the IDs of 10 numbers
Is there any Android application that can read these sensors and see the pressures?
Greetings and thanks

Huawei Honor V8 Unboxing, UI OS, Antutu Test, Battery, Camera Review

At night on May 10, Huawei launched its first V series product, Huawei honor V8, which is the other android flagship smartphone after last one Huawei Honor 7. And it has been improved in every aspect, especially Huawei Honor V8 netcome advanced version to use the top Kirin950 processor. It is equipped with 2K ultra clear screen to make the performance improve largely. How about Huawei honor V8? Let's check the review with us. I will introduce the Honor V8 netcom advanced version.
Watch Huawei Honor V8 hands on review:
Appearance
Huawei honor V8 has made some change in its appearance. First it abandons past ID bezel-less design and then uses the traditional ultra narrow bezel. While it keeps the screen to body ratio, it controls the black border of the screen. Even though it's white version under the screen on, it doesn't make us feel uncomfortable. In addition, in order to change the bottom too blank, Huawei honor v8 uses the Honor logo on the front. 2.5D screen ensures the hand feeling, too.

Huawei Honor V8 uses its black package to give us a mature and generous feeling.
Its package is pulling type design, it needs to take care to take out the phone because the phone is in the side of the box, if you take it out in the wrong direction, your phone will fall down.
Huawei Honor V8 has the big feature that it can support VR virtual reality. So its package is the simple VR headset.
Inside the box there are detailed instructions that teach you how to assemble into VR glasses box, so packing box can be fully used, and very environmental protection.
Inside the box also contains VR lens parts you need. After assembled VR box, put the Honor V8 into the box then you can enjoy VR film happily.
Huawei Honor V8 has three version with the same 9V/2A fast charger. According to the conference, it is built in 3500mAh battery. It can support 1.26days standby even under heavy use.
It can use USB typc C which has become the most popular use in the flagship smartphone.
Huawei honor V8 has declared SIM card specification and button function on its original screen protector. On the right side is volume button, power button, and smart button.
After peeling the original sticker, we can see the smartphone. This is Honor V8 champagne gold color. The official also provides platinum gold, rose gold, silver ice light, elegant white ash, ceramic, a total of six kinds of colors to choose from.
Despite using 5.7 inch screen, Huawei honor v8 is not large. Its dimension has 157.00×77.60×7.75mm similar as 5.5inch iPhone 6s plus. Accustomed to the domestic mobile phone users should be easy to manage this Honor V8.
Huawei Honor V8 three versions have 5.7inch screen. The carrier customized version and netcom version has 1920X1080 screen resolution, but netcom advance version has 2560X1440 screen resolution. Display effect is very exquisite. The 2k resolution screen is designed for VR tech.We know VR has become the mainstream to connect the phone. And VR technology principle is to screen content is split in two,one each for the person's left and right eye show the same content, so that ordinary 1080p resolution will be halved, lower perception effect. But definition of the 2k resolution in VR devices will have obvious ascension, So higher screen resolution of the smartphone will become the trend with VR devices become more popular.
It is worth mentioning that the honor also brought a new VR device, its biggest characteristic is to support within 700 ° bend optical adjustment,so that myopia don't have to wear glasses which can also see the contents of the VR devices. Moreover, Honor has reached the cooperation with Youku in video. There will be thousands of VR films in youku in the near future.
Huawei honor V8 use the virtual buttions inside screen same as the past honor phones. So the fuselage chin can be very narrow, coupled with Honor logo, improved more compact.
On the front of the fuselage, the receiver side is 8 million pixels front camera. Last year Honor series released reverse camera in Huawei honor 7i, this time they have accumulated the rich experience on Honor V8 to support multiple facial features, and so on.
The other side of fuselage only has one SIM card slot, looks very clean. In addition, it has 2.5D glass front panel, it looks good when used.
HONOR V8 advanced version has two in three SIM card slot. It means you can insert two Nano-sim card, or put one Nano SIM and a MicroSD TF card. It can support 128G expanded. This design makes those users who want the storage at the same time confused. It's good that advanced version has 64GB storage. It can store much data itself. It can also support 4G and Volte network, wireless up to 300M.
Huawei Honor V8 has an infrared transmitter in addition to the 3.5mm audio interface on the top, which can control the home appliances and some smart devices. EMUI built-in remote APP has supported the current most common appliances such as TV, air conditioning.
