I see references to wipe the Dalvik but my unit returns some error about not finding an EXT3 partition. I used Clockwork's partition tool to initialize 3 partitions and so am surprised that this 'Dalvik' volume wasn't created.
Can someone post the appropriate links please. I'm sure it's been answered.
TIA
The EXT partition that it's looking for is probably the A2SD partition, which is an addon and thus not necessary to have. If you haven't got A2SD then CWM will just skip it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, otherwise you have no problem.

Seems like you got the partition tables messed up.
I'm no pro so I don't know what could be done.

Hello everybody. I need Your help.
Last days i tried some ROMs. I have TWRP and before every new upload i FORMAT DATA(Wipe) and of course wipe cache, system
Today when I try to format I have error:
Unable to wipe '/data' -- unknown file system 'auto'
Unable to format to remove encryption
when i typed :
cat /etc/fstab
i got:
/dev/block/mmcblk0p56 /data ext4 rw 0 0
I read some posts of forum and ?solution? to repair is to type this:
make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p56
after this i had 0MB Internal Storage and many errors when try to format any data, cache, internal....
So i changed to f2fs and back to ext4 and Internal Storage is OK but still can't format data
Now I can upload ROM but when it starting i have monit "Encryption unsuccessful and interrupted"
PLEASE HELP i can't use my Lenovo :crying:
btw. my linux knowledge is not very well
After flashing the original SW 5.02 ( without rezeize option) the /date partitontion was corrupt.
I have repair the partition and in the forst momentall things looks like ok.
If I want to wipe (Select Dalvik and cache) TWRP 3.2.2.0 show mie the erroe message, that TWRP can not mount the Dalvik partition.
In this moment there is only a direktory under /data/dalvik.cache.
The direktiory is not empty.
Is the Dalvik - cache an own partition?
How looks like the partition table on th eDevice P905?
Or is the error message normal ???
Thaks a lot for your help
For everyone who has the same issue:
Please ensure that /system is mounted in TWRP.
After mount the partition the wipe of the Dalvik/Art cache works without any errors
