I'm trying to change the stock media player in my MTC setup to an alternate third party app.
Basically, I want to be able to cycle through the radio, video, DVD, AVIN, Music player etc using the steering wheel control "MODE" and have my preferred MP3 player in that list, replacing the stock music player
After a lot of searching, I've found an Xposed mod "XposedMTC" in the MTCB thread.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.dr8.xposedmtc
However, It states it's only comparable with the Android 4. platform.
I've installed it anyway to give it a go.
In short.... It doesn't work.
Is there a way to replace the stock MTC Player with a preferred third party app? Or can I at least include the player in the cycle of programs on the SWC?
And, has anyone had any luck in pausing/killing the radio app when the third party player is started?
subscribing to this. I'm having the same challenge here

Hi, is their a equalizer in the music app on this phone? i cannot seem to find it
No there isn't unfortunately this is one of the things android has been lacking for a long time.
Sounds like osmething i can look into them myself. Any third party music players that have built in equalizers?
Nothing yet.
It's incredible to have this advanced OS, and this marketplace with 1000's of programs, but no one music player, which has equializer....
Is this an OS limitation, too hard to implement, or just simply noone had this idea yet??
By the way, I'm ready to donate to anyone who comes up with a working and good EQ for the Desire...
Astro Player Beta, BoomBoxoid both have EQs?
No experience with them, might be worth a look though?
i tired both this morning.. astro seems very basic.. no album art etc.. but works and the equaliser has an implact..
so does Boomboxiid but its almost to slick... caused my phone to lock up a few times and the player isnt that responsive so i uninstalled it.. stil though at least proves an equaliser is possible..

Any new music players with good equalisers?
A standalone EQ app (or widget) would be better than a player with eq built in.
Reason I say this is because, it could then be applied to any app you use audio via headphones or line out, rather than only working on the audio player.
say you use spotify, as well as a standalone mp3 player app. Would be good if you could use the EQ on both...
Is there any way to get apps like Spotify working in our stock music player app? So we can use the HTC equalizer etc. for that music aswell.

There are plenty of apps out there that give you audio eq everywhere as opposed to just within HTC's player. Seems to me that would be easier than trying to figure out how to pull Spotify through HTC's player.
Greetings Zooper Deities!
I am still new to andoid in general and Zooper in specific. Widget making is awesome, I am completely in love with the possibilities! I'm just wondering if one of those possibilities is to have dual Zooper music player widgets positioned at the same time. Specifically, I want to make a player for my audible books (sacrificing the 30-second "go back" feature and the sleep timer) and one for my music player (Google PlayMusic for now, until my Rocket Player is supported).
I don't want to go to all the trouble to design a pair of widgets that can't be used together... and I honestly don't even want a homepage for audio playing if it can't control both. The way I have it now is using the proprietary widgets from Rocket Player and Audible, but they are mismatched and ugly and make me sad. :crying:
So, am I still asking too much, or is this a doable goal?
Hi,
What player do you use for your Audio Books?

Just to clarify this: do you want to have separate widgets for different media players or do you want one to rule them all? The first is not possible to do with Zooper because you can't specify which music app should be controlled. The later should be possible, though I've never used Audible and thus I'm not sure if Media Utilities(MU) fully supports it.
P.S.: deities? love that
I use the audible app to download and control my audio books. They offer a widget that works pretty well, but is ugly as sin.
I want to be able to switch on-the-fly from listening to my audiobook to listening to music. I can do that with the proprietary widgets, seamlessly: pressing play on one pauses the other and starts up where it left off. It needn't be *that* complex, I'm capable of pressing pause and then play myself. So, short answer long, I do indeed want two players.

Hello everyone,
I am surprised why noone posted this before.
The option to "share" is missing in the music player since android 4.3 onwards.
It is a huge tussle to find the song in the phone first using a 3rd party file manager and then send it via Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth, especially when you have more than 1000 songs.
It was much easier to send it directly from the music player itself.
Is there any way to enable the share option again in the music player?
Regards.
No replies? Does noone miss this option??
Why does not any player function the function that he continues to play on the spot where he stopped?
PlayerPro or Poweramp or RocketPlayer dont have this function.
The standard player remembers the place where he has stopped playing, but unfortunately, with some apps is not softer and louder (e.g Blitzer.de,TomTom Go)
Someone an idea what player can do?
