Budget and help - Huawei MediaPad M2

I send Huawei technical service a MediaPad M2-A01W tablet, because it has been locked while being rotated, they tell me that they have to change the motherboard. What does one thing has to do with the other? They charge me € 147. Do you have any solution? Thank you.

[Q] Has anyone swapped a Sony display for a Sharp one?

Hi everybody,
I hope something similar hasn't been posted already, if so please forgive me. I've been doing a lot of reading and researching and haven't found an solution to my problem yet.
I accidentally broke the LCD screen in my Internacional HOX.. took it apart to see what Display I need and it came with a Sony Display. Has anybody had one of these in the international version??? All I've read is people having it with the ATT one... Mine is the Tegra3
Right now I'm in Nepal, and can only get the display from UK in a couple of days with a friend that flies in the country. Found some really nice Displays selling in the UK and Germany, contacted sellers but only one was able to respond and say his product was made by Sharp.
my question is... Can I change my Sony display for the Sharp one??? Or will I have syncing problems, color reproduction fault, etc?
I can't really afford to buy one of those expensive displays and send them back, airmail here takes over a month and seller would not replace my display. So I can't really test.
Anyone done this already?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Is that phone still worth buying? Q3 2018

Hello there. Is it worth to buy this phone now? How long may it be supported by community devs? Are there any alternatives for ~250$ (in regards of battery and hardware)? I am looking for a smartphone with battery larger than 3000mAh or with AMOLED screen (or both of these options). It would be nice bonus if it was smaller than 15cm in height.

This phone is a beast still today because of active development by the developers. If you want a pbone with both amoled and battery above 3000 mah in 250$ range than the only option is Samsung J8. So my suggestion to you is go for the xiaomi redmi note 5 Pro or wait for the MiA2.
Actually, in my country Lenovo P2 is avaible for ~200$. Is it a good deal?

i won't say it is a good deal in this price ..but will be a great deal if you get it under $150 . you can get a better device in 250 nowadays with a little less of a battery strength but it will be fine for a days use .
best phone for its specs in its price range imo, also a lot of software developments going on for it also makes it a fine choice...yes its still worths it.
I would definitely buy it again. My only concern would be the state of the battery since these phones have being on shelves for quite a while now. I don't know if that would affect battery life and I would like to know it, though (If anyone does).
Great deal !

Thanks for the reply. I also made some research and it's true that two years is not a lot for a well stored Li-Ion battery.

I confirm. This phone factory new can be bought in Poland from 220$ up.
And I my opinion it is still great battery, hassle free phone.
From some time I am looking for something new for exchange but..... I am still happy to live without power socket for few days. No new phone comes even close to P2 battery endurance ( I do not count monsters like Ulefone Power with ridiculous MTK processors )

I wish I could help you but probably none of local internet shops makes it abroad.
First, we have a site ceneo.pl which seeks for best offers for given product. You can use that to look at polish shops. Important note: Allegro is an auction site and some offers there may be a scam.
But you may try to contact other site's service and ask if transaction from France is possible. Google translate should be enough to find contact info on these.

HUAWEI Nova 3e from China to Europe

Hi everybody!
I'm not a smartphone expert so bear me if I will write some nonsense...
I have in my hands a HUAWEI Nova 3e.
Months ago my father has been in China for work and had to purchase a second smartphone to use wit a Chinese SIM.
Once back home, since it's a nice device, he thought to give it away to my cousin.
He gave it to his father that knows a supposed "expert" that would be able to make it usable in Europe.
After a while I accidentally heard from him that person was "busy" and still hadn't fixed it. So I made some searches, found some guides from which looked an easy thing to do, and told him to give it to me.
Unfortunately only after had followed those guides I've discovered the decision of HUAWEI about the bootloader unlock codes...
So I'm stucked.
Can somebody tell me if there's a way to make this device usable in Europe?
Whatever type of suggestion is welcome.
Thank you
I guess it's a not so interesting topic...
