Bootleggers ROM is an aftermarket firmware based on Ground Zero Open Source Project (GZOSP) and brings custom features with the most useful apps on your device, with the goal of "Making you feel like хо╢".
Using the stability and compatibility of GZOSP, this ROM is also packed with some custom wallpaper (Dawn by fxckingdeathwish), ringtones, and fonts, to bring to your device into a more fresh look, also with a selection of apps, header packs and wallpapers (on ShishuWalls app).
Also, we got our Google+ Community and our Telegram Group to talk about the ROM and share some love if you wish!
Some of the features that are included on this ROM are:
Code:
* ROM Logos
* QS Rows and Colums
* Scroll on small QS
* OmniStyle: Header Images
* Volume Keys: Wake up, skip tracks and switch according to rotation
* Dirty Unicorns Interface (DUI): Fling, Smartbar and Pulse

Also if you got some ideas, bug fixes, stability improvements or want to help to support features for your device, you can do it by sending a Pull request on Bootleggers Github (check downloads and sources part) or GZOSP Gerrit (also check the downloads and sources part), will be really appreciated. Together we can do a better ROM.
Here's some small answer to your questions or just answer to questions.
Code:
Q: Bootleggers? Why? What does that even mean?
A: Bootleggers (on a context of toy bootlegs and related stuff) are the people who take an original idea or product and make their own version, obviously on a low-quality way.
Q: What does the chinese/japanese thing means? I don't get it
A: According to google (and take the meaning of this with a hundred quotation marks) it means home or family. We want you to use your phone and feel yourself comfortable, and like it, like you'll be at home.
Q: Can i make Bootleggers stuff like wallpapers, logos and stuff?
A: Of course, feel free to do it, we will love it.
Q: Do you have any Telegram/G+ Group to chat and share stuff of the ROM?
A: Check the first paragraphs, you'll find it

Will this ROM be official?
Simply perfect, the customizations are in the right measure, there are no exaggerations in the customizations, it is very smooth, running wonderfully well, amazing this work.
Until then Cypher 6.0 was being the best ROM ever installed on my device, plus Bootleggers surpassed all expectations, the best ROM.
@jackcicci is to be congratulated!

I did a clean installation with and without gapps! Everything works perfectly, the ROM is beautiful, the performance is very good (loved font and bootanimation). Except for quicksettings that is slow all the time. Does not that happen to you?

Definitely not. This does not happen here, no slowness in the quick settings, everything going very fast and smooth.
Well, I always do a clean flash, for the first time in time, I used peak gapps, instead of nano, but I can not live without google now and I had to install the google app manually. Lol
The issue is that in no ROM Oreo that I have tested so far, in the case, the latest, has worked the Ok, Google! I do not understand why this voice command is no longer working.
*
It had only recently installed the new Pixel build to test if it was working on it, and it is not.

Happened here too... I used opengapps nano, maybe with gzgapps it wouldn't happen...
Other than that this ROM is really amazing. I'll watch it closely! And it's great to have another aosp-caf (gzosp) based ROM.

The Google Assistant works, pressing the home button, will call the normal wizard, the question is in the voice command itself, I do not know if there is a module dedicated to Ok Google .. is this comedy that has no recent ROM oreo .. .
Hello!
Rom really good, I only detected a problem when the screen is turned off, when I try to turn the screen back on and it does nothing.
I do not know if it is a problem in the rom or if I activated something inadvertently, someone went through this?
I think I'll reframe the rom to see if it returns to normal.
No more love this rom, very good indeed.
Congratulations warrior @jackcicci .

It was probably touched involuntarily. This has not happened to me at any time, she is quite responsive.
This. Rom. Is. Awesome. Period.
Flashed this along with magisk and some mods like v4a and sauron. Flashed also aroma gapps as I always do, picking google phone, contacts, keyboard and messages, and I had no trouble so far. Flashed MotoCamera too and it opens faster than any other rom.
Performance is just great, first three hours gone and not a single lag, even in qs. Took me a while to get used to the font style, but now I'm in love
Everything is smooth so far, and customisations from this are just in the right measure. Loved the UI styles like shishu night for instance, and also shishuwalls. Daaamn, I'm out of words now.
I'll try this for a few more days to fully test it, but I believe I won't change anymore. I may just have found my new favorite oreo rom. Thank you very, very much @jackcicci for bringing this to us.

