So, I'm looking for a ROM that basically gives me better battery life for daily use. I found myONEv and Shpongle which I like, however, I'm not sure which one is better to use? I'd like to have GPS, WiFi, camera and sound working flawlessly (I've heard that Shpongle limits camera to 3MP?), is that possible with both of the ROMs?
Thanks in advance!

Shpongle has 5MP camera if you use thrid-party one. For battery life, it's all on personal opinion, so try them out for yourself and see.

Well, the unmodified stock ROM gives me about a day with battery levels around 8-9 % each evening, can I reasonably expect any of the two ROMs to give me more battery life?

You might expect that from One Power Guard, regardless of rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947559
Hope it helps :fingers-crossed:

Hey, that looks great! Thanks for that
I think I'm going to try that app with the myONEv ROM and the KISS kernel which enables smartassv2, does that make sense?

Hey guys, thanks for the great tips and everything. I'm now running myONEv RC9.5 with the modified TK kernel and One Power Guard, and it's great! I get both more battery and better speed out of it. It's like having a new phone
I'm looking for a custom ROM which allows me to take photos with the same quality as the original G4 Camera app, without losing quality. Which one should I choose?

You're only really going to get that with one of the stock ROMs. I've been running Imperium since forever and I've never really had any problems with it.
I'm interested too because with Stock Base Roms (Imperium) I get bootloop after a few weeks. Now I'm on Cosmic OS and I'm looking for a good camera
SimpleGX rom is a great one too, no problem at all, I'm still using superSU
Also security patch is updated monthly
Motorola droid camera is good you'll have to go look for it.....

Simple ROM is almost 100% debloated I couldn't live with it I like LG ROMs for features that Simple ROM got debloated
Sent from my LG G4 using XDA Labs
Ok, so I should pick up the Simple GX ROM ? seems like it's the best solution to keep the camera quality

for best stock based.. that is genisys/imperium or simplegx. all are the same in camera... if you want alot of customazation and nougat then AOSP but lower quality on camera.. longer battery life and faster phone.

That's right that aosp nougat roms have a faster ui, but in my experience it slows down after some days of uptime (RR Tyler build).
I back at stock (imperium) for 2 months now, because of this issue.
Anyone else experienced this slow down after some time of use?
If not, which rom you are using?
Thx

true, but only with snap or google.
did you ever try my ported htc and snapdragon ? also they both fix the flashlight problem ,not hitting at the right moment.
personally i don't see any difference. The only difference is in that dam bug on the video , caused by the drivers, and we can't record a video on 1080p

Agree, snapdragon camera performs very well. I don't have any side by side comparison with stock, anyway

I always thought that imperium had the best battery Life. AOSP rom is really better? I'm talking about screen on time

sot is the same. quadra screen is crap.
you only get better standby time without the use of xposed and greenify.

stock has alot of services running. and aosp or CM have less. so yes you get more SOT. i get around 3-4 hours in stock base rom. using whats app, messenger and facebook app. and data connection.
What about ProShot on asop rom and it's quality. I have/had LP 5.1 with 100% quality jpg mod and 60fps HD 48Mpbs all the way up to 60Mbps but my andorid was being hacked so now i have to explore aosp roms with latest security patches but when i go on travel trip i want my LP with mods back. V10 camera port has no jpg 100% quality mod, but Proshot does but then again it's not LG stock framework as you guys said so it's quality it's probably still inferior. Thoughts guys ?
Dual boot sounds interesting. Any links for H811 for this?
Hey!!
I'm using lg stock lollipop rom (H815) as there's no update for my model. But my problem is that my battery lasts only 2-2.5hrs in full charge. Even if i don't use my phone, it drops by 20-25% per hour. So is there any way to make my battery life better?
Which one you prefer? Why?
Bump!
AICP offers customization, and Slim is more of a stock experience.
But battery life on slim is praiseworthy.

Lineage is available to build.
We're currently working on it and we're very close to a final release.

It's amazing honestly. We just fixed the fingerprint placement so it's now 99.9% bug free.

It's hard to say with the 120hz, still to fresh but with 60hz wqhd it was about as good as stock OneUI.
I have faith in Jimbo to whip up a bad ass kernel for us tho, we have only been making stuff work and getting 120hz stable.
