Speaker Distortion Zuk Z2 Plus - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

As Usual I play lot of games
Mostly PUBG and ROS
Recently my speakers Buzz when notification comes up ,and audio us not Clear as First .
Is this any software problem or Hardware
Any Suggestions
My Troubleshooting
Installed different ROMs
Shox dual speaker mod ( just tries)
DOLBY
BUT NO USE SAME SPEAKER BUZZ WHEN VOICE COMES UP

It is due to the audio mods which you flashed. Now clean flash(wipe cache, dalvik.data and system) any ROM which you like and your speaker sound will return to normal

Happened with me few days ago.
I take a toothpick, use the 'head' (and not the pointed part) to clean around the speakers VERY GENTLY, and voila! Back to original sound from distorted and squeaky sound.
P.S. Be very gentle. Any damage you do to your speakers, is, needless to say, your own responsibility.
P.P.S Will also be a smooth procedure if you decide to use a slightly moist cotton swab earbud (I'm talking about what humans use to clean their ears). If choosing that, remember to HOLD YOUR PHONE UPRIGHT IN YOUR HAND and CLEAN FROM BELOW, to avoid moisture seeping inside via speaker.
Cheers!

Improve Speaker

Hi,
Is there any way to improve the speaker quality, especially for playing video.
It sounds a bit sharp and squeaky.
Any software that can help or setting?
Thanks.

Plug into a headphone and enjoy
I've seen an SRS software somewhere on XDA, but as I seem to remember it was not 100% confirmed working on all devices and could cause problems.
If you don't want to plug in the headphones, you can improve sound greatly by putting something behind the phone, for example your hand or a pillow. You'll notice the squeaky high-pitch tones will be much less pronounced.
"cupping" your hand slightly as you hold the phone seems to give it a bit of a deeper sound

Absolutely no sound

I've tried a hard reset, taking the battery out and still I have no sound from my any of my speakers. Profiles and sounds are set as normal and still no sound. Sounds works for like 2 minutes after I reboot my phone but then it goes dead. Any solutions?
EDIT: Notifications work so it's not a hardware issue, just no sound through Windows Media or other apps and no sound through my earpiece via calls, can't even turn on speakerphone for calls.

Flash your stock rom and see if that helps

I flashed Ricky's 6.1 and that seems to have taken care of the issue so far, granted it's been three days. That was the weirdest freakin' problem i've had with my HTC Excalibur and i've had it for 4 years.
Good to know that you solved your problem
Okay Problem didn't go away. Sound is muffled like something is covering the speaker. Nothing is covering it on the outside including my fingers. Could something on the inside of the hardware possibly be covering the speaker or a disconnected speaker wire be causing the muffled sound?
Sorry to hear thought you tweaked There is a dismantling guide in the sticky will be worth checking may also be an easy repair if just speaker replacement.
Where would one get a speaker replacement for an Excalibur? I've never seen a part store for cellular devices.

Ebay can be an option,
Dismantling + cleaning should work. Remove the speaker off the back cover and get the dust out of the gap between cover and speaker. The housing has no fabric cover at the housing inside and there is plenty of space for dirt to accumulate between speaker and inner side of the cover. The speaker itself if guarded with a fabric on top.
You could also carefully use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dirt off through the grid before go for dismantling...

Call speaker issue

Hello,
I got a problem, it started few days again when I decided to use mobilevoip app on speaker, ever since I'm not able to hear the sound off a call out off the ear speaker.
I already tried flashing various roms as I wanted to rule out it was a bug off a rom, well so I flashed ARDHD rom because its pretty stable and I would not expect it with that, but issue still there and I only hear the sound when I put the speaker on.
Could it be ear speaker is broken? I have noticed whenever I call the DHD get's full off sweat, I think that won't matter, but I'm just abit scared when I turn it in for warranty they will say it has water damage even though it didn't get really wet once, just few water drops.
I'm sure now its broken.

Buzzing Speaker

Hi there, I just bought a htc one m8 from t-mobile, and everything is preatty nice, speakers are great with music with some frecuencies it tends to make a buzzing sound.
Basically when im listening to music it is okay most of the times, but when listening to tutorials or commenatires it makes a buzzing (like something loose inside the speaker) sound, but only in the upper speaker.
I tried this test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nklzAUrXSuM and the speaker really shows how bad the buzzing is starting at 500, its really remarkable at 630 and 800.
So i need your help. To anyone who has an m8 (normal, no the harmon kardon), please make the test and tell me if you hear the same buzzing or i have a defective phone, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.
btw, sorry for my bad english, and greatings from Mexico
Anyone? Please
My speaker started to buzz, then completely blew. Replaced it, worked great, and a month later the same thing happened.
I'm going to replace it again tonight, change roms, then I'll try this test

So?
Happened with me after my display needed to be replaced.
When playing music with deep bad, the speaker made something inside the phone vibrate pretty bad
Now the service people solved it by making it way quieter than the bottom speaker and it sucks
Try this - use small ~10mm/5mm/30mm neodymium magnet, to clean speakers. I do so once per month, because of my job and metal powder that stuck in my phone. HTC put strong magnets to the speakers, so they attract more metal dust than other phones.

OnePlus 3 (A3003) Low earpiece volume when in call

Hi, i just noticed that my earpiece volume is super low and even if i am alone an no one is around me, when i call someone i can't hear what they say.
I can hear super, super low.
I opened the phone to check if there's some dirt around the earpiece, but it's totally clear.
The mixer-parths.tasha file didn't helped me out.
Any ideas to fix this without changing the earpiece with new one?
I'm currently running Stock Oxygen OS 9.0.6 with theOneOs Addon v1. 5.
Cleaning speaker ? grill with needle & tooth brush will help
