Hi Experts, can you kindly help me out with the following problem :
I have an o2 sim in the orbit phone & the signal seems to be lost very frequently.. I am not sure why.. Having tried to switch on between the flight mode & phone mode, it does get the signal back but not very often though .
Also tried to swith off / on the phone but still the same result.
Any ideas why the signal seems to get lost ?
Thanks in advance for your help guys
Intereference XDA Orbit
I'm having a problem with my Orbit also which sounds similar to your problem. The device works fine then it goes through a cycle of 'no signal' then 'flight mode' and occasionally there is a signal. The problem renders the phone aspect of the device useless and seems to be caused by interference of some kind (Electrical devices such as transceivers and power tools to name a few). I have tried numerous hard resets to resolve the problem but that did not work. It only starts to work properly at unexplainable intervals.
Sometimes a soft reset will temporarily resolve the problem but not for long. O2 UK have not responded to my query so make of it as you will.
I originaly had WM5 which was had the problems i've described and when i upgraded to WM6 the problems went for about 6 weeks but they have returned with the newer OS.
Any ideas anyone???
Cheers, M

Hello,
I have a question regarding the LG KS20 from Vodafone Germany.
I was using it for a couple of days and then it was hanging. I removed the battery and restarted the phone. Now the WLAN / Wifi option completely disappeared from the Connection Manager. It just shows Bluetooth and Telephone now. Also, the WLAN manager from the connection settings is gone.
I had this situation before, sent the phone to repair and got back the same repaired. Now the issue happened again.
The strange thing is that neither a hardware reset now the factory reset code will cure the problem.
I would be grateful if someone can provide any hint.
Thanks
Ron
I have this rather annoying issue on the Desire. The phone is brand new, i bought it upon release. The problem is that whenever i enable GPS on the phone the Mobile Network connection gets killed. Attempting to reactivate it by switching mobile network on and off does nothing.
The only way to get the mobile Network back up again is to switch of GPS and reboot the phone.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? (i searched the forums, only found one user on these forums)... It could help me figure out if this issue is limited to my device...
Regardless, I already contacted HTC on this matter, i will post their response here as soon as i get it.
Thanks!
Odd. The only thing that springs to mind is that somehow the A-GPS is messing with your network. Try disabling A-GPS.
Is the phone bought from the network provider? If so, any network incompatibilities is their responsibility. Or even if it was store bought, you have reasonable expectations from HTC that it should work with local networks. If its gray import however, you're probably on your own.
Yep same issue with my HTC: When GPS enabled -> No more data transfer.
I'll also send a mail to HTC.
I reset the phone to factory settings today and to problem is now gone. My best guess is that the issue was caused by a third party app i installed (i'm not sure however, since all apps are sandboxed).
I installed two apps that made use of location services: GPS Status and Trapster. I'll download them again to see if they are the cause of this problem.
Please post back here if the factory reset works for you. This could help other people that experience this problem.
BTW, does anyone know of way to read error logs of the device? The OS must have software errors logged somewhere...
Thanks for the replies!
Received an answer from HTC (sent a mail about my Data Connection Problem few days ago):
"Thank you for contacting us in regards to connectivity on your Desire, I can help you with that. This issue has been reported to our developers for investigation and we hope to have a solution available soon. I trust that this resolves your query"
Hope also this "solution" will be available soon...
Guys,
I did a hard reset (return to factory settings ) on my Desire today and guess what:
Both my Data problems (no data after use of Wifi and or GPS) are gone !
Tested several times Wifi & GPS , also did a reboot and tested again, all seems working again, no more 3G data problem anymore.
So I guess one of the extra apps I installed caused the 3G Data Connection issue.
I'll reïnstall them one by one to see if I can catch the "guilty" one.
I also hope that problem doesn't return after a while without a cause.
I bought my LG F20K in May and I was very happy with it since.
Worked as a charm and didn’t have any problems with it. Till last Tuesday.
I came back from holiday and unfortunately Wi-Fi in my phone stopped working.
No any symptoms or signs of problem before, just it didn’t connect once with Bluetooth in my car, that’s all.
After return home, any attempt of switching on Wi-Fi made phone frozen and warm back, sometimes it restarted itself but it didn’t see any Wi-Fi network. When I tried switch on Wi-Fi with Bluetooth together phone got completely frozen but Bluetooth itself works fine.
First I decided to restore factory settings. So I did. It didn’t help. After research on internet I decided to do it again ( factory settings) but by LG Mobile support Tool on computer .Unfortunately it didn’t help too … I wrote to seller who I bought phone from and He agreed to take phone from me and repair it . But He is in Korea and before I send it I try last attempt on this forum.
And now the most funny thing.
Yesterday evening I left phone with charger on for all night and today morning with cable charger still on I checked if maybe something changed regarding Wi-Fi (you know… I got habit to check it every few hours with stupid hope it will repair itself …) and it did! Phone discovered Wi-Fi network and after about 10 minutes of attempts connected to it!!! . However – Connection was very unstable and I had to manually connect it many times tostay connected. My happiness didn’t last long . After about 4 hours phone lost any interest to connect with Wi-Fi or even to see it …Now I hope it is just software bug and I could repair it somehow.
Any ideas about it? Did somebody tackle with similar problem? Maybe if I rooted phone it would help?
Software version in my phone is F240K10r .
Hi everybody. I'm here to ask because the device of my GF have a strange problem: the WiFi turn on (as the bluetooth) on settings but they can't find anything.
I've tried with my device (an Honor 8) and it works normally. Data mobile works, but if she call the device loose data connection. I've already tried to reflash last update via ADB (and it successfully works) but the WiFi and the BT still refuse to work as they should be. What could be the problem? I'd prefer not factory reset nor send it to service center...
Thanks in advantage for any answer,
ScardracS
P.S. She have an ZE551ML zenfone 2
P.P.S. the camera facing one strange bug: it takes photos like it is dirt (borders of things in all the photos are shaded)