Hello!
I did the flash again as I had said.
And stopped, I really do not understand what happened.
I'm still noticing when I put here in my work to charge the battery or to send photos to the pc via usb, I have to stay pressed the power button several times until the screen turns on, I really do not know what happens, I'm using the Nano Gapps updated, I do not know if there has to be.
But apart from that, it really is an excellent rom, I really enjoyed it, I'm going to stay with it for a long time.
hugs.

I believe that gapps do not influence, even by the fact that I also use nano gapps almost always.
I see if this does not have to do with the power button itself, it's an option, since what's happening to you is something that should probably affect all users.
It has not happened to me in any moment, everything is within normalcy.
Peace.

I realized this too, more for a first Bild, it's great, it's less bug than ToxicOs for example.
I do not see the time for new updates from both Roms, especially Toxic because this one is recent right.

Every phone is different... Memory brands and other stuff vary from phone to phone and that can make a whole difference in the experience.
Let's wait for the next builds, this is a very cool ROM, and it's the first build and with some tunning it could be one of the best ROMs titan ever had.

Yes, clear flash and pico gapps (06/11)!
I was going to get the logcat but the constant Fc's prevented me from using the phone. So I came back with my RR backup (and as today has new update ...)

Strange, I used this ROM for testing for 12hr (As I dont upload any ROM w/o testing keeping user experience in mind) and didnt face such issue, but my gapps arent too latest maybe 1month old, but thats not an issue, however, whatever it is, keeping in mind, keep reporting
I'll watch this ROM closely..
I always prefer cleaner, more stock AOSP-like ROMs... And with a few apps as possible. So far, this and Cypher are my favorite Oreo ROMs... These tend to have better memory and battery backups.
Hello guys!
I liked the rom, I noticed some gagging and slowness in the transitions of the screens.
More at least on my Titan, it fared better than RR 6.0.0 in terms of ram memory control, which in my, even optimized was not controlling legal and even stuck a few times.
Regarding ToxicOs, I installed the Kernel Evolution Turbo, and greatly improved those bugs and lags.
I'm really enjoying this Rom and I'm looking forward to the next updates.
Thanks again @thedeadfish59 for the brave warrior endeavor.

I have not tested yet again but I think the culprit is the Dolby atmos for Oreo! I installed EAX and had the same problem, and thanks to a post from @Wolfcity I realized he was to blame.

Hello!
I had to change the ROM, as I mentioned above, the evolution kernel improved the performance in relation to the fuidez, but began to drain the battery very quickly, unfortunately, I had to change the ROM and now I put the RR 6.1.0 and say if pass is fine, much improved, at least in my Titan the control of ram memory compared to the last version.
More I'm waiting for updates of the ToxicOs, because it is very promising and I really liked what I saw.
Hugs!!
Vlw warrior thedeadfish59 !!
Beautiful rom, but a lot lag. Thank you very much for your work
I've been using Toxyc yesterday and found the rom to be very nice and interesting, but the rom has a lot of lag, the launcher did not help, I changed the launcher, it improved a bit, I installed the evolution kernel to help, I take it into consideration that it is the first build, I hope the next one might be better for use, the worst of all is that the rom is very promising, the night mode is great, I was really missing that option, the choosing the source was also very accurate, I liked it a lot, gave a new face to rom. Honestly I have no idea what might be the cause of leaving this rom so packed. Perhaps the basis of it is not the best for titan, the launcher is certainly not cool, it has many customizations, but at a very high price.
This is really a great looking rom with tons of features, but like some people reported, I'm also facing a lot of lag. Really hoping for updates here, this will probably be a DD for me if performance can be matched to other roms i tested from the same dev. Keep up your great work man, i really appreciate it, thank you and all.
Just out of curiosity, mind sharing which is your titan device, @thedeadfish59 ?
the rom is very great and it have the essential features,
the ui is a bit lagy and i am getting so many force close and the camera have strange behavior.

