Hi. I own a Lenovo Z2 Plus with stock OS 6.0.1. Is there some way to install graphics API runtimes onto this device without having to flash a new ROM? Because I know for sure that most of all custom ROMs gimp your phone's true potential. I happen to like the stock OS as well. The API libraries that I need are Vulkan. The stock OS only comes with Open CL 2.0. I would upgrade to 7.0 but I'm skeptical because it might bring issues. Is there any way to do this? I'd like to keep the phone as factory like as possible. TIA.
Update to Stock N and if it doesn't fit your needs then revert back to MM
also offical Oreo might come out this month.

AICP gets weekly updates (automatically).
Some other ROMs (from that table) get manual updates as soon as the monthly security patch is available.
Im going to install LineageOS and see how that goes, it seems that one is the best one that has the most support?
At least i found my way easy around their website, going to give that a shot
I've heard good things about LineageOS and I would like to try it
1) I'm still in Lollipop and I didn't want to update to Marshmallow because of the bootloader troubles there was some ages ago. Is it better if I go from Lollipop?
2) Any missing features or things not working in the Zenfone 2 version of LineageOS? Is there any implemented functionality for the Zenfone Flip Cover?
3) Is LineageOS less prone to freezes and crashes than normal Lollipop? Cuz the main reason I want to switch to LineageOS is because my phone is now very prone to crashes and freezes (And, no, factory resetting doesn't even help). How's the RAM usage? (I have the 2GB RAM model)
4) Just out of curiosity, but I heard about dual boot patching. When it is recommended?
5) Anything more you guys could recommend me to?
As of now I'm in stock Zenfone Lollipop with root, unlocked bootloader and an Xposed I'm not using right now (it might be version 78)

Hello
1) It's okay if you flash from Lollipop. Most tutorials for LineageOS will tell you if you need to upgrade your bootloader to Marshmallow bootloader.
2) I use Groovy Android (the latest version), which is based on Resurrection Remix based on LineageOS (android 7.1), and everything works well! But no functionality for the ZenFone Flip Cover unfortunately
3) I had freezes on the stock ROM, but now with a custom ROM my phone is stable and fast
4) I didn't try this
I've been anticipating the Android 9 update for my XA2 for a while. I see most people are getting it and for some reason I just don't have it. I'm still on 8.0 and the System Update section says I'm at the latest version. Am I missing something?

Although its very irritating situation for any Android user that he/she have device which have been got latest Android version by manufacturer but they doesn't get yet, but in XA2 case i feel its much batter that this device user stay on oreo after getting pie experience.. believe me its really useless update, don't have even new launcher 9 and user interface, and the most disappointing thing is worst camera performance that previous, camera was perform well when XA2 was on oreo, but now i am feeling my device like a piece of **** and nothing
Try download a android 9.0 based ROM via latest XperiFirm and flash via newflasher (this app is for all platforms like Linux, MacOSX, Windows) but fist find guide how to flash this ROM because you will first must delete some .ta files before flashing.
Lucky you, I miss the oreo camera so much. Better skip this OTA.
We got some new tablets and apparently Android 9.0 breaks functionality with a feature we need in our MDM. Anyway to flash back to 8.1?
I used to flash to and from different roms with my Galaxy S3 but that was a young mans game and I'm out of the loop now.
I am wanting to install a Vanilla AOSP Android 12 ROM (nothing added, nothing removed. untouched) on my Moto Edge 2020. I am pretty sure this device is supported by Treble.
The latest version that Motorola supports on this phone is Android 11 (I believe it shipped with Android 10.)
Is there any way to get this working, With full display support and OpenGAPPS?
If this is something I could do, what is the best way to get this working without losing data or bricking the phone? (it is my daily driver smartphone.)
