I have xtrons 7 inch universal te706pl that I just bought. I managed to crack the corner of my screen while I was in a fit of rage trying to get it to fit in my dash. I emailed xtrons twice to see if they would sell me a screen but so far I get no reply. Anyone know where I could buy a screen?
It's a MTCE_GS unit if that helps.
I bought too many HUs and it looks like I have that screen. If this interests you pm me and I'll send pics to confirm.

I'm not sure is mine is Xtron. I'm having an issue with my TFT control board so the LCD isn't working. Everything else is working fine. I can put a CD in and it plays, I can also select a track, just can't see what I'm touching as the screen is black. I can't upload any images as it just keeps telling me "bad request".

It's has a 8" screen and the controller board model number is DZSJ D90 TFT

OK, Thanks for trying to help.
I'm going to try the simple things like cleaning the TFT ribbon cable end incase there is any finger prints. I'm holding my breath it's that though.

Hi all,
I just recently got hold of a XDA Orbit which the previous owner had dropped off a roof (don't ask! ) The screen broke when it hit the floor and it has cracked and just appears white when you turn it on.
I know the system is still running because I can hear the sound effects when turning the volume up/down so I think it's still working ok....
So what I'd like to do is buy a replacement screen off eBay and fit myself. Does anyone know how hard it is to do this? I've got the Artemis-Inside PDF and although it's a great help in seeing how to get inside the thing, it doesn't really show how to replace the screen....
I'm assuming I can just disconnect the ribbon cable and pull the old screen out and then just put the new screen back in??
I hope it's that easy anyway! If anyone knows then it'd be a great help to me,

Hmm that's not quite the same problem as I have.... that poster was just trying to replace the "touch" part of the screen whereas I'm going to try and replace the whole LCD + "touch"

This is for 'touch' part only wich is very difficult, because the lcd and touch are the same part... i've try the same (because of price) with no result because the connector was not the same and i can't detach the lcd part of the 'touch' part, so i manage change the all without difficult.

Yep, got it all swapped out with the new screen but the PDF I'd downloaded didn't help in the slightlest!
Maybe the UK model has been slightly re-designed? I don't know but I did take some shots which I'll put into a PDF at some point. Who knows, it might help someone else out.

I dropped my phone today and when I lifted it up my screen was blue/black. I pulled the battery out and turned it on. Most of the screen is black and can't see anything. There are strips of blue pixels here and there.
What exactly is broken and what do i need to replace. I obviously need to replace the Glass frame/screen, LCD ... do I need to replace the digitizer as well?
If anyone knows about this please help me out.

As long as I know any T999 i535 I747 will be compatible except I9300. I dont know why but some T999 users havd problems.
Is a good deal indeed. But If you can find some with frame includes will ve a very sweet deal.

I know sound expensive but you only will have to change the mainboard and components very easy without any need of stick or glue to install it on the frame.

Yes, the only concern I have is the glue used to join the frame with the screen, if isn't professional installed this will be falling soon or getting dust an sand under the screen. Thats why I recommend the entire frame and screen set...

Unfortunately I don't have that money right now so I will settle with the cheaper method. I will try and see how it goes.

Display does not turn on , but everything else works . I can hear the tablet unlocking when I swipe up but the devices LCD won't turn on , could I have possibly put to much pressure on it that it could break?

Yes, the old LCD is damaged. The next best thing is to just buy another lcd and replace your current one.

I actually stood on my nexus 7 with my full weight and now there are purple spots on the display after a week 2 of them dissapeared the tablet is 2 weeks old, it still works fine but what should I do? Send it to Asus?

Basically it is the same issue. It seems that the lcd panel was damaged a bit. Perhaps the relief of pressure may be why your screen is still viewable. As far as the device, I highly doubt you will be able to send your tablet to get fixed if you didn't purchase insurance on that product. That being said, you may want to check out a repair shop if you don't feel comfortable taking your device apart and replacing the LCD.

The IPS started separating from the glass front. Either a new display with glass or a very risky re gluing procedure.

If the glue they use is of poor quality, then yes, but only after a long time of use.

Don't think so, but it doesn't hurt if you try and look around. LG doesn't manufacture the phone, so probably ORIGINAL pars are gone. But you can find a dead device to use for parts if you need, way better than searching for individual parts.

What's wrong with it - The screen is black, it is not frozen or bricked, because i hear notification sounds, ringing and the phone vibrates, just can't do anything. I tried everything there is try but to no avail.

I have replaced several Xiaomi and Huawei screens (not Mate 20x). You have to replace SCREEN. Replacing only digitizer needs special equipment and not every phone service is qualified enough.

What did you end up doing? I'm in the same exact boat. Ordered a replacement screen from Amazon and it was totally off. Sat way higher then the bezel so now my Mate is in pieces
I have ordered and received and installed screen. It is original and all perfect

How video did you see to help you install it? How much was the screen?

has anyone ever tried with the TFT versions they sell on alixpress?
they are cheap but some seller even says (actually just one on the Italian ebay) that the proximity sensor won't work anymore once the screen is replaced, because of the TFT version being a bit thicker.