At the bottom of the fuselage can be plugged into the USB Type-C interface, while the left and right sides are designed in the modelling of the speaker, but the right is the real speaker, on the left is the microphone. When playing video, except the speaker makes a noise at the bottom of the fuselage, at the bottom of the fuselage at the top of the phone can also make voice,
Huawei Honor V8 has fingerprint identification located in the center of the rear fuselage, fingerprint identification should be put in front we have already discussed many times, V8 fingerprint identification is still a chip level of encryption, more secure than ordinary one.
Its fingerprint recognition success rate is quite high, need to mention is that my finger is easy to sweat, in most case i was stained with sweat, but in fingerprint identification unlock the phone often works. It's good experience for a user full of sweat.
The big screen mobile phone has become the mainstream. But if you want to make the balance between large screen and users' experience, it will not be easy. As for a large 5.7inch screen phone, Huawei honor v8 has good control on its fuselage size. Super narrow bezel design makes it phone narrower than the width of 5.5 inches, providing better visual effect as well as to ensure the good operation experience, it is not easy.
EMUI 4.1 OS
Honor V8 runs EMUI4.1 OS based on Android6.0. After these years of development, EMUI has been already very mature, also received a large number of users' praise. Huawei Honor V8 also brings us some new features.
Besides music, video, prerequisite software application market, Huawei honor V8 has built-in third party applications, all third-party applications can be removed manually, don't have to worry about taking up valuable storage space.
Android mobile phone after launch an application, is often associated with starting a series of applications, not only the cost of system resources, but also seriously affect the life. Honor V8 will prompt notice when that happens, and ban start application associated with each other, so as to achieve the aim of energy saving. EMUI4.1 default prohibited application to create a desktop shortcut, keep clean and let user's desktop simple.
Huawei Honor V8 support NFC function to support credit card payment and other mobile phone payment. It provides very convenience for you. EMUI4.1 OS also provides the best protection for personal privacy.
Hardware
Huawei Honor V8 uses Kirin950 processor with 16nm process, 4 A72 architecture 2.5Ghz core and 4 A53 architecture 1.8ghz core. The overall performance is very close to Snapdragon820. Combined with RAM4GB, it can ensure the most application and games running smoothly.
In antutu test, Huawei honor V8 has reached 9,9000 score, although it has some distance with Snapdragon 820 and Apple A9 processor, but at this point the practical experience and the system basically have no difference.
In Geekbench3 tests, Huawei honor v8 has won the mononuclear 1916, multi-core 6616 points, multi-core performance is particularly good, beyond the Snapdragon 810 and Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. Now Xiaomi mi5 with Snapdraon 820 only has 5,000 score. So Honor v8 with Kirin950 has its advantage in multi-core performance.
We have done the power consumption test, choose the system built-in "video" application , the video "ode to joy", it shows super clear image quality.
After playing 40 minutes, it shows 41% power left. It's quite good for 2k screen.
Huawei honor v8 supports a variety of power saving mode, we can use smart saving energy in daily use. The system will automatically adjust the CPU frequency. You can open performance when play games. You can also adjust the screen resolution to 1920X1080 to save the power. and you should close the application you don't use. After it comes in super saving mode, you can use more 5 hours in daily use.
As for charging speed, the three versions are all 3500mAb battery, 9V/2A fast charge. It takes about 100 minutes actually. So far it has become very popular use in fast charge of smartphone.
Camera
Huawei honor V8 dual camera support F/0.95 to F/16 aperture adjustment. Large aperture can be similar to a wide range of SLR background blur effect, suitable for portrait and still life. While a small aperture can bring about more detail, suitable for landscape.
In ordinary photo mode, click the aperture of top screen to the mode of big aperture effect mode, by sliding can implement different aperture size, at the same time, along with the background of degree will change too.
3D dynamic view is a very interesting function, in this mode, holding shutter button at an object on a circle, can obtain 3D panorama picture, and drag the photo to let it move. Honor V8 has the professional photo mode function, it not only can adjust the ISO,shutter speed, white balance, exposure compensation.
Huawei honor V8 has 8MP front camera to support beauty facial picture taking.
Here are some photos:
In conclusion, Huawei honor v8 as the flagship smartphone makes us amazed not only in hardware or design. Dual cameras also bring us much convenience. It has shown the powerful influence to compare with other brands. The Kirin950 processor makes it on a top performance. Therefore, it's good for the users like young or old. I am very satisfied with the experience of this Huawei Honor V8.