From telegram to xda... BL ROM for sure will rock
Hello, about to test this out but it says phone needs to be on pie firmware to flash zip. So accordingly flashed ob22 firmware before flashing ROM. It still won't let me flash, says I'm not on pie firmware. Must be doing something silly. Thank you for the ROM.

That did it. Thanks!
One question though, couldn't find a way to swap back and recents, is there a way?
Good ROM, the built-in black theme is nice. ?
*Just wanted to throw this out there, that tiny charging anim in the lock screen is cute lol.

There is no way to swap those buttons as they are the way it should be by default but you can use third party apps like button mapper pro by flar2 like I use tho

Are you aware of any kernel issues?
Asking as I have clean flashed this rom but phone freezes up or just reboots randomly with kernel included in rom, yet trying bluspark or Krieg's kernel the phone is working as intended except no wifi.
Any ideas?
Thanks

So far the only one I'm aware of is MTP.. I haven't been able to enable MTP/USB file transfer without rebooting yet. It freezes my device and makes it unusable til I turn it back off. I've not encountered any other issues yet.

Yeah hope the next build will have finger print authentication vibration toggle, and pocket detection...only that is what i miss in this great rom
Thanks for providing the ROM, the look and feel are awesome so far.
Some other ROMs like Cr don't even have bootanim, this ROM gives you several, changing with each boot.
Never seen that before.
Smooth performance and many features, i guess this will be my daily driver for a while. (I guess im 家 now )
Some things i noticed tho:
- Search bar in Stock launcher not working correctly
- Changing System font wont work everywhere (Chrome still shows Stock font e.g. on google.com)
- Some (imo) Key features missing like real HW button config (or i just can't find them?)
Last point is not much of a problem and easily resolved with 3rd party app, but i think this should be on every custom ROM, atleast swap back/recent.
Can provide logs for the other things if needed, keep up the great work!
PS: Shouldn't be OOS Cam on feature list too?

Yes USB file transfer is the only major issue that stop me using this, will you please solve this! I found op5 is not officially supported in telegram group
I also noticed NFC isn't working at all, which is a bit of a bummer trying to use mobile payments, but other Pie ROMs have this issue too at the moment.
Would have been nice to see this on the bug list, too.
Hope it gets fixed soon.

I installed it, it went well, but didn't got the face unlock option. Tried several things and then got the thought, 'why would I trade it for a already working rom.'. A rom with all the same features. RR.
So do tell me, - not to disrespect your work - what would be the reason to install this one instead?

one good reason is that i don't maintain RR. i'm tired with all the work i do everyday so i can only update 1 rom at a time and since lineage is important because it's being used by all other roms , i will do lineage when i can.
So you chose this one over RR because it has a maintainer/builder haha

Maybe it has updated security patch and some kernel commits? And for the god sake buy OnePlus 6 or something if you want that "face unlock" feature working.. For the LG G4 you need perfect condition for front camera to recognize face..
So i have downloaded this rom, gapps 8.1 stock ARM64. In twrp wipe data, system, install rom, install gapps, "twrp wants to be system app" ok, installing app, then phone restarted, lg logo, rom logo for few mintes and Kernel crash, battery out/in, phone on and it started. I logged into my google account, click "restore apps" and now it's downloading apps very slowly, phone is laggish, i don't have any ringtones and my sd card does not work. What did i do wrong?

Face unlock works great. Yes, with the right amount of light. And it needs to be teached. Not one time only.

Nice work!
This is my favorite ROM, it has the most beautiful themes I've ever seen, I was very happy when I saw that it had been released for g4 plus, thank you !! I love you for it! lol
Obs:
1 - If anyone has problems with deep sleep, just install the micro gapps!
2 -If LAG appears in the home screen, disable the "Display Google app" option in the luncher settings!

It works on mine (G4+, xt1642, 2GB) ...
Both 32 bit and 64 bit ROMs are supported by those devices (G4+).
sorry guys, i didn't expect but the rom is booted ,my bro asked me to compile this rom for his device & I don't have Moto g4/g4 plus device
Don't blame me for this blind build ??

