Hey ppl,
i flashed Soldier's ROM, it worked great. Then i flashed EX kernel (what a mistake ), SuperSU, and rebooted.
Now im stuck on FRP Lock. Im unable to enter recovery, and ODIN wont flash TWRP too. What are my options?
Thanks all, i dont want unusable brick for 850 euros.
EDIT: just got an answer in different thread (Stock FW an ODIN is the help). Sorry for this thread, i panicked.

Hi guys, been following this awesome community for a while now. I got a OnePlus One and I managed to unlock/root it thx to a thread on this forums (even if I'm not that "pro" with phones), but now I have my father's Xperia M (which has never been unlocked/rooted/flashed or anything) that is updated to Android 4.3 and I need help on how to proper install a custom ROM on it (I'm interested in the ArchiDroid one in particular). I don't like Sony's stock ROM, it's acting badly on some things (video recording for example) and in general it just sucks imho, so I want to upgrade to a custom Lollipop one (ArchiDroid). Can someone kindly explain me all the initial steps I have to take to, at least, install a custom recovery on the phone (possibly the TWRP since I used it for the OPO aswell)? Do i need to unlock the bootloader or something? Thx a lot!
Yes, u need to unlock your bootloader.U can do it through fastboot mode.Detailed information is available on Official Sony's Developer world page. Then flash custom recovery like cwm or twrp. Finally download the zip file and start flashing it.
Yep I managed to do all the stuff just yesterday, but thx anyway! Although it was not easy AT ALL, took me all day and was just a nightmare lol. The phone went immediately in bootloop after unlocking the bootloader, so I had to flash an appropriate firmware with flashtool, and I even had a problem at the very end of the process while trying to install the ROM itself (I choosed the official stock CM 12.1 nightly btw), because CWM was giving a stupid error. Thank god a guy here on the forums reported that CWM has problems with some SDs and posted a method to solve them all (by doing a total format of the SD with a program called SDFormatter).

yes, cwm recovery for now is not good for daily use. because they still have old commit. i suggest you to change to TWRP recovery, try look at here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61626285&postcount=1 we've got official support for this recovery:laugh:
I'm seriously stressed from thrawling through forums making posts and as of yet I've got no answers, hopefully someone here can help me or discuss my problems.
Yesterday I tried rooting the ZF2 Z00A , Originally a CN 2.20.40.63. It went into bootloop.
At this point ADB does not recognize the phone but fastboot does.
I tried installing a non rooted rom via SD Card but I got a signature verification error.
Now it looks like my only option is to flash a pre-rooted rom via Fastboot as that still recognizes the device. However I cannot find a CN 2.20.40.63 or newer pre rooted rom, I can only find CN 2.20.40.61 ....... am I right in believing that this would not work due to .61 being older than .63? Would it matter if I flashed a WW rom that was .63 or later? Even if it meant the phone was buggy but then allowed me to unroot and install a stock rom I wouldn't mind, I just would like my phone to work again (I only rooted because there was random webpages and apps opening and downloading the whole time).
Please somebody help. Also my brother who is in another country has a rooted CN 2.20.40.63 phone, is there anything he can do?
First of all thanks for passing by my thread , my case is a really strange one , i have an galaxy s6 edge t mobile with DOJC wich is the lastest build , i unlocked thru a direct cable software method provided by unlockbase , as always i rooted the phone , i used unikervel ver 8.0.0.2 and did the unlock , problem is that the fingerprint stopped working forever eversince , and no matter what i do it just displays the same error " an error ocurred with the fingerprint sensor " now i tried everything in my knowledge and google researching , tried the erasing cache method , flash stock bootloader and system plenty of time , downgraded a tons of times even installed a custom rom to see if there was any change , it was working before so im wondering what could happen , ive done this with multiple s6 edge with older builds and never has happened to me , today i downgraded againg do DOl1 and something more weird happened , the imei is there as always but the numbers after the slash are gone says /null now this hasnt affected anything but i dont know why it happened , the second werdiest thing its that the sensor version , in the secret menu for testing everything gives me a null version , does anybody know what can i do to get my fingerprint working againg ?? every lil comment would help thanx a lot
Sorry to hijack his thread. But I see you got root on the tmobile dojc firmware.
I got the edge today and have been going through post trying to figure out what needs to be done.
I know that two needs to be flashed through Odin. Not sure on the version tho.
And that a kernel needs to be flashed then the SU.zip
My question is what kernel. No one specifically says which one to use for the DOJC firmware and the BL option in Odin is where the kernel would go correct?
So
Odin -install tarp
Odin- kernel
And then flash the su zip in twrp
Am I missing anything ?
And hope somebody chimes in to help with your issue at hand ! Good luck
There no need my friend , just flash unikernel Ver 8.0002 thru odin adn the phone will be instantly root