of course they have different in camera, Huawei honor V8 has dual camera both with 12MP Back and front, but huawei p9 just has 8MP front camera, 12mp back camera.
Does it have 3 mics as it has Mate 8? Does it have stereo speakers?

Thank you for your answer. I use Mate 8 at the moment, and I'm interested if I change Mate 8 to Honor V8, will I have better audio quality. First of all I use phone on the loudspeaker very often. I like to work on the keyboard and speak without headphones. If V8 has 3 mics as it Mate8 has and V8 has 2 speakers (as you mentioned) instead of one on Mate8 I think it will be a good change.
Hi guys,
Just a question to owners of the V8 (or everybody that experienced updating chinese OS) , I downloaded recently a new ota update, unfortunately the update description is in chinese. Can I update without risk? Do you know what is thé update for?

No problem . Some chinese description remain in the rom. It will update successively to nougat 7.0. There's no risk because it's a chinese phone for chinese market ONLY so the rom is only for this phone and area. No mistake is possible. i got Al10 and Al20 and they are now on Nougat 7.0 and <EMUI5.0.
(i got multilanguage rom)

[Review] Haier Iron v1 Smartwatch

Haier Iron v1 Smartwatch
Introduction
I bet that you know what a smartwatch is, if you're reading this. They come in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes, and their function is to make the phone-life even easier and better. The most known smartwatches out there are made by big brands such as Samsung, LG and Sony for instance. They are well know because they have succeeded in the phone market by producing good phones and accessories - but have you heard about Haier?
Haier Group is a Chinese multinational consumer electronics and home appliances company that sells everything from refrigerators to phone accessories. And they've made a smartwatch which they named "Haier Iron v1 Smartwatch". With promising specifications and a nicely sized screen, this seemed to look promising to test out and use on my own. Please note that I have never been using a smartwatch before, so this would in many ways be my first experiences using one.
Before we start, you can also read more about the watch, and buy it here: http://bit.ly/1pJQoKL
Also check out my video review (Sorry, new on this – I take constructive feedbacks):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxp5_HGWl8Q
Specifications
According to Haier themselves, these are the specifications on the Haier Iron v1
MTK 2502C chipset
380 mAh battery
Precise heart rate monitor
Bluetooth 4.0
Vibration
64 MB Ram
128 MB local storage
No SD support
No SIM-card support
Built in speaker and microphone
0.2 Megapixel camera
IPS screen protected with Gorilla glass
Stainless steel frame
Silicone wristband
Black
Product weight: 0.11 kg
The dial diameter: 4.0 x 4.7 x 1.0 cm / 1.57 x 1.85 x 0.39 inches
Build material
Mainly you’ll find silicone and plastic that has been made to look like steel – which the brand claim it is. However, the finish (the paint) makes it feel a bit premium, and last but not least – lighter. I once had this watch that were made out of a lot of metal, and I remember being quite dissatisfied with it because it was a bit too heavy – which I’m afraid this watch would be with stainless steel (as claimed) – perhaps only the mechanism to lock it to the holes are. The silicone wristband sits very well on my arm, it’s comfortable and doesn’t wackle much.
