Any way to change lte icon to lte plus? My carrier just got lte advanced and it only shows lte icon on my phone instead of lte+. On cell mapper it shows that I am connected to lte+. Anyway to change it to lte+?

Using the at&t i317, I'm seeing a strange icon in the notification/status bar. It's between the bluetooth and wifi icons and looks like a fancy letter "N" (dark stroke on white background.)
I don't think I've ever seen this notification icon before, and I'm pretty clueless as to what it is supposed to be indicating.
Any ideas?

Most likely the NFC indicator.
that is it. I can't believe that the US version wastes space up there with an icon for NFC. (The international version doesn't have this icon when NFC is enabled.)

it was the same kernel as the guy who got the AT&T version early (from the press thing.) I've already overwritten the kernel so I could pull recovery.img for CF.

FYI, I figured out how to disable this silly icon... it requires modifying the phone firmware, but it's a pretty trivial change. Posted the info in the themes subforum...

Are you talking about the status bar icons like wifi, 3g, and time or the notification that pop up from different apps that your using??

Its the notification/status when you pull down and you have the wifi, gps, bluetooth, screenrotation that you can toggle on/off.
If your referring to the icons in the drop down menu yes you can reorder them and choose which ones you want to show by simply going to quick settings if you are rooted.

Yes I'm rooted but I can't find this quick setting. Also how would I added say some icon that isn't there ie car/driving mode.
No one can help with this?
It has to be built into the rom for you to be able to customize it through a UI...otherwise you would have to go into the code itself and add it manually

I'm not running any rom, my phone is stock but just rooted. I also don't mind going into the code and doing it there if someone would point me in the right direction.

Nope. Just the WiFi, Bluetooth and such, along with my notifications.

If your rooted ! install xposed and theres a app called hidemissingsim ! which obviously hides the sim which is not in use !
Can VoLTE icon be removed from status bar with adb commands? Without switching off volte calls of course. That icon is really distracting for me and I don't wanna get used to it.
