HDR+ won't support in 7x
Nope, basically because that feature is only available on snapdragon devices
True, HDR+ is their snapdragons own functionality even many of the phones with snapdragon dont support.
i have seen it only in google phones like nexus, pixel having it on them.. and its not much of a difference than the normal HDR anyway
It improves the quality of photos in custom ROM a lot, so it's a huge deal
Before picking up the Unlocked Galaxy S9 I was using the Unlocked Galaxy S8 and LOVING the Google Camera Mod which was working perfectly on that phone.
I downloaded and was using the Pixel2Mod from this location: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
Specifically the GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.1.apk
Being able to open up the "Google Camera" and take really nice HDR+ and Portrait photos with front and rear cameras, and no issues, made me love my S8 even more.
Now with the S9 I am finding that none of the variants I have tried from this website are working for our phone. Does anyone know of a working Google Camera mod for the Galaxy S9?
THANKS!

Been a few months
Anyone hear anything?
Hi guys,
I recently got the 7T after my 6T go stolen (and it is no longer available for purchase.)
I'm not too happy with the corners of the selfie camera in the 7T- corners makes everything WIDE - and even the image correction software is not as good as 6T's selfie software.
Is there a way to get the APK for the camera software used in the 6T? Would appreciate any help on this.
You can use Gcam by Urnyx05
I think don't go for GCam as it produces over-sharpened images front camera and ruins the selfie experience (even not produces natural selfies). So I'll suggest get the OnePlus 6T stock apps (search google for it) and clone it by any cloning app (app cloner is better option) and install it on you OnePlus 7T.
I recently bought an Oppo A91 and is amazing. Its camera is good but I wanted to take pics at night. I installed several Google Camera ports but the best one overall is the MCG one:
BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix
Download MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix by BSG.

However, all picture camera modes (Night Sight, Portrait, and Camera) look laggy. The previewer is not smooth at all as you can see in the video.

Furthermore, I tested several ports and each of them had the same issue. Oddly, it never happens when I'm using the other modes like video camera, panoramic, or 360. It strictly happens when I want to take a regular picture.
I have attempted multiple things. Some of them crashed the app, and I was forced to the cache to make it work again. Recently, I even read in a forum a similar case. The individual only disabled the Google Lens integration but in my case, it didn't work at all. In another case, I checked something about the "buffer fix":
. However, I didn't have anything similar and it's for an older version 6 something.
Currently, I'm running the Google Camera in ColorOS 7.2 (Android 10) without any modification.
As some final thoughts, generally speaking, the camera works well. You can take amazing pics but it looks laggy and feels odd. I just would like to know if it can be fixed. Thanks for your ideas.
I would be interested to know too....
Built wise not as good as the Mi A3, and has a P70 SOC, but has better screen
The Mediatek SOC is most likely the source of the lagg, since GCAM is built for Snapdragons
Apart from lagging preview, tap-to-focus doesn't work well too, compared to same models of Snapdragon SoC variants...
e.g. Realme GT Neo vs Realme GT

Good news.
I've experienced the same lagging problem too, but just tried Google Camera Go variant it seems the lagging is gone.
Thread 'Google Camera Go (unlocked)' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/google-camera-go-unlocked.4298355/
Preview is not lagging, focus works correctly, and the Dark Mode is as good as expected.
I'm on Realme GT Neo with Dimensity 1200 SoC.
S21 FE 5G Exynos 2100 GCAM recommendation that is stable for its processor ?

front camera not working.
There is none. Not even for the snapdragon version (which is the better edition imo and better supported by gcam) so the alternative edition (exynos) is out of luck as well.
For some reason this phone does not seem to be compatible with gcam and no one is working on it. Of course people are posting config files and claiming some versions work, but they don't.
It is not a working version if the main lens, or any lens is not usable, or if the viewfinder freezes after 2 seconds or if HDR doesn't work.
Of course it would work without HDR or image enhancing, but that would really ruin the point. The point of gcam Is that it's image optimization let's it make better photos than stock camera. If you disable image optimization because you cannot give it sensor hardware access then it is just a regular camera app, called gcam, nothing more.