The LCD screen has a decent amount of pixels, bringing sharp and clear screens of information. The glass is rather impressively scratch resistant, as I already had the watch for 2 months I barely see any scratch at all after daily use.
The charging port lid is fastened to the frame of the clock by rubber, making it flexible and easy to take on and off. Just have to mention that the clock is claimed to be water resistant, but according to the material it’s made of, the missing sealing around the charging port and the gap between the function key and the frame, it seems to be questionable. So, be careful dipping it in water 
Features and applications
Clock interface (home screen) with different clock variations (can download more through the official app), and following apps in the app drawer:
Phonebook, Dialer, Call Logs, Messaging, Remote notifier (it forwards the notifcations from the phone to your clock), Find my device, Alarm, Calendar, Bt Music remote control, Remote capture, BT connection settings, File manager, Pedometer, sleep monitor, UI theme settings, sedentary reminder, Heart rate checker, Real time heart rate sensor, sound recorder, Stopwatch, Calculator, settings (clock, sound, vibration, brightness, functions), Camera, Image Viewer.
(I can expand information about the various applications if wanted.)
Features such as waking up the screen when you angle the arm correctly, vibrating and/or sound notifications, strong brightness, pedometer and heart rate sensor makes this a somewhat useful watch. And you won’t believe how useful the calculator is when you suddenly need it.
Also, you can make it sync data collected to your phone, and here android requires an application (Fundo Wear) – I’m not sure about Iphone at the moment. The sedentary reminder is awesome if you’re sitting still for longer periods of time. It reminds you simply to move when it detects you are stationary for a while.
Camera quality is ‘ok-‘ because the resolution is at 0.3 megapixels. But, if we look at the positive things with it, it takes good pictures compared to many similar priced watches. It’s simple, but works.
Heart rate sensor is a bit weak, so sometimes I have to press it against my skin a bit to make it detect anything, but that’s a minor thing only and doesn’t affect my overall experience with it 
Pros and cons:
Pros:
Lightweight
Responsive
Battery that lasts through two or more days consecutively
Ability to push notifications from the phone and read a bit of contents
The shape and feel
Charges fast
The GUI
Cons
Speaker quality on loud levels
Camera Quality
It hangs up at some whatsapp notifications (weird)
Personal opinions and do I recommend it?
Well, I wrote the review in a bit personal manner. I stated my opinion along the way, but let me just sum it all in here. I’ve never had a smart watch before now; this is the first one I had. So whatever my opinion is, take that in consideration.
Personally I had much lower expectations to this watch. I didn’t even expect it to function when it came to the camera, notifications and the vibration really got me. How chill isn’t it to just walk with friends, the phone is muted and the only thing you feel is this awesome vibration on your wrist? I don’t even have to pick up my phone from my pocket or anything, just lift my arm.
Yeh I liked it, it impressed me positively in many ways. If you don’t want to waste much money on a Samsung-branded one or similar, or if you just want to experience having a smartwatch, I highly recommend something like the Haier Iron V1.
Price to performance/features: good.
My dice will show: 5 of 6 (considered the price).

IP68 | 10 hours SOT! | Blackview BV6000 review | Into a bucket of soapy water | 3GB