Thanks, but i've got the g4 not the g4+. So again humbly asking: Does the rom work on my device. And since you mentioned a 32 bit rom, where is this to be found?
Amazing work!
@Gokul1630 Amazing ROM Man! Seriously, aesthetically one of the most pleasing ROM that I ever tested on my phone! The Shishu Nights UI theme is kinda something that I always have been looking for! I can't really thank you enough for the ROM bro.. I am attaching some of the screenshots here with this post. Only one or two problems aside, the ROM is an absolute beauty and functions quite well. The issues are also kind of minor. One is that there's a little more battery drain than usual. I checked the battery drain and no app is munching more than usual but the system itself is using more RAM. (Could there be a memory leak? Just a wild guess.. I'm an amature so I wouldn't know...) Secondly, in the options in the menu that appears after pressing power button, 'Emergency' option appears 4 times. (you can check it out in one of the screenshots that I have posted.) Thirdly, after changing the theme, after the UI restarts, the phone takes good 3-4 seconds to start responding to the touch again. Is it possible to remove that lag?
Also, (and this is purely a suggestion for the sake of pushing the creativity further), is it possible to make the background blur, instead of giving it a faded effect (or instead of making it lighter). Again, it's there in the screenshots posted, so you will know what I'm talking about. The blur background effect will look far more better than the effect of lighter background (eg. in the settings or in the app tray etc.). If at all possible, could you give it a try? Thank you very much again!

Off topic: (not really related to Bootleggers ROM)
Omni Pie is 32 bit, and I think golden-guy (the maintainer) also only has the g4 (I might be wrong).
Check this thread.
A pretty complete list of ROMs you can find here.
I think you just should try yourself, and report whether it is working.
As long as you take a backup before, nothing really bad can happen, you always can go back.

- Reboot to system
OTA:
- Download and install the OTA
- After the OTA is installed, DON'T TAP ON "REBOOT". Instead, go to Magisk Manager and install a module called "TWRP A/B Retention Script" (you should be able to find it in the "Downloads section")
- Go to the Magisk Manager main menu, tap on "Install" and choose "Install to inactive slot (After OTA)"
After the installation process is completed, you can reboot. You have to repeat the process every time you get an OTA if you want to keep Magisk and TWRP on your newly updated system.

Thanks ^^ Glad to see you here again
Is this better than derpfest? I just installed derp. Also, I'm on .16 firmware, is that a problem?

As you can see it has less features then derp but it should be more stable and faster since i included the new nitrogen kernel and please use 10.0.13.0 as described on the thread

Fingerprint gesture means that you can use fingerprint scanner to swipe down notifications. That for now is a listed bug.
Fingerprint unlock works. BT audio also works as it should.

So, is there a problem with using .16? Derpfest is running great, and I think it runs nitrogen too, seems that "4.9" means a Nitrogen version, reading the nitrogen comments, and the Derpfest thread. Also, what GCam are you using?
TLDR, I think Derp uses Nitrogen, and runs great, leaps and bounds better than stock, so, I think it's probably competitive with this ROM, besides, you didn't answer why using .16 is a bad idea, I'd think it works on this ROM too, since it works with Derp. Also, what GCam are you using?
I cant see option to remap some buttons action...
flashed 1st rom in nitrogen kernel based after see in test its the best kernel . POSP is almost pure aosp . I need wait 30 secondes in annimation posp in 1st boot for boot ! less customisations but stability and performance is here !

Okay so I only tested 10.0.13.0 as a base and using any other base could result in bugs like losing your IMEI hence why I tell people to follow the steps that I described in the thread so they can enjoy the ROM without any hassle.
And about gcam look at my first message you can find the link to gcam there

I know right! It boots up pretty fast and the battery life is excellent thanks to the nitrogen kernel.

I did use 10.0.16.0 for any Android 10 per se. So far no problems (maybe loosing Double Tap To Wake, but I'd rather don't have it as I find it annoying in my pocket). Be sure to go fastboot clean flash stock first before using this ROM to avoid any problems, if you are from other ROMs.
But as always, follow the instructions given by developer.
Also, the recommended GCam is posted at the first post.

It's okay ^^
Been flashing POSP since Android Pie (July, when I was searching for nominating custom ROMs I want to flash when stock Android One crapped out), and glad I did choose this one, and also among custom ROMs way back then this one has easy to follow instructions on how to flash. Although not as feature-rich as other ROMs, but being stable is better, and now on Android 10. The developer support is also good too.
