Hi
I have a problem with wifi connection on my V500 (Wifi-only)
I am running on Lineage 14.1 latest version.
Once I do factory reset wifi works perfectly.... for couple of days.
Then I'm having more and more drops = wifi disconnects once screen is off or once I am launching Youtube movie..... then I need to manualy go to wifi settings and bring it back.
Sometimes once disconected... it brings back the connection automaticly..... no rule for that.
I see one phenomenon:
Wifi in home is more stable in home than I from tethering (I am using LG as GPS in my car,but due wifi issue it is strongly limited)
As I mentioned - after factory reset it works fine... but just for some time.
Any suggestions ?

Hi All,
I am still lumbering on with an old HTC Desire running CM 7.07282011-Nightly and have had no real issues up until a couple of days ago.
Whilst in France (not that that make a lot of difference) the Wi-Fi access stopped working and the phone stopped being able to see any Wi-Fi networks. Basically, it switches itself off after around 30 seconds and cannot pick up any networks. In addiiton, the WiFi MAC address shows as unavailable although teathering via a WiFi hotspot works fine. I was switch between teather and normal Wi-Fi when the problem occurred.
If I go into Settings --> Wireless and Networks -->WiFi setting, then switch on the Wi-Fi, I get the "Turning on" message but then a Sorry warning saying "Application Settings (in process com.andriod.settings is not responding" and I can either "force a close" or "wait". If I wait, the Wi-Fi will simply switches itself off after about 30 seconds.
I did read in another post that this might be to do with the Wi-Fi sleep status but I tried all 3 options (from the menu in the Wi-Fi setting page) but that didn't do anything.
The issue appears to be that that phone has lost the Wi-Fi adaptors MAC address (says unavailable). However, I can still use Wireless Tethering and connect to to the phones WiFi hotspot. I think something has go screwy with the Wi-Fi tethering and Wi-Fi access (as I was switching between both when on my travels), but I need some help in trying to fix it.
Any Help Welcome
Chris
I tried updating to cm-7-20130301-NIGHTLY-bravo (whuch was the last release version), but still no joy.
Any help welcome
Well, after trying pretty much everything, I had to run a factory reset on the phone. Finally, my Wi-Fi is working again. Of course I now have the ball aching job of setting the phone up and re-installing all my apps again. Google restore is pretty rubbish
Looks like there must have been a config setting that got screwed somewhere. I did take a backup of the ROM and if anyone knows where this might be resolved, I wouldn't mind restoring.
I have a peculiar WiFi issue in my office where I can connect to the router, however, I immediately receive a message: "internet unavailable". I am using latest stock T-Mobile ROM. 5.01, Build 20E. Other phones have no problem like my Nexus 5 or other people's iphones. Also, I am running a dualboot partition with a nightly on the same phone and it works fine in Cyagenomod.
I've tried this app: WiFi Doctor, and it finally worked until I went out of the office for a few minutes. When I came back I was at square one and what's worse, WiFi Doctor couldn't cure it any longer.
Anyone? Hello? I'm pretty sure there are a few smart people out there.
T-Mobile G3 stock ROM, Android 4.4.2, build D85110m, encountered the same problem in my office. Likewise, no issue with an old Samsung or iPhones.
From what I've manged to find on the internet, IPv6 or the MTU setting might be a contributing factor.
This isn't a fix per se, but voodoo steps of forgetting the network, switching off wifi, switching on wifi, re-connecting to network (staying on the Wi-Fi screen and waiting to see that it connects) works sometimes. Sometimes it fails and tries to re-obtain an ip address and it works after it re-tries several times. All this while I would be on the Wi-Fi screen watching it.
Occasionally, rebooting the phone helped for a while.
All the boxes under Advanced Wi-Fi are unchecked for me.
My G3 is not rooted, so I've not tested to see if disabling IPv6 or changing MTU fixes it. If you (or anybody else) do test it, I'd appreciate it if you could post your results.
On different (clean) stock roms, both mm and ll, data doesn't work when I leave my wifi's range. I have to toggle airplane mode to get it to work again. Tried "switch automatically" in wifi settings and "aggressive handover" in developer section. I found g2 and g3 owners with 6th same issue, but u don't find a proper solution, besides managing this using tasker. The issue appeared suddenly and persists on every rom I try. H815
Snap.
Have the same problem with mine.
It seems to eventually pick up data, but this could be anything from 5-30 minutes are leaving the WiFi connection.
Airplane mode on/off fixes it sometimes, but others I have restarted the phone with no change.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
LG G4 H815.
Android 6.0.
Software version V20g-EUR-XX.
Same issue here, which started suddenly with no obvious reason.
Anyone?
I am facing some really frustrating WiFi issues in Lineage OS 17.1 nightly March 16th build on my Moto G3 osprey. I have been facing WiFi disconnection and slow WiFi speed issues on in the February build so I tried upgrading to March 16th build but it is still not fixed.
WiFi connects fine after the boot but after disconnecting it, WiFi status is showed as 'Saved' and it takes to several attempts to connect, even when it does the speed is awfully bad and the it disconnects at random times.
How can I fix this ? This is really frustrating.
I think I may be experiencing something similar to this, but not sure whether the culprit is the "WiFi Privacy Police" app I use. (The objective of which is to keep WiFi disabled unless you are in a location near a trusted access point)
I don't have issues like this on my OnePlus One running CM13. (And also using WiFi Privacy Police) But on my LG G4 on Lineage 14.1, it doesn't seem to want to connect after boot unless I manually go into WiFi settings.
Sometimes I don't even need to select an AP there, just opening the WiFi settings page seems to get it to connect most times.
There were times I saw WiFi disconnected after an extended sleep period but I haven't seen that issue for a while now. I'm on a March 7 build.
In the last 6 months or so I have been experiencing frequent wifi issues, regardless of the custom ROM I'm using. Usually some time after a new installation I am unable to connect to the networks I normally use (my home network and the one at work which uses a proxy server). No matter what I do (clear cache, factory reset, change ROM...) the problem persists. In settings a number of random messages are given: secured, disabled, authentication problem, etc. Every now and then I can get a connection (never at work though) but it doesn't last long. Any help for troubleshooting this would be appreciated. I hope it isn't hardware failure since I'm still enjoyng this tablet after all these years!
Mine started having wifi issues off and on a couple of weeks ago. The wifi started to not turn back on after waking it up, at first just in manually turning it off and then back on seemed to work. Last Friday it just wouldn't stay on at all. I would go to the wifi in settings, it sometimes would get stuck saying turning on. I finally did a factory reset on it, it at first seemed to fix the problem, even spent a couple of hours trying to get everything set back up. Then the problem returned, it just keeps turning the wifi off, if i can even get it to turn on at all. I was going to try and use my phone as a hotspot through Bluetooth (not sure if i can or jot, never tried before), but even the Bluetooth won't stay on. So Sunday, after spending way to many hours fighting with it, i went out and got a new tablet.