The tough phone market is one of the last few untapped mobile markets, with just a few models existing. Blackview decided to tap into it with the BV6000.... A 3GB 32GB big battery, MT6755 Helio P10 mobile.
Source
According to Blackview, the BV6000 is IP68 certified. We did a short test swimming it around in a bucket of soapy water. Not extensive, just a first test to see if it survives.
Full specs of the BV6000
SoC: MT6755 MT6755 Helio P10
CPU: big.LITTLE 64-bit Cortex-A53 [email protected][email protected]
GPU: Mali-T860MP2
Display: 4.7"@720P IPS OGS Gorilla Glass 3
RAM: 3GB
ROM storage: 32GB
Rear camera: 13MP OmniVision
Front camera: 5MP OV5670
NFC: Yes
TF SD expandable: Yes
Dual-SIM: Yes
Quick-Charge: Yes (5V2A)
Atmosphere pressure sensor: Yes
Compass: Yes
OTG: Yes
IP rating: IP68 Shockproof / Waterproof / Dustproof
Battery: 4200mAh (tested and confirmed)
Display
Some may consider 720p a downside, but being a tough phone, this is a mobile we'd expect should have extreme battery life and being 720p helps towards this end. And, while 720p might not cut it for many on a 5.5" display, on a 4.7" display 720p is dense enough.
It looks good from all angles, even extreme diagonals, maintaining color and contrast without issue.
SOT time
Testing with our standard 720p/WiFi/YouTube/140lux, the Blackview BV6000 battery gave us 10+ hours SOT screenon time.
RAM / ROM
Storage on the BV6000 is 32GB. In addition to the big storage, a TF SD card can be added to expand. RAM is a hefty 3GB; more than enough.
OS
The OS is Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we'll have a Blackview BV6000 root guide coming up, but for now the OS is excellent. Everything is extremely fluid in regards to transitions and animations. Rapid touch typing is no issue, with zero hangups.
Google Play comes out of the box and is working without issue. There were no force closes or issues otherwise with any of the tests we ran.
WiFi
Outstanding, keeping with the best of the best maintaining a fast, stable connection at 144ft/44m.
GPS
Great. Hitting and maintaining mid/high 30's to low 40's on 7 satellites (see video).
Camera sample images
The camera on the BV6000 is OmniVision OV13853. Do not underestimate OmniVision. This is a good sensor, capable of 1/4 speed slow-mo (see video). Based on our preliminary shots delivers sharp images in line with mid-range Samsung / Sony sensors.
Other components
Included with the Blackview BV6000 is compass, gyroscope, FM radio, SOS button, NFC, atmospheric pressure sensor, dedicated camera button.
This is just a preliminary review, but at this point, we can confidently recommend the Blackview BV6000. We have confirmed the battery as 4200mAh and Blackview is a class act in comparison to some of the other China brands.

(20160608 Scatter, stock recovery, TWRP, supersu)
I have this phone, there have been a few issues reagrding the gyro been wired wrong and needing a firmware update which fixed this.
All problems have been fixed with software updates. However there is one hardware issue that isnt so easy to solve. After a while the speaker gets loose in the casing and from then on it rattles when you shake it and the sound is terrible through the speaker.. The speaker was awesome when i got it but two weeks later now it rattles and sounds terrible.. so i may have to open up the phone and attempt to glue the speaker in place.. Apart from this issue I think its an awesome phone. Likely made in a number of factories so there may be differences with some batches.. some have complained of camera freezing and compass not working.. im happy with my purchase.. im hoping it will last a long time and be waterproof and drop proof..
Do you have a video of fixing Gyro

I got mine one two days back, everything seems to be working fine apart from Compass and Gyro.
VR exprience is crappy with this phone as if you move your head so fast, it keep changing object position, so i guess that must be Gyro issue.
My Build number is: BV6000_Blackview_V01_20160822.
Look forward to your response.
I saw many bad comments about the Camera picture and video quality, Display resolution is not sharp and lower side. Therefore I ordered AGM A8 because of 5 Inch HD display, Android 7.0, 13MP HD camera, real huge battery capacity, and cheaper in term of price.
I believe that this phone is the best value for money . looking forward to receiving my unit soon.

Water-Proof Test of the DOOGEE T5
DOOGEE T5 is the world’s first smartphone that combines the DIY style with 3-proofing. The Rugged Nature and Exchangeable Style, makes you have more choices basing on the environment's appearance and style.
They made a water-proof test (IP67 protection). If it resists, it means surviving in the harsh outdoor environment is not a problem.
Website: http://www.doogee.cc
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/doogee.cc
Twitter: https://twitter.com/DOOGEE_official
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/doogee_official
IP67 Protection, what does it mean?
DOOGEE has labeled the T5 with IP67 Certification so to understand its level of water resistance we need to check what IP67 certification means. The certification system is administered by the International Electrotechnical Commission and can be broken down as follows:
IP stands for Ingress Protection
- The first digit is on a scale of 0 to 6 and represents the level of dust protection the device offers (higher numbers are better)
- The second digit is on a scale of 0 to 9 and represents the level of water protection the device offers (higher numbers are better)
Based on this scale (and according to the IEC), the DOOGEE T5 should offer full dust protection and water protection when submerged in up to 1 meter of water for a 30 minute duration.
Considering its Rugged design, i would expect even better protection from this smartphone, but is has been certified as IP67 so any other test that doesn't meet this spec. then it would be at your own risk.
Also, for those who are interested, the DG700 (practically the device on which the T5 is based on) is now even more discounted than before (because its successor is near the door), but this is a limit offer until this weekend.
The DOOGEE T5 is kind of upgraded version of the DG700, which also combined the 3-proofing with the similar luxury appearance. The back cover has two choices, the crocodile texture calfskin and lambskin.
This is the DOOGEE DG700 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/doogee-titans-2-dg700-unboxing-hands-t2953664
If you can’t wait for the T5, you can buy a DG700 first because that's still a good device that shares many features.

