microsoft live labs deep fish????

i know this is the wrong area of the forums to post this, but this is where every one is hangin this days,, so i was wondering if any one has the activation code for the deep fish browser from mocrosoft???? i got the cab from some where else, i got to the live labs site to late< and the beta had allready been closed,,, ps i have the cab if any one wants it but it needs a activation code thus my delema,, thanks for any help

Dont follow the directions you find with google (using the promo code DFPRESS) just sign up for MS beta's with your live account and then put those same details into the deepfish download section. I got a code first time and second time(2 pda's). No i wont give one to you. I dont know what all the fuss is anyway. Its not that good.

Yeah, I just signed up again today and got an activation code about an hour ago. So, I'm sure they're giving them out pretty liberally. But I'm with you, I'm not a huge fan of it (so far). It is somewhat difficult and clumsy to use. But hey, it is in it's earliest beta stages, so I'm sure it'll better later on.

Thank you, I have been dealing with palm and pocket pc for a long, long time. My first PDA was a Pilot 1000. I have been lurking in this forum for a long time. I have learned a lot in my years from this forum and others. I am a beta tester for a few well known software’s. So please don't let my post count make a fool out of you.

The internet is courage juice to some people. I think the ones that are most unnecessarily sarcastic on here, are probably the ones who used to get slapped upside the head by bullies all thru their high school years, and now have found a channel thru xda to vent their anger loll!

Sadly that promo hasn't worked for me on any of the 5 accounts I registered for most of which were done yesterday afternoon when that was posted.
Thanks though for the assist and I'll have to sit tight for a bit until they release further codes to test with.
(This and WM6 BE 2.0 are the only reasons I may keep my 8525 and not go to the BlackBerry world...)

Help Needed - I'm desperate!!!!

I desperately need some help. So please, please can somebody rescue me....
My girlfriend bought a HTC Touch Dual from ebay which was locked to the Orange Network in the UK. I tried to unlock the phone for her so she could use her Vodafone SIM and have made a right mess! I used an eight-step process on one of the threads on this forum and got completley lost.
Firstly, I don't really know what I'm doing, and have no idea what a 'radio', 'rom', etc is. In fact, in reading these forums I realise how out of my depth I am.
Would somebody be able to help me out. Not necesarily with unlocking, but just getting the unit back to working order - i.e. so the cameras work, the sound works, the screen responds to my taps, the wireless card works, etc...
Please remember I know nothing about these machines, so you will need to use VERY simple explanation!!

My best advice is, try and flash a rom on the device for the device(learn how to first, you don't need to know all the details involved just the process, and what to download), then buy a cheap unlocking solution online.

So, I'm going to start a comprehensive data gathering from all Desire users out there ("bricked" and not "bricked") in order to build a database big enough to be used for some statistical find-outs; the resulting data will be shared with Paul and the folks that are trying to sort this out, obviously.

A translator you can really talk to, literally. Say what you need and Speechy VTS will translate and speak out loud what you said in English for others to know what you really need or if you're just trying to learn the language to prepare for your trip.
So when you're at the Airport and no one speaks English and you don't know the native tongue, you can say "How do I get to Terminal B" and know someone who speaks Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or French can help.
Currently in BETA and as we've encountered 1-error out of 10 so far, we may be needing more testers but on a non-AT&T Network. If you're interested, please let me know as we will contact you if you're deemed needed.

Hi Budniu,
Currently at the time of the screen shot, those were the only languages supported but we've now migrated to a whole new speech service that is using a speech server hosted in the cloud...
We we're trying to make it a non-net connected App but we've gotten requests/concerns wanting other languages like Babel fish, Bing & Google Translators offer.
Good thing is, we don't make App's around us and what we want. We make what YOU, the users want and that is our main goal.

Unfortunately though, an automatic closing issue kept occurring on non-US Phone Carriers using SpeechyVTS 0.0.6B. Everyone who got a pre-existing copy, including USA has been asked to please remove from his/her phone, just temporarily.
Good news is, we've spotted the error and I think pretty much done but just want to make sure it's workable and stays loaded before allowing even US users access once again... We will notify you ALL immediately and update the screen shot.
I appreciate your message as it's nice to know we have others interested!

Speechy: VTS got a bit of a face-lift... Here she is! Now with a iPhone "like" scroll list to easily scroll through the list of languages and the list acts just like an iPhone list as it can be flicked and extra "cushion" to the top and bottom of the list when you pull/scroll through it...
Icon's/Tiles are being revamped... All those who were interested in testing, you'll be notified.

BETA Requests ENDING!
I would like to thank EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU, you've all been great and have made this very exciting for us.
However, we've gotten an outrageous amount of requests which will be ending, tonight. We will not be allowing anyone else as of 11/23/11 - 9:45 PM PDT. Very sorry but as we didn't want to turn anyone down, we got mass amounts of requests!

A: Actually, it is... The App is named TESA (The Extremely Smart App) and it is our take on the ever so popular iPhone 4GS Plugin, Siri.

A: No. TESA is programmed with a hundred+ (or will be) options/functionality and really to be used to help those who are blind or bad vision and additionally for general use of course.

A: It is quite a bit but that's ok as we're making this a public TODO List where you the users get to help add functionality in to an App. With a simple form, submit a desired task OR word/phrase/etc and could be added and in some cases (if verified) instantly!

For promoting (so aggressively) commercial app you should pick another forum, AFAIK...

It will be free. If you wish to have the entirely other edition with OCR translations included (not shown), that will be paid. TESA will be free as well, maybe a popup but doesn't seem logical since really no UI for it and can use Bluetooth to use it.

I forgot to ask... Which forum should I be directed to for my commercial apps?

When I deactivate google play services, this dissapear and the phone cand be used, but without any of his google advantages, just like an huawei. What can I do to make GMS avabile, without reseting soon danger?

Apart from reselling your phone for pieces or using it as media device, you're out of luck.

Yep. Your phone was stolen from a business/company whom has authorized control over it and can report it as stolen once they realize that it is missing. Once it is reported as stolen, the phone's unique IMEI identification code will be blacklisted and the phone will not be of any use - and there is no way around this.
I'm starting to wonder why so many people are purchasing without checking first/stealing these devices...