Installing stock kernel should make your fingerprint scanner work. Once you change the kernel, poof no scanner.
Pp.
Thanx for the reply my friend i did that alredy still does not work i think it just broke the moment i rooted coincidentially

I recall reading somewhere that not tripping knox when rooting had something to do with scanner not working.
Did you "not" trip Knox?

Have had this happen with some of my customers. Flashing stock firmware solved the issue.
Can download stock OJC here
STOCK OJC DOWNLOAD
I recommend Odin 3.10.6
ODIN 3.10.6
Hey first time posting on xda devs and would like to know how to unlock bootloader, root the phone, and install custom ROM.
Now I have spent entire day backing up and searching the different people root but if someone can help me and point me in the right direction that would be great.
So I have a S3 from ATT Model: SGH-I747, Version: 4.1.2 JellyBean, BaseBand Version: I747UCDMG2, Kernel: 3.0.31 - 1300972. It is a stock ROM, I have never done anything to the phone at all before.
Now I will admit I followed a youtube video call "How to Root AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-I747!" by High on Android and I did everything in the video. I used odin v1.85, I did the PDA to the CWM.tar file, phone rebooted and I added the CWM superuser file and that is when I tried to get to CWM recovery mode and all I got was the phone's default recovery mode and not the CWM one.
From what I understand I believe I need to unlock bootloader first, but again this is a my first doing this and I hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Forum post state that you should follow guides that is exactly the same to the phone you would like to install custom ROMs.
Honestly I would like to ultimately be able to install a recovery mode that works with my phone that I am able to create snapshot image of my stock phone in case anything happens or I would like to go back to my stock image (which I highly doubt if everything goes fine) and install a custom ROM (I know there are different ROMs if someone can point me to where I can check out all the custom ROMs and not necessarily install those custom ROMs that would be awesome) and finally get rid of ATT loading screen when booting up the phone and install a custom boot loading screen, but of course I care more about getting the custom ROM install first.
If anyone can help that would be great.
The bootloader is not locked and using any app or program to unlock the bootloader will probably brick the phone.
The phones bootloader is already unlocked. Only verision s3 has a locked bootloader. Also you need to be in download mode for odin to work
So I was trying to root my phone. I unlocked the bootloader from HTCdev and managed to install TWRP. I selected the read and write option though I think that may have been a mistake reading some of the posts on this forum.
Anyways the next step was flashing superuser unfortunately I flashed the latest version however apparently only till 2.64 works. This caused a bootloop. As I had no ideas, I wiped my phone and installed CM13. Now my phone boots up and runs perfectly and I can install other ROMs too but one critical error is that my phone doesn't recognize my sim card. It says baseband is unknown and IMEI number field is blank if I check using the dialer. My phone is S-ON.
This seems to be a common error around this forum but I can't find a solution which helps me.
Most people suggest flashing the stock rom but since my phone is S-ON I can only flash the Canadian videotron version which I can't find anywhere. I found nandroid twrp backup here in the following link but I don't know what to do with it. I put it on my phone but obviously I can't flash it nor does TWRP automatically find it to restore it. Do I have to flash it from my computer somehow like ODIN is used for Samsung(?) phones ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