The DOOGEE T5 will be launched on the 15th of August on DOOGEE's Official Website, where there will be a voting activity with the theme "The businessport phone, which style would you like?". Anyone can vote by choosing the Business T5 or the Sporty T5.
As a first round, it will be available on all official licensed stores, that can be found on the DOOGEE's website, then it will be also available on eBay & Amazon starting from mid-September.
Features:
Dual Style & IP67
The DOOGEE T5 is the world's first phone that combines dual appearance with IP67. It provides two appearances to be changed in seconds, and the relevant UI as well. Reaching IP67 rate, it means that it proofs water, dust and pressure.
13Mpix with PDAF, a Flagship Camera
Normal tri-proof phones do not perform well as regards photo quality, except the DOOGEE T5. 13Mpix Samsung Rear Camera with PDAF and 5Mpix Front Camera offer an outstanding shooting experience.
Comparison between DG700 & T5:
The DOOGEE T5 is a kind of upgraded version of the DG700. Compared to the quad-core CPU used in the DG700, the 8x 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processors of the T5 highly increases the performance.
The DG700 has 5Mpix front camera and 8Mpix rear camera, while the T5 has 5Mpix front camera and 13Mpix rear camera with PDAF.
Compared with the 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM of the DG700, the T5 has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, and the 32GB ROM memory can be expanded up to 64GB. You can keep all your stuff.
Last, but not least, compared with the 4000mAh battery of the DG700, the T5 has 4500mAh battery and 5V/2A fast charge.

Notification LED?!
Does this phone have a notification LED?
I've been asking in different forums and even the licensed reseller stores, I still don't have an answer! ... It's still a pre-order item.
I held off buying the Blackview BV6000 because of this issue, no notification LED, how can a manufacturer miss this small, yet purposely vital feature?!

I'll receive it next week so I'll let you know soon, but I think it doesn't have it. Check the DOOGEE video where they tested its waterproof capabilities, in the Settings menu (shown in this video) it should be shown if present.

Charging/charged LED Notification is not in the settings menu, WTF, is this your 1st phone? .... And what does a video testing its waterproofness have to do with my question?
:silly::silly:

