Hi All
Yesterday I clean flashed latest AOSP Extended build 04/11.
What I noticed was my fingerprint scanner is not working anymore.
I can use Press to return to home as home button but tap to go back and fingerprint scanner is not working.
I flashed sensor.zip multiple times; everything is working expect tap to home and fingerprint scanner.
Device name: Lenovo Zuk Z2 (Z2 Plus)
Any potential solutions or is this hardware fault?
If it was hardware fault, I doubt that Press to home also would not have work.

No luck either. Still Tap/Fingerprint function not working. Might be hardware issue.

May be lock the bootloader and go to service center
fingerprint and tap not working
I have tried flashing zui stock rom and sensor zip but my fingerprint and tap not working suddenly in lenovo zuk z2 plus

Help ! My fingerprint scanner suddenly not working, it shows“ fingerprint hardware not available” , wipe cache and reflash rom already, but still doesn't work. Anyone has the same issue or face this issue before ? Pls help , I'm in oxygen os beta 11 with elemental x kernel

Flash a full stock ROM zip, with the included firmware. If that doesn't work then send it off to OnePlus.

Go to Settings and register a new fingerprint ?
Reflash full stock if still doesn't work It's a hardware problem and needs RMA'd

I go to the dialer app and type *#808# , and to the fingerprint test , passed , but still not working . I can press the sensor to go to home but fingerprint sensor not working ? Maybe a software issue ?

Have you flashed full stock and the issue is still there?
You need to flash 3.2.8 official version. It wilk bring back your fingerprint sensor.
Have you registered a new fingerprint in settings?

Same Issue with me
I am also facing the same issue. Done everything I guess what I have seen over the internet but, still it saying fingerprint hardware is not available. What to do bro please help me if your issue has been solved
Guys do a full clean install. Somehow something is messed up. Try the unbrick guide it will reset your phone fully from then you should upgrade to the latest version of OOS and then if everything is working consider a custom rom.

I'm using this ROM for a three days.
-Double tap to wake is working fine on me
- HDR crashes camera app
-Sometimes apps freezes
-Sometimes power button freezes
-Vibration intensity not adjustable
-Battery drainin problem is most important thing. Screen on time is about 3 hours
thanks for testing. i have no idea why there are all those bugs, RR is based on LineageOS which works very well and i have reused Electry's device tree without any modifications.
regarding the battery, during the night i left the phone display always on with pixel experience ROM installed and after 9 hours there were at least 30-40% of the battery left, there must be some bug in RR itself and it's no wonder with all the functions they try to include. let's just wait and maybe they will fix it.
Sim cards suddenly not working... Went to service centre.. They told need to change sim tray.. But tray is not available also... Any chances?

sound does not work in 8.1
tried to install
(PP-O-v6.1.0-20180628-kingdom.Zip and
lineage-15.1-20180123-UNOFFICIAL-kingdom.zip)
but when installed
lineage-15.0-20171111-UNOFFICIAL-kingdom.sip
sound works, what can be the problem?
there have been some changes for audio HAL in lineage, maybe there is something different in RR. can't fix it now, sorry

I am facing this wired issue where my fingerprint scanner is not working even though my phone is encrypted. I have tried multiple roms since this issue had started but it hasn't helped me yet. Hope someone helps?. thanks for reading
I have the same issue I just switched ROMs as usual but this time my fingerprint scanner didn't work I'm on latest resurrection remix 8.1 rom
I have the same issue too. I reinstalled the latest stock Lenovo Rom and the fingerprint sensor started to work again. Unfortunately It stopped working while I was recording my fingerprint for the device locking. With a reboot the sensor restarted to work but now always stop responding after a couple of minutes. Rebooting the phone is the only (temporary) solution. It's not a software problem but (in my case) an hardware problem!
I have to live without fingerprint sensor.
Now i have this issue which my fingerprint seems that it only work on stock rom only and don't work on any other custom rom and that is not norma i used to work on RR 8.1 for two month without any issue it happened when i went for miui pro port rom and was working fine in it and broken when i got back to RR 8.1 again and worked again when i flashed stock rom deodexed so it's only work perfect on stock rom only can any one help me with that ?

I'm using Oreo roms almost no problems. But when i try to use Pie roms (Arrow, liquid remix) i can't use fingerprint scanner . At Arrow pie when i try to set fingerprint all Button touch is gone (when i restart phone back touch is back) How can i fix this problem?

Just do it with some patience. I too faced this thing first time.
I just bought a Z2 play today. I like the Fingerprint Sensor to Navigate setting in the included Moto app. I want to at the very least Root my phone but was thinking of a Pie ROM like Havoc or Lineage. If I get a custom ROM can I install the Moto app and use the Fingerprint Sensor Navigation? I know Pie has the pill but that still takes up some of the screen and I like having the entire screen. Or if there is another app/way to enable it.
Almost customs rom can't run Moto apps . but there are many functions in custom rom can replace them.
Fingerprint Sensor on custom rom is bester than on original rom.

Thanks very much for the info. Is there any ROM you may recommend, oreo or pie based that have the one button nav?
EDIT: Well I have a Verizon model and just realized apparently those are bootloader locked. Should have done my homework.
