After a hint at the lteforum.at, where a user claimed that his S9 doesn't use LTE Advanced with 1800 & 2600 Mhz I tried it and could confirm that.
With 900Mhz + 1800 or 2600Mhz LTE Advanced is working.
S9 with my Red Bull Mobile SIM and the Tab 2 with a yesss SIM. Both are operating at A1's network.
Galaxy S9 with newest ATO FW and Galaxy Tab 2 with newest ATO FW.
Someone else with that problem who may be able to confirm it?
My phone worked with 1800mhz and 2600mhz LTE-A today in the UK. Doesn't really help you but just an anecdote.

Does anybody have any news in regards to if there is going to be an LTE 1800mhz version of the Note 2? I am very keen to get it, but want to use it on the Optus LTE network in Australia.
GSN2 LTE is to be released in Germany in mid November then in the rest of Europe:
http://www.sammobile.com/2012/09/11...iii-lte-note-10-1-and-ativ-s-over-in-germany/
Germany has 3 bands, 800/1800/2600.
If Sammy makes the EU GN2LTE with the same bands as the EU GS3LTE, which it probably will, it should work fine on Optus.
Who knows when we will see it selling in Australia.
"The new version of the Galaxy S III comes in two iterations: one with LTE over 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz, and a second one that switches the 800MHz band for the 900MHz band, according to Samsung in Sweden."

Here's hoping!
Guys,
I apologize in advanced if this such thread opened in the past. I would like to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100
Based on the website, this fone is unlocked and has "Item model number: GT-N7100" | ASIN: B009LM67GE
I am located in Canada with Koodo. Most Koodo devised work with Telus network. I have an iPhone locked to Telus network and it works and I get the data.
However, I am not sure unlocked GT-N7100 will work with Telus network or Koodo.
This is the Telus Galaxy Note 2 specs:
Network LTE: 700MHz (Band 17) / 2100MHz (Band 7)
HSPA: 2100MHz (Band I) / 1900MHz (Band II) / 850MHz (Band V) / 900MHz (Band VIII)
GSM: 850MHz / 900MHz / 1800MHz / 1900MHz
Do you think If I get the Unlock Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 from Amazon.ca and it will work with Telus/Koodo network?
You feedback is appreciated.
Thank you!
As far as I know all N7100 are non-LTE phones which means they are universally HSPA devices and should work worldwide on any network (just not on LTE)

Thanks v-b-n. So basically what you are saying is it is a still 4G device over HSPA not LTE and when I put my sim card in, I will still get 4G and not 3g?
Thanks!!!
Lte=4g.....hspa/hspda=3.5g....umts=3g
You won't get 4g

Pakure, thank you for your message. I think I can live without 4G-0.5 and 3.5G. NEtwork here in Canada is not good anyways.
I purchased the device last night and I am waiting for the shipment. Thank you all for your time.
You will get 3.5g or hspda/hspa. ..enjoy

Hello i bought my N7105 on China. It works perfectly but my problem is that in Argentina i have only EDGE signal for Internet Not 3g.
I wish to know because i read a lot.. Because i think my celphone was europe version or korean version, never will know.
I think that the problem is that my UMTS is working on different bands ( 850 and 2100) and in Argentina we use ( 850-1900) so i Would like to know if it`s possible to install a N7100 south american modem to fix it, or what..
N7100 Firmware and Modems.
Just Modems N7100
Search for N7105 Modems (Haven`t Found Yet)
Or i can`t use 3G in Argentina.
Thanks anow Hope u can Help Me
I can Add in What bandwidth work our companies here.
Band V (W-CDMA 850)
Band II (W-CDMA 1900)
I think my company is working on 1900. Personal Argentina.
When i go to WCDMA only find Movistar. That they say works on the Band V. So i think my phone is only working on Band 850 and maybe 2100 also because i bought on Hong Kong.
Anyone can check with IMEI or something?
Is there any way to change the Band to Band II?
Thanks a lot
I need an answer please !! :good:
According to gsm arena, the n7105 is not compatible with 3G the 1900mhz band.
3G Network - HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 - N7105
4G NetworkLTE - 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600 - N7105
I know that it's not an easy suggestion but have you considered changing providers?
Cheers

N7105 can only support 850/2100mhz band,so if there is 1900mhz 3g band in your area, it will be a problem
Hi,
I searched whole Galaxy Note 2 Forums for my question but did not get direct answer. My question is
Can I use AT&T Galaxy Note 2 (SGH-i317) in India and get 3g data as is without making any modification to Bands?
or
Should I enable AWS (TMobile 3g/4g) bands in this phone to use 3G in India.
If anybody is using this phone in India, let me know how / which carrier in India are you using.

Depends what bands your carrier uses. The phone (without the AWS hack) supports 850/900/1900/2100 MHz for 3G.

I thought it supports only triband for 3g (900MHz being unavailable). Can you please confirm that SGH-i317 supports 900MHz for 3G.

I can't confirm that it actually works, other than this screenshot from my i317 (I did the AWS hack, which is why 1700 MHz comes up). GSM carriers in the US use 850/1900 (AT&T) and 1700/1900/2100 (T-Mobile) for 3G. So I can't see if 900 MHz works:
http://db.tt/WTFsWwwa
However, I don't think the phone will show bands that it doesn't support, so it should work. I have a hard time believing the phone is only Tri-Band, when my Galaxy S3 i9300 is quad-band (850/900/1900/2100 MHz) UMTS.
I know that the Verizon version works with 900 MHz because on Samsung's websites, it's quad-band UMTS. Yes, the Verizon version can also do GSM. It comes unlocked as well. You just have to use root and an APN application to add your carrier's APN, or just install a custom ROM that enables the APN menu.
I actually had the exact opposite question. I am planning on buying the Galaxy Note II (N7100) in India and I wanted to know if the 3G facility would work for any GSM provider in the United States?? I wanted to know if all the N7100 models (including the ones in India) are Quad band 3G. If so I guess the AT&T 3G should work as quad band would be compatible with the 850/1900 frequencies used by AT&T. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. I hope to be in the US from September for studies and thus wanted to be sure Id be able to use this phone for 3G there.

Thanks for confirming. I was worried that I will miss out on 3g because of this 900MHz.

I travel India frequently and have US (AT&T) and India (Vodaphone) SIM, I just swap the sim and everything works great. I am on cleanrom 4.8. No issues and great Internet speed in Mumbai. Even I was able to do RDC without any issues.
Thanks.