I mean, check that video, they are showing you the Settings Menu after they take the device from Water (i remember that), so check if in that menu there is any kind of indication to the Notification Light or something similar. (unfortunately there isn't a specific menu name, MTK devices are a bit weird about this)
My reply wasn't too clear, but it wasn't neither so hard to understand...someone needs to calm down it seems...
Development & Support thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/doogee-t5-development-support-t3445982
Doogee released a video of production process for T5:
Probably the best spec of this T5 is the IP67 certification and shock proof integrated frame/case:
I got the device some days ago and yeah it is pretty good.
The chassis is pretty well made, Android works extremely smooth and I haven't faced any issue yet with it. Only the back cover management isn't perfect (if you change the cover/style, the UI theme gets automatically changed, but not always).
As usual, I'll provide you a review of the device soon.
Introduction
This is the businessport DOOGEE T5 Review.
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6753 SOC clocked at 1.3GHz, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. It shares the same classic Rear Camera sensor used by the Redmi 3 Pro (13MP Samsung S5K3L8 with PDAF) while the Front Camera sensor is a 5MP OmniVision OV5648. The manufacturer of the Screen isn't known yet, but it is pretty good and super bright. Follow my next paragraphs to know more.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with an huge amount of accessories, including 2 different back covers and frames for Dual Appearance: 1x Plastic Screen Protector, 1x OTG Cable, 1x SIM/MicroSD tray Eject Tool, 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/2A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, and the Smartphone (of course).
As already said before, you will find 2 appearances in order to customize your Device's Style depending on the environment (or the tastes why not). I'll talk about this in one of the next paragraph.
The device has a Rugged Chassis, that mixes Metal, Plastic and Rubber for the best protection possible. Do not forget that this is IP67 Certified, so you can have fun with it without having to worry about its, and probably yours too, safety.
It feels super solid, the best made device i have ever tried as regards build quality. As certified by DOOGEE, and following IP67 protection, it is water-proof (up to 1 meter), dust-proof and pressure-proof. Let's say it, it is also kid-proof haha.
Being a rugged device you can't expect compact sizes, but it is lighter than another device i have tried some months ago that wasn't rugged (CUBOT H2), so DOOGEE did a great job as regards its build quality.
It is 15.37x7.84x1.37mm (using the Sporty Cover, because that's what i like most) and it weights 223g, again not too much considering that it is rugged.
On the front side there is the Standard Display, no 2.5D or anything similar, with big bezels. The upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece with a nice Silver Frame, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. No Notification LED is here unfortunately.
On the lower front side there is only the Soft Keys zone, with Menu, Home and Back buttons. As you might notice, on the upper & lower areas of the device there is a Glossy Finiture, that's the block where the ports are hidden just behind.
On the back side it's where the magic happens. Dual Back Covers, and everytime you change the back cover also the UI gets automatically changed. (basically an automatic theme switch)
The upper rear side of the device features the Samsung Camera Sensor supported by a Single (the Quick Start guide says Dual, but i can only see one) Rounded Flash (Single-Tone) configuration, and nothing else.
The lower rear side of the device features the huge speaker hole, that allows the huge internal speaker to output audio at maximum volume.
Device
DIY Instructions/Demostration (T5 Exclusive!)
So, if you are one of my followers you might have noticed this neverseen paragragh in this review. This device explains why. Being the only one that allows you to change between two styles, i thought that a demostration or anything else about it might be interesting for you all.
Starting from the Screwdriver required to handle the whole process, just imagine which type you need. Yes, a T5 Screwdriver haha.
Anyway, as regards the screws there are two used types, with different size. The longest type is used only with the Sporty sides, while the standard/shorter type is used with the Business sides.
My recommendation is to not use the Screwdriver provided in the package, because it isn't good and i managed to destroy it with just a few usages. This is the only negative aspect i have noticed about the kit.
Use your own Screwdriver, and it will provide you best results without having to worry about its safety.
As you might probably think, is it possible to mix the styles? My reply is: YES! This is what a did to my T5. Business Sides with Sporty Back Cover, providing best protection while leaving the sporty design.
If you want to know more info about this paragraph, just leave here a post and i will reply you.
Screen
The screen is pretty good, super bright but there is a small (barely noticeable) backlight bleeding on the left corner.
Light Sensor works pretty well and it supports smooth light changes. This is the maximum screen brightness.
Viewing Angles are perfect, comparable to an AMOLED screen. (excluding the IPS limitations)
Camera
Rear Camera is a pretty good Samsung ISOCELL, so it provides some nice quality photos on almost every condition. More photos (such as outdoor ones) coming soon, i have a cold right now...
