I am need to reflash different modem firmware on my Moto Z2 Play XT1710-09 version to try different Ear Speaker Sound on my phone.
I have a crackling ear speaker sound when i am callnig someone (only when calling, not in conversation) and that is all Out Of The Box so i am thinking to change modem firmware to maybe solwe my problem...
Any suggestion or modem firmware link for download?

are you using stock rom or custom?
custom rom i think. I did not change anything to the phone. only upgraded to android 5.02 cm12 but had that problem before too

I have to ask, but have you try to fix the mic issue with build.prop editor in the rom toolbox?
Open the build.prop app and change the values of these lines:
persist.audio.handset.mic.type=digital --> replace digital with analog
persist.audio.dualmic.config=endfire -- replace endfire with false
After editing, reboot the device. I got these solutions from the post by worldextermination. This fix many phone mic problems include not able to talk with ear phone plug in.
yea, try what hawkwind212 said. most likely need to change the build.prop. I had to change bunch of things in the build.prop for my phone to work correctly on my special edition lollipop. after fresh install, there were few things that didn't work correctly.

Hello guys. My zuk z2 had a really wierd bug. the phone was stuck on headphone mode and no sound would come out of the device. today I finaly tried to flash a custom rom. Flashed Bootleggers rom, the flash went ok the phone works and now the phone has no sound at all, not at calls not at youtube etc.
People do hear me on calls but I cannot hear them.
Any suggestions?

8 oreo rom. after I upgrade 8 custom ROM (I couldnt remember which one cause I tried more than twenty roms :cyclops::cyclops::cyclops: ). I couldnt solve the problem.
Does anybody tell me What should I do.

Baseband and kernel doesn't matter.
Did you enable HD calling from the settings

No i have already same problem. İ have small bug to work phone download lesser audio from google apps open it press speakers and press settings click " do not mute speakers" and try calling.
Dont worry headset icon still on main screen

I have the same phone and have discovered the same problem after flashing any of the Android 11 custom ROM. No sound from speaker/ringer/media (except headphone jack). I found one suggested solution here, the last reply to the AOSPK ROM thread. The solution was to place 4 files into vendor/etc. I tried that and sure enough I got sound back with those ROMs but it broke the phone call function, couldn't make calls, dialers just ended call as soon as I tried to connect. Maybe this will work for someone else. Maybe someone else has a better solution. I'll try just replacing one file at a time and see if I can figure it out. If you find a solution let us know.

Oh and the easiest way to get back to stock is to use the Motorola Rescue assistant tool here. Just put your phone into bootloader mode and the Motorola tool will detect the phone, download the latest stock firmware and restore the phone.
Okay, I found the fix. From stock I installed AOSPExtended ROM from the Moto G6 Play forum. Initially everything seemed to work but no audio.
The fix reported in my last post, linked to the Telegram group was:
"For sound, add these 4 files to vendor/etc"
mixer_paths.xml
audio_platform_info.xml
audio_platform_info_jeter_p0.xml
mixer_paths_jeter_p0.xml
"
Copying all 4 files caused audio to work but cell calling broke.
Copy only the first 2 files without 'jeter_p0' in the name and audio was fixed and nothing else broke. Happy now. I assume this will fix the same problem with all the Android 11 roms I installed that caused this problem.

I'm a n00b so I hope you can please excuse my ignorance but how did you copy the files to that folder? And how did you get the files from the source? Also does it fix the rotation? as I have a rotation problem as well

Hi, friend.
I tried your solution, but it did not work on my phone, jeter xt-1922-9, i flashed pixel experience plus or lineage os 18.1, no one working on audio. no sound incoming call, no sound on youtube video.
I use CRDroid and the latest NikGapps on my Poco F3. When there is an Update for CRDroid I always look if there is a newer Version of NikGapps and Firmware to update them in one go.
Somehow all Firmware Version newer than V13.0.6.0.SKHEUXM produce some problems with my Phone.
When I use my Bluetooth Headphones with the Phone listen to some Music and connect my Headphones to my Laptop there are always Problems that culminate in the Phone being unresponsive. Have to restart the Phone the hard way. Before that happens the music on the Phones music player will play but no sound on the headphones or speakers.
