Hey XDA
I'm just finding it a waste of time always having to shuffle my hands, having to go to the home screen, go into immersive mode, or waste a key for the notifications shade shortcut. It would be nice to just have it at the bottom, below the navigation bar - if possible! I mean, it would work either way: portrait or landscape. Plus, I don't think it's that troublesome to have the time and notifications on the bottom. Wouldn't it be great to be able to reach the quick settings easily, having it placed at the bottom half of the screen?
Who knows? Maybe this can be the next trend in smartphones - as the screen sizes are getting bigger and the UI & UX are becoming more gesture based!

It was not a problem...
Sometimes a member gets a bit confused as to where to go for some support/guidance and I try to help out with it.
Even if I have never/no longer "have/has/had" the device (or other).

or program it to to one of the extra buttons from the gravity box navbar customisations ... but i must say a bottom bar would be way easier and neeter for onehanded control of you phone .. especially now with the big 19:9 screens ...

Sorry this question is unrelated to this thread but how did you get that calender icon showing the date in status bar? Is it thru an xposed module or inbuilt in the ROM you're using?

I find the mouse hover preview popups quite annoying. They cover up way too much data in adjacent lines. There should be a client option to turn it off. Could someone look into this, please?

When you are in a forum such as rom development and you hover over a thread title, a preview of the thread pops up.
I think that is what he means.

Yep, Denco7, that's what I was talking about. I spent a few hours with Google looking for a way to disable it but it turns out to be a server side thing in the HTML.

Wow, that is large! Glad I've never run into that large popup...
Funny never really noticed them as have to hover over rather than scroll over to see, think the best way to get around it is just to scroll in the blank between subject & rating if they are frequent.

Yeah, I know where the safe zones are but I like to use the cursor as a place holder while I read. There is a way in the site HTML that allows the client the option to turn those obnoxious pop-ups off and I would like the webmaster to look into it. But really, who in the heck needs them in the first place?
They look like nothing more than the ALT text on the HTML links displaying the first few characters of a post. The problem looks to be the use a line breaks that cause them to run over a few lines. If you use these in somewhere like the Q&A forum it's quote handy to get an idea of a post before you click on it.
I use it all the time to try and decide if I can help before I go clicking to go in and then going back out.

If you are talking about the Quick Setting Toggles for Wi-fi, Data, Screen Rotation, it can easily edited in many ways
1st way : Go to Settings > My Device > Display > Notification Panel
2nd way : Slide down the notification toolbar with two fingers, you will be able to see all options with edit option on top right

For some reason, I don't have the notification setting option under Device>Display. I also tried the two-finger pull down, and nothing. I have the I9082L, running I9082LUBAMH1. Any suggestions? Thx guys.

That's because your firmware is Android 4.1.2... What he said above is for 4.2.2...
Hello everyone. Just want to ask if this possible. As you see in the photo, there is S Finder and quick connect. I can't find it on my at&t note 4. Is it possible to enable this feature?

S finder seems to just be a quick search feature and if you touch quick connect it asks to update.
I know. I need the feature to be in the notification side by side like showing in the photo. S finder and quick connect are in the notification for quick access.

Gotcha, looks like the att touch wiz version doesn't get that feature from what I dug up, so you'd want to get a tmobile version of touch wiz and use that
Well, I don't do root stuff and don't know if I need to root to do that. Thanks anyway

Why don't you just do it like this:
S Finder and Quick Connect do not appear in notification panel to be able to place them in the pull down. Both features are disabled on the AT&T version I believe.

No max, I missed it too if you look at the pictures he posted he has quick connect and s search right next to one another as buttons right above notifications not the other menu
Yeah. I saw that. But that is why I asked why he couldn't just do it in the pull downs. Still would take just 1 swipe down to get what he wants.

You are right! I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out.
Just click the 4 square button to expand the entire notification panel.
Then you can edit the order with the edit button looks like a pen.
Only the top ten button a will display with out expanding the panel.
As the title says, is there a way to edit Quick Settings and how can I get long press to kill?
And, screen shots?

Nope, no control for that yet. But you can add qs, can't arrange them, lots of long press options. Without custom rims with fine control, this is best option. Could go viper at this point
Yea, I miss editing the Quick Settings since I don't use Calculator/Location/Do not Disturb.
Auto-rotate I set to on and control from whatever program I happen to use which has the option.
I hope they change it so you can add/remove quick settings soon.
A little off topic, but how do I fix this with Gravity Box? I'd prefer not having a straight line of QS.

I think it has to do with how you reorder your QS.

So basically, you can't put anything above WiFi and BT, or you'll get distorted QS.

Thread title, really.
I've missed immersive mode on my 7 Pro ever since I got my 9 Pro, there wasn't any time I would ever turn it off on my 7 Pro and it's why I'm keeping it on Android 10. But Android 11 lacks immersive mode so I can't use it on my 9 Pro. I fear burn in so I've had my status bar permanently hidden (set to 0px) and I just bring it down with a gesture when I need to view notifications.
But even though the status bar is 0px, all my apps still know the holepunch is there and push the content below the holepunch / make a black bar above the holepunch. Is there any setup that you guys know of that ignores the holepunch? Bonus points of its on a per-app basis. I know Samsung phones can use Good Lock to accomplish this, and it's crazy that a phone that doesn't even need root can accomplish this but I can't seem to find a solution for my phone with an unlocked bootloader lol.
But yeah, I really just want a way to force apps to ignore the holepunch. Anything?

That's what I'm using to force my status bar to 0px. Unfortunately the whole ignore holepunch thing doesn't seem to work on OOS11. Unless you found some way?

Yeah, but even after enabling, it only affects the status bar and no other app. Even in your screenshot, I can see your settings app pushed considerably below where your status bar is. Seems like a true immersive mode is just impossible on Android 11
Oh sorry I misunderstood you, the G-Visual mod makes the app go full screen (with status bar) in portrait mode.
