As there are 2 new roms ( Frankenrom & Bootleggers ) I am very confused which is better of these 2 roms. I hope someone who tried any of them to send his feedback.
Don't be lazy and try them yourself. Both of them are build from the same source so they should be similar in terms of stability and battery life.

I don't have time to test every single rom so I want to ask the people on here what they think is the most stable rom. I don't really care about features I just wanna know which one has the best battery life, less bugs etc.

Yes stock was ok but I am asking for the custom ROMs
I settled on SAOSP after many weeks of testing many different ROMs. Seems best to me, combined with EX kernel
ABC-Rom, no bugs, stock feeling:

based on my experience, DU, LOS, and AOSPA.

paranoidandroid ROM is awesome!
PureNexus or PixelROM
You could also look at Carbon Rom or Tesla (other GZR Roms are available ) or AospExtended or Slim
Then you have the Lineage based ones such as crDroid
I prefer the ones which are true to the Nexus look rather than Pixel Wannabes. But that's the beauty of the old Nexus phones that it very much whatever floats your boat.
@tactical bacon: that's, why 'best rom'-threads are unwanted here. Finally you get a complete list of all settled ROM.
Features and base are given in each OP. Battery-life depends on your usage.
PureNexus. Great team, solid ROM, nice features, quick updates, and very helpful thread.
Which Rom is best for our device... Aicp or jaguar or RR...
So far from the comments i understand aicp is the most stable and gives the highest battery standby but lacks frequent updates or support from the developer... Jaguar gives high performance but low standby.. Need to activate af wall... Webview manually and best support and updates from the developer....
Rr has some bugs but good for customization....
This is my personal feedback...
Please comment your thoughts too so that we can conclude the best rom for our device.....
Aex so far
But now that official viper is coming, let's see what will happen
Go for AICP or Jaguar. Im currently using AICP.
Sent from my Z2 Plus using XDA Labs
I think AICP is the best.
I have been using AICP since 2 months and its the rom, which I felt like I should not change, you can make a lot of customization in it.
Official Viper!
Has ota, insane customization, extremely stability, INSANE benchmark scores and amazing battery life at the same time!!!
Seriously, you need to try this ROM!!!
I had never heard of it either before I tried... Never switching again
Benchmarks at oneplus territory... OnePlus owners watch out!
P.S. I had stuttering issues with resurrection remix, hence switched ?
Bro tell me how u get that much score
Bro I am running on viper os 3.1coral 2017/10/16 .but my scores are very low 3d is only 35k and geekbench to very low.i am on stock viper kernel
Jaguar Wins, more stable in my opinion
Jaguar, AEX 4.6, AEX 5.0 best ROMs
Aex and Jaguar
RR is the best and stable
I'm using RR since 3months, Even though it is discontinued. It has good battery and performance.
Its the stable rom according to me.
I have tried Viper and AICP before.
Thanks.
Can any one tell which ResurrectionRemix nougat build is best till date? It has been discontinued now but I heard the last few updates were not good... can anyone pls tell the best build of it in terms of gaming, performance, battery life and stability ?
Looking to get this device but noticed not much development right now, is there a reason for this or am I just being impatient? ?
The developers are waiting for the oreo kernel source. Also, why would you want 3000 custom roms based on 3000 sources with 3000 different bugs when you can have 2 ROMs with no bugs?

I second this. I used to have Redmi 3s, the forum is filled with ROMs that hardly got an update after it was released. I'm not saying the development is bad, but development for the sake of it isn't gonna do anything good. We'll get other ROMs after they release kernel sources until then, Resurrection Remix looks really good if you can't deal with minimal nature of LOS. Both work, bugs are few and far.
Device pretty much just came out for Global users and bring up of roms takes time
Guys your reviews on Pixel Experience VS AOSP Extended
Pixel Experience - https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3830197
AOSP Extended - https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/aospextended-rom-v6-0-t3866161
Note: Just want to get out from MIUI and use pie rom with no root(magisk) and mods (use as stock)...
(I don't have to time to test each rom (so don't say test yourself), I have short listed these two, so please give suggestions between these two)
Aex 6.1
I used PE for over month, its good but sometime its buggy, battery and performance is not as good as on miui eu rom which I recently switched to, but from my testing pie ROMs Pixel experience is most stable
Resurrection remix is the best.
Using Pixel Experience for almost 2 days now. All I can say is its really stable even with magisk and some modules.
So, yes, we could say try this two and make your own opinion ? plus, as my friend above said Resurrection remix last rom looks promising. Maybe I should give a try...
Cheers
There is no "better" rom here. You are comparing apples and oranges. PE is simple, fast, without any customisation or fancy tricks. AOSP has a ****load of customisation but dont know about stability. I personally dont care about gimmicks like internet speed in statusbar etc., So i use PE and dont have anything negative to say. It works great.
