if you are asking correct way to flash then :
download latest twrp from here : dl.twrp.me/z2_plus/ and keep it in the same directory where adb is located
then in fastboot use command :
fastboot flash recovery twrp_file_name.img
Otherwise elaborate no one can answer by guessing your problem ....

Reboot to bootloader and choose "Fastboot".
Code:
fastboot flash <partion> <path-to-file.img>
for example

Help! Soft bricked device!

So I accidentally formatted system and my sd card in touch recovery (don't ask) and now my phone is in bootloop because it has no Rom. For some reason I can't mount sd card through recovery and I can't find a mac tool to help me flash back to stock. Can someone please help!
Use fastboot and flash the Google factory recovery image system.img
Thanks for your reply. Can you please tell me how to do this
I am downloading the images now and I know how to get into fastboot. I just need to know that mac commands
I am unsure of mac commands but on windows through ADB you unzip the system image until you see the recover.img, system.img, and such. Place the system.img file into you adb platform tools file and then open command prompt and type fastboot flash system system.img and let it install then you reboot
Damn I have no clue man
Check this out it may help you a bit

I'm assuming you have unlocked your bootloader and have root. If not please don't read any further and read the guides first. If you have unlocked your bootloader and have root then proceed:
Place the TWRP.img file to your fastboot folder. Connect your phone to pc via USB
Open command prompt and "cd" to your fastboot folder
fastboot reboot-bootloader
when your phone reboots to bootloader then,
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img -> use the actual name of the recovery file here.
Well its rooted but i cant seem to install TWRP... maybe some 1 on 1 help? anybody?
Anybody??

Hello Brother, Just follow this guide, it worked perfectly on my Hydrogen, Jesus Bless You, Thank You.
http://en.miui.com/thread-293031-1-1.html
First make sure that fastboot and adb drivers are installed successfully
I uses minimal adb and fastboot
Go to the folder of minimal and open command there and then type fastboot devices then you will see some alphaneumerical no. This is your device then proceed ahead
Put all the things in same folder of adb and rename recovery as rc.img then flash this as rc.img after flashing successful then type fastboot boot rc.img then it will boot into twrp

The boot.img was missing, sorry.
Download Boot.img
For a correct PixelExperience flash, you must flash vendor_boot.img and boot.img, the recommended firmware is Miui 13.0.5 SKOEUXM

Sorry, I have posted a defective zip, in order to boot, download an official Fastboot ROM and unzip it, then go to the generated folder and open the console inside the folder and execute the following command: "./flash_all.sh"