Flashlight isn't perfect, but it is pretty powerful. As you can see, it is a just a bit under-positioned compared to the Camera Sensor. It might be an engineering sample issue maybe, i don't know.
As regards Video Recording, 1080p videos (Video Quality – Fine) are recorded with an high level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos.
Front Camera records decent photos, and it seems to be a wide-angle variant. Selfie-lovers will appreciate it.
Audio
Speaker is how nearly as good as you would expect from a rugged device. Decently-Loud! Well it lacks low-frequencies a bit, it is slightly muffled maybe due to its waterproof protection but its volume is high.
In-Call Quality is near-excellent, finally an earpiece where there isn't the usual low-clarity sound. Loud (maybe also a bit too much), and with good clarity.
As regards the Microphone, it works decently well in any case (in-call, VOIP, etc...).
The Audio Department has been accurately enough designed, so i thank DOOGEE for taking care about this.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, even though some 3G frequencies are missing, maybe my engineering sample will get other frequencies with an update, who knows.
4G Network Speed is pretty good, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed, is just fine as it should.
WiFi 5GHz isn't supported here, so only 2.4GHz WiFi speed can be tested. I managed to get connected to my network connection at 65mbps, and Speed Tests reached more or less 41mbps.
Battery Life (do not rely on my test)
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and its capacity is a bit lower than declared. Declared 4500mAh, Real ~4310mAh. (190mAh missing, nothing serious).
The Geekbench Battery Test provided some nice results, and the software used on my device isn't 100% ready-to-use so will probably get even better with next updates.
https://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/383660
Software
The Software is completely clean, with an almost complete Nexus-like experience. As all latest devices, it is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with some minor customizations and some extra-apps installed such as "Bagan Keyboard", "Xender", "Documents to Go" and "Parallel Space". Don't worry though, they can be disabled.
As every DOOGEE device, also this one has the usual Settings App with Black Background. Also, following other Mediatek devices, Gestures are here.
The Theme Management is easy to use, just go to the Wallpaper Chooser and you will be redirected to the Themes app. Useful if you want to switch between the Business & Sporty UIs without having to worry about the installed back cover.
Also, there is a Magnetometer/Compass here, but lacks a Gyroscope & Barometer.
There isn't anything else special about the software. It runs super smooth thanks to its HD-Only display, always responsive and there are always more than 2 GB of Free RAM on idle.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, PCMark (Work & Storage) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance is better than other MT6753 devices, but still low on OpenGL 3.0 & 3.1 tests. You can’t expect something better, this is still a mid-range GPU.
Other 3DMark tests can be found on my Imgur album linked at the bottom of the thread.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is good, especially as regards Reading Speed. Writing Speed isn’t as good as other devices though, maybe it requires a little software update, anyway still high enough to handle almost every task.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is pretty high. 3D Games will run with no issues at all.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (8x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
PCMark – As you can see, only Writing score is a bit low compared to other scores. Pretty good.
Work
Storage
Even if this device is still running a not-so-new MT6753 CPU, it still performs well and the HD-Only screen helps the GPU to provide best performance everywhere. As i always say, with an MT6753 the HD-Only display works best.
Conclusions
DOOGEE did a great job with this device, probably the only Rugged device that doesn't have an ugly chassis or anything bad. Together with the DIY fun, it confirms that it is also a different device than others. It provides nice performance, great screen quality and a good camera creating a good combination of aspects.
I might have expected a better CPU, but it would have increased its price so it is good as is. Cheap enough, solid and fun.
So, do I recommend it? If you are searching for a Rugged Device, or for a different device that everyone can notice being unique, then Yes! Of course if you are searching for a slim or anything else, then this isn't for you.

DOOGEE T5 Lite - Lite version of the T5 is coming, at the official price of 100USD
All the features of T5 Lite are same of the T5 that DOOGEE launched on 15th August.
T5 and T5 lite allow users to enjoy DIY fun as their main feature on both device is the dual-appearance. One of the appearance features a crocodile textured back cover and the other one is a sporty PolyCarbonate back cover. Further more, their inner UI automatically changes while the outer shell are replaced.
Although T5 Lite will be sold at only 100USD (Official Price), half of the T5 Price, it still provides the cool and useful IP67 certification, which means that it can proof water, dust and pressure.
The main differences between the models are in the processor, memory and camera departments. The T5 Lite is Quad-Core (maybe MT6735?) with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 5Mpix OmniVision front camera, 8Mpix SONY IMX219 rear camera. Everything else is exactly the same as on the T5.
So, for those for are not searching for such high performance of the T5, a cheaper Lite version will be great.
