P2 isn't the device meant for IMEI experiments, didn't you look over the forum before as a warning?
Don't mess with any partition except system boot & recovery... unless it is thoroughly proved here in the forum to play.
You should be able to restore it by using a QCN backup. People have done it successfully in the past by downgrading to MM, restoring a working file and then updating to Nougat. I don't know if they got everything (2G, 3G and 4G) fully working though.
IMEI should never be touched unless you do not have a signal.
How to change IMEI to not-original

Please can anyone describe right way to change an IMEI on this phone?
I tried to downgrading to 6 version android and in two cases I changed IMEI correctly (by restoring backup from .qcn by QPST), but I can't remember all steps thich I did for this
Also, if I flash 7 android official lenovo room, I get "IMEI change error, it will restore after reboot" and after reboot I got my old original IMEI (I not need this because I tried to make wifi tenthering)
I tried to erase modemist 1,2 and fsg before I flashing .qcn backup by fastboot (fastboot erase fsg, etc....) and by adb ( dd if=/dev/zero) but my phone get bootloop after reboot.... I cant flash qcn backup before reboot
I suppose, I need flash custom room after changing IMEI on 6th android, but I forget how to do it again... I downgrading by flash fastboot variuos versions (032, 048, 066) but IMEI actually not loses, even I don't see him then write *#06# in a dialer
Does anyone changed IMEI in this phone?

If that's the peoplearmy thread you might be able to find it on another website.
solved this issue by flashing the stock odin files then re rooted back off and going again..
Dont know a bunch about it, but it was really hard to find a good solution to the issue, So i dug around looking and trying everything that was findable with no luck, until just flashed stock everything through ODIN and the lost IMEI was back in the phone. From what i understand there is a recovery partition of some sorts hidden and locked that stores all the phone identity info. I noticed that the bluetooth and wifi mac were also listed unknown along with the IMEI.
hope this helps and this is my first post ever to xda and i use this forum alot for just about any device issues i come across

Hello Friends,
I am in big problem at the moment. I flashed new roms (geek will know it)couple of times. But since last week my phone does not recognise my sim card or get any network and its IMEI also got currupted and I don't have backup of my EFS folder. I found out that the it may restore it to normal by installing factory stock rom. But for that I need somebody who have got Samsung Galaxy Note II from shoppingsquare.com.au in last October to March. So that i can download appropriate country's stock rom as it is grey import phone.
I need below firmware info, which you can get in Settings and About device
Baseband Version
Build Number
Thanks in advanced.

Few days earlier i had a problem with my efs file and i couldnt get rid of it after flashing a new stock rom through odin .I find and efs file and replaced it. After that my device factory mode was turned on.I managed to solve it by some commands on the terminal.
Now all is working fine except i cant make a call or message.Every time i am displayed with "Not registered on network" . I couuld find tweaked modem for 4.4.2 so i tried 4.3 tweaked modem .But still no luck .
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It is possible if you have backup your efs before if not you need to re write the imei with a box it is easy and it cost arround 10 dollars

Then you need to flash the patched modem every time you install a new rom
I tried to root stock Oreo T-Mobile, but got stuck with the T-Mobile splash screen.
Eventually flashed stock Nougat and then OCX27, but now Wi-Fi and IMEI are lost, phone can't read SIM card.
Baseband shows as unknown in settings.
Is there any way to fix it?

Thanks. Tried all of those and they didn't work. Ended up getting a replacement
What root method did you use? I rooted mine with magisk with no issue. Also stock t-mobile oreo.
Friends, my device after upgrading to Oreo, Android 8.0.0, the device can not find more network, it recognizes the chip, but the network does not go up, when I try to connect give the following error "disable the airplane mode to make a call "
Note: I already checked the IMEI, it is 100%, IMEI appears normally.
What do I do ?

When You boot into fastboot what does your baseband say? If it says not found, then you've found your culprit.
Let me know what you find out.

emmmm。. You can try to install other rom to see, including I can give you her bbs forum, Google Chrome has a translation, maybe you can understand. She generally uses qq to communicate with people (in addition, the s version is called foreign garbage in China, because baseband and mobile wireless devices are not the best)
