My P2 doesn't shutdown completey with the normal procedure after installing Magisk root. Regular Procedure: Pressing off button for 2-3 seconds, select shutdown, P2 shutdown procedure starts, vibration shows end of shutdown, screen is off. This is working BUT starting again is only possible by pressing on/off button for 10-15 seconds. Normaly it starts after 2-3 seconds. So it is a hard restart.
I noticed it after a while because I had a unread message/unanswered calls wit the status LED blinking during shutdown. It doesn't stop blinking after shutdown. Is this normal for the P2?

I have this problem with my EVO. This is the sequence:
1. Push power button
2. Boots to HTC EVO 4G screen
3. Screen turns black, vibrates three times, then turns off.
4. Green notification LED flashes while phone is off, unable to turn back on unless I pull the battery.
5. repeats
My phone is rooted. I can get to the HBOOT screen (pressing volume down and power button), but even if I boot to recovery, it'll repeat the sequence above.
ANy solutions?
My two day old LiveView just refuses to stay on now. It worked relatively ok for a day with the usual random disconnects but and now, everytime I turn it on it goes into pairing mode and switches off 5 or so seconds later (shows the SE logo and switches itself off).
The only way I can get it to remain on is by holding the top right button. It stays on but as soon as I let it go, bam, it switches off again. The battery is full, I have run the update (had to keep the button held down for that too!), tried to hold the power button for 8 seconds to reset it and basically done everything I can think of to make it work.
Anyone have ideas?
UPDATE - This even happens when I plug it into the charger. It turns on, LED blinks red/green, turns off after 5 seconds and the LED doesnt stay on solid red (charging).
hi guys i have a captivate glide with some startup problem and restart,
By placing the battery, it starts without pressing the power button.
sometime in the beginning, enters a cycle and does not pass the logo of Sansung.
if I enter CWM or Download mode also restarts.
When he can enter the AT & T logo has sometimes restarts.
If he can fully charge, has sometimes restarts.
if so far so good, I use it for about 20/30 seconds, but if the screen lock comes on (black screen), pressing the power button to bring the screen back, last 4 seconds restarts.
sometimes try to use another method to bring the screen back,
pressed volume does not work.
to make the sliding keyboard, at this time I get 3 to 4 seconds of screen, then turns green with black stripes and restarts.
the battery is new. and the system is factory 4.0.4
After I accidentally kind of put my thigh on the Rn5 pro, which has a rugged cover on it, my phone switched off showing the battery icon of the boot screen.
The battery was 18% earlier but now it was as if it was discharged. I connect my charger, the splash screen of mi shows up, then it goes into a kind of bootloop where the screen turns on and off alongwith the notification LED. Nothing appears on the screen.
I can't boot into recovery or fastboot. When I press either of the volume keys with the power button, same thing happens: screen turns on and turns off within a second. Repeating in continuous cycles.
Did I break my device?
UPDATE: I was able to access fastboot for only a second. I pressed down power and vol- and connected the charger. Fastboot screen appeared for a second and then again the device's screen went off, this time no bootloops. Same with recovery. I can't even get to the recovery screen, screen shuts off at the mi logo itself. No bootloops until I reconnect charger.
update 2: I am able to boot. But as soon as charger is removed, the screen goes off and the device switches off. It seems the battery is not connected in there.
The problem:
A few days ago, my Moto G5S started rebooting whenever I turned on the camera. This happened both with the main Camera app and in apps that use the camera, like Google Translate or WhatsApp.
But the phone doesn't reboot completely; it shows the first screen with Motorola 'M' logo with 'Powered by Android' of the reboot sequence, and then starts the reboot again. And again, and again.
The first few times this happened, this re-reboot cycle stopped after about 10 minutes; the phone completed the reboot sequence with no input from my side and started working normally again. But the camera issue still persists, and when it reboots, the re-reboot cycle keeps going indefinitely, until I force interrupt it.
If I long press the power button in the middle of the reboot sequence, and then wait for a few minutes to turn on the phone, it usually starts up normally. Sometimes it goes into the re-reboot cycle, and then I have to power off, wait and try again.
The only guaranteed way to get it to restart it is to connect it to a charger or my PC, and then long press the power button to turn it off. If I then turn it on while it is plugged in, it starts up normally.
General observations, and what I tried:
- This is independent of battery life. It happens even when the phone is fully charged.
- It happens even when no other apps are running in the background.
- The phone isn't heating up.
- I removed all new apps. No difference.
- I did a factory reset. Still the same issue persists.
Any idea what could be causing this? The phone is in perfect working condition otherwise, and I don't want to have to get another phone because of this one deal-breaker, if it's something that can be resolved.
Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