Have you tried using the Samsung Kies app to flash the latest stock rom, Dont use Odin or other non Samsung approved flashing software.
I have had my T800 for over 4 years and had no real problem with the wifi connection, But i have heard that there can be compatibility problems with some wifi routers, Also try changing the channel number on your router, Auto channel was giving me poor connection on my PC, I ran the inSSIDer wifi app and it said to manually change my wifi channel to channel 1 the clearest channel as other wifi and bluetooth and wifi dongle even you smart gas/electric can cause interference., auto was picking channel 13 for some reason and it fixed my problem.

Thanks, but since it's the router at my workplace there's not much I can do on that side. Question is, are there any specific steps I can take to verify if it's software-related or if the wifi module is just gone?
Wifi and Bluetooth both use the 2.4ghz frequency, So they can interferer with each other and can cause constant disconnect`s, I have seen this many time, Use 5.0ghz on your T800 if you can, Or disable Bluetooth.
Does your wifi work OK on other brands of router?, Or is it just the one you are using at work.
John.
It's kind of tricky to answer: let's say the times this issue appeared it always stareted at work, but then also at home I couldn't keep a stable connection. Once the problem starts, I get no connection at work at all and very difficult connection at home (meaning it does connect intermittently).
UPDATE. After other attempts and a complete restore of stock firmware, I have both wifi and bluetooth not working, constantly "turning on...." but never activating.
