Anyone here who has confirmed that this works on the dual-sim version of S9/S9+?

Hi,
I have a SM-j600FN and I know that the model for dual sim would be SM-j600FN/DS.
My doubt if the SM-j600FN have the hardware for support the second sim or somebody have converted to dual-sim? I searched but I have find nothing. My next step is buy the second tray for dual sim or convert my current second tray for accept the sim (the default cannot be used)
Update: I have installed a second sim and obviously the device/rom don't recognize

Thanks & regards,
I bought this J6 today and was kind of surprised it has dual sim for such a low price.
It has a tray for a simcard only and a tray for memory card + 2nd simcard.
Too bad i only have an old no (longer active) sim card as my second to test, but when insert it recognises the card and the provider shows up and when i want to make a call i get 2 phone icons and i can decide which simcard i want to use.
Thanks for your answer.
Could you say me the exact model of your J6 please?
I suspicious that my phone have a rom modified by my provider (Vodafone) and lock the second tray. I did the same test than you and the phone didn't recognize/detect the sim card.
Regards.

I have updated the rom via Odin with PHE rom and in SW's provider I see PHE/PHE/ATL instead of ATL/ATL/ATL and the second sim tray is not detected too. I guess that my hardware is not compatible with dual seem
some other experience?
regards and thanks.
I know A70 is dual SIM. However my 705W variant only has a 1 SIM slot. The 2nd SIM slot tray is covered with a plastic. If I switch my SIM tray with a 2 SIM tray will my phone become dual sim?

yes you could try grarak modified lineage OS build which unlocked the 2st sim card slot , but you could have bands related problems.

But even if it's unlocked via software, can it work without hardware modifications? I mean, do single sim models have a second sim reader inside?
You are asking about hardware modification.
Maybe you can get one of those microsd card + simcard combo module from alibaba.
Couple with it modified firmware, and maybe it would be possible
Is is possible to convert samsung A70 single sim to dual Sim SM 705w model?
For the pixelA is good for android testing like test your own app and what does the sim card support att t-mobile version?
If you buy an unlocked version it will support any SIM card
It's my first post, hi everyone!
I was wondering whether it's a hardware thing and it's not possible to achieve dual sim support by modifying the software and replacing the N975U single sim+micro sd tray with the hybrid dual sim+micro sd one or it can be done.
I've got the unlocked T-Mobile N975U version, non-root, full stock.
I'll appreciate your support.

AFAIK the SM-N975U does not support dual sim. Has only a single SIM card slot. Changing just the SIM tray does not change the built in hardware on the mainboard.
anyone try to put dual sim tray (hybird one) and change the software to any oneUi from other notes 10 + versions which support dual sim ?
