Honor 7x Brightness Issue while playing PUBG - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have tried to search everywhere on the web and found no certain answer. I have been using my Honor 7x for the past 7 months. Recently i started playing PUBG mobile and noticed that my screen becomes dimmer every time i open the app. Its ruining my experience with the phone as i play this game often. I think it has to do with battery optimization as the game takes a toll on the bat life. However i plug it in and play and still have the same problem . Is there anyone one in this forum with an answer? Or is there a simple change in the settings that i am oblivious to.
Please help me out.

I'd suggest trying Velis auto brightness or Lux auto (or others), both available on the play store.

Dear ashwin,
Screen brightness getting reduced to avoid overheating while playing games.

Lag and frame drop with Fulmics or MM Stock on games

Hello everyone! I have a problem with Fulmics 5.0 or say precisely with MM. Many games (arcade often as geometry dash, floor Tiles or even Clash Royale sometimes freezes) lag much after about 20 seconds, with continuous drop frame. It is a fact well known by many users looking on the internet, someone has found a solution? I already tried to disable the gaming optimization. With Cyanogen it did not happen, but I would use a ROM similar to the stock. Thank you all!
In battery and power saving in settings, there is an option to save power by adjusting fps and resolution. Maybe it is due to that. Try turning it off.

Google Play Music - high CPU/battery usage when not even playing music?

I have had this issue basically since I got my Pixel XL. I rooted and put on EX kernel as soon as they were available, so I don't know if the issue existed prior to that.
Basically, whenever GPM is not even playing music, and the notification is dismissed, CPU 1 and sometimes 2 (both little cores), will remain at 1.6GHz, with CPU 1 staying near 100% usage. CPUs 3 and 4 will show relatively low usage, near 10%-20%, but will constantly hover near their maximum 2+GHz clock speeds.
For awhile I didn't know what was causing this. One day I started killing apps and checking System Monitor each time to see what affected it. Eventually I determined it was GPM. Without fail, every time this issue is present, if I just open up Recent Apps, or the application manager, and swipe away or force close GPM, my phone immediately goes back to normal operation.
This is an annoying way to have to fix this. I use GPM several times a day.
Having to kill the app, and remember to do it, is ridiculous. Has anyone else had this issue? I haven't seen it posted anywhere. I don't even have a clue of what could be going on or how to resolve it.
Hey buddy, I've been having the same issue for a couple months now as well. I'm using a Note 4, so it's not specific to your phone. I have not been able to find any fix though :/ Have you had any luck?
Unfortunately, it seems it's not a widespread issue, not too many people complaining on the interwebz.
Question to you guys. Does GPM show up in your battery stats? It does not show up in mine but I am not getting good battery life. I have the regular Pixel, am not a heavy user, and can't get through a full day without a charge mid day. Wondering if this issue is causing my bad battery life?
Thank you.
I use GPM on my way to and from work and don't have any issues with it.
I have the same problem on the oneplus 3T. Core 3 and 4 runs at maz 24/7 while playing google play music.

Overheating when gaming

I am having a problem with the you overheating(?) and crashing the Marvel Strike Force game. It will loop the last few frames then finally return to home screen after about 20 seconds or so. The issue doesn't happen while outside of combat, and it occurs after about 10 minutes of play. It can be repeated in a shorter amount of time if already hot. How is it possible to overheat the GPU? Shouldn't there be sensors and a governor? I can confirm that this happens on multiple Pixel Cs. I don't think that this is the game's fault, but rather bad governor, sensor, or lack of cooling. I also have no problem running this game on the Nvidia Shield (aside from it not being on the Play Store for Android TV or some control issues when using a mouse), which has the same chipset.
I was having this same issue and I was searching for a solution. The one that seems to work is to enable Developer Options, then in Developer Options Turn on the option to Disable HW Overlays. This seems to have resolved that issue, however the tablet still gets super hot.
You can see the issue here:

Question Automatically switch to 60hz bug

Hi,
I received my F3 and sometimes I notice that sometimes it automatically switches to 60hz while I am in 120hz.
For example, I unlock my phone, it is in 60hz on the home screen and I have to launch an application (for example Play Store) so that it switches back to 120hz.
I think it's a sofware issue but are other people having the same problem than me ?
I have seen an youtube review where minimizing Genshin Impact (a game) switches the phone to 60Hz.
You then have to go to the settings and briefly switch to 60Hz and back to 120Hz to get it working again.
Looks like a software bug to me - don't have my phone yet to check it out myself (Amazon DE launch disaster ...)
Unfortunately, it's not a bug but a "feature". Stupid xiaomi MIUI feature of dynamic refresh rate that force 60Hz on almost all videogames, youtube, netflix...
Same as POCO X3 and all MI 11 family. I hope that custom fw, like xiaomi.eu, will solve this!
Go to app management and delete battery and performance app data, not Cache but data.If you dont see baterry and performance go on three dots up right and select all apps. Now you have yt and all aps on 120hz.After some time you need to do this again. For now I am happy with this solution to have yt on 120hz.

Lagging while playing garena free fire

Hello guys.
I had some issues with my Galaxy A70. It's lagging like hell while playing garena free fire, my device can handle the game without any issue but I Don't know why this happens.
The problem is when I play the game first 2-3 minutes game works fine but after 2-3 minutes game starts lagging phone slows down and touch sensitivity feels really heavy even game controls seems heavy I can't get fine movement because of this issue. And when I close the game phone seems so much slower it takes 10 seconds to open an app.
And while playing a game when I open the game control menu and close it, game works fine for 1-2 minutes and again it starts lagging. I hope someone here can help me with this issue. Any advice would be much appreciated
My device is not rooted and I'm on android 11 latest version.
Sorry for bad English
It called "thermal throttling".
Most smartphone will thermal throttle when the processor got too hot. Try lower your game setting. This can reduce the heat on the processor, and thus reduce the lag.

I accept your solution. but I'm already playing on lower settings the game lagging also on lower settings. I've tried factory data reset and after that lag disappeared for 2 or 3 days and again after 3 days lag came back I only downloaded the game (downloaded game after factory reset)
I think it's not" thermal throttling " maybe some systems apps causing the issue? Cuz every system has high usage
I've noticed every system apps running at 100%high frequency everytime, I think that might be the issue how can I fix this issue?

Disable you game launcher because when your phone heats up ,it drop your screen frame rate(fps) and also decrease your volume that cause so much of lagging issue.
My suggestion was to use a custom rom to get best gaming experience
It could be anything but if it is related to hardware section u can do nothing. So first of all u need to tell us about the CPU. If it's low-end or entry level CPU u can't play anything on it.
If it's mid-range, I can help u.
I have a phone running on mediatek helio g85 powered by android 12
I face the same issue as you do because I did an update of my os. So don't update your os.
And you need to charge 100% everytime you play. You need to restart the phone or clear the cache of your game before you play. Don't use your mobile data because it will heat up your phone quickly and don't run apps in background like Avast, Facebook Messenger etc. Try to remove your back cover and hold the phone like near a fan and turn off your volume u will notice a big difference and take a break after 30 minutes to cool down and power off the phone and don't use your phone at night power it off.
Also lower your brightness I mean u can play at night time it will not heat up your phone
