Guys i wanted to know amoung miui 5 ,6,7,......which has the best ram management??just got my 1s
CM
um....no...not really... miui has as good as ram management as cm. AND somtimes a bit better ram management for me miui 8 is perfect for you. I love it. But on 4.4 (miui too) and 5.1 roms when locked, you cannot recieve messenger notifications well.... led isn't blinking or absolutely no notification....only if you open messenger. on miui you lose lot more percent of battery life when sleep compared to. other roms. except this, miui 8 is best . with phantom v7 and yankactive or zzmoove governor.
Try MIUI multi rom with neon kernel. Most of chinese stuffs has been removed and it also provide features that are not available in Global versions like Global search, etc.
CM and all other roms are custom roms so are they highly customized, MIUI Multi is too customized so give it a try. Install Neon kernel and tweak settings as per your use using kernel auditor. This will solve battert drain issue.
Enjoy MIUI!

No there's isn't any music bug any more. If you still face it then go through few comments on thread on neon kernel (you can get rid of it using kernel auditor). Its latest build of neon kernal and you can get miui 8 latest developer Multi rom here http://en.miui.com/thread-81385-1-1.html. Only issue is you will need to manually download complete package every week. If you don't need update weekly then you will get ota after each month.
I found that the neon kernel is the one which supports miui as well gets update frequently. Its been a long time that god's kernel or Xcelerate kernel were update so there base is still older than latest miui base.
IF you wanna enjoy miui then yes miui+neon is too good.

You you can, you don't need to do clean wipe. If you wan to update to new version then you don't need to wipe system. Just select update package and install. Don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache after installing Rom or after updating. Enjoy!

As i checked now, last night it drained near to 8% or less, actually it totally depends on your settings. I set min cpu to 300mhz and max to 1305mhz and cpu governor to yankdemand. Also at night i enable miui's battery saver which doesn't allows apps to force start.
Yes you will to play and tweak a little bit as per your usage

Wow nice! For OOS?
As usual there's a large focus on battery life. F2FS is upstreamed to the latest version and I spent a couple days single picking useful commits from Qualcomm's repository with fixes and power consumption improvements.
You should see an improvement in battery life.

Thank you for supporting Oneplus 5! Using now and it's very smooth.
Just want to report also that the stock screen gestures (double tap to wake, draw O for camera etc) are not working yet

Nope....first stock kernel...after custom one....
Great work Franco!
After a reboot, the phone boots to default color calibration and it takes like 10-20 seconds to switch to DCI-P3 or SRGB.
PS:Gestures are broken too.
The kernel is systemless?

Helix Kernel for the OnePlus 5!
For OOS-N
Code:
Disclaimer: Despite everything being tested before release, anything can go wrong, and the one held responsible shall be you and you only. Don't come crying that your phone ate your cat after flashing my kernel, because, needless to say, I will just be blown away laughing at you.
Objective:
To provide a more battery-oriented kernel based on the rock solid EAS-based RenderZenith kernel, by my fellow developers and mentors @RenderBroken and @joshuous and, as well as anyone else on XDA probably, to learn and encourage others to learn more about EAS - the latest endeavour from Google, Linaro, ARM and many others to improve both the efficiency and performance of Android powered devices.
Features:
-> Based on the wonderful RenderZenith kernel
-> Up-to-date with latest EAS changes, as long as they are stable enough (currently at EAS r1.4)
-> Built with Linaro 6.3.1
-> Added support for a new experimental governor pwrutilx, in an attempt to improve battery life
-> Added support for Wake Gestures, Sound Control, KCAL Control and LED Control
-> Merged as much as possible from Google's latest Pixel devices
Installation:
1- Download latest build from the download link below
2- Reboot into recovery mode
3- Backup existing /system and /boot partitions
4- If stock OOS kernel is not installed, reflash OOS with no wipes
5- Flash latest zip file
6- Reboot

Awesome! I'll be trying this out on Stock OOS (no mods).
Excelent Kernel, no problem for here, fluid, smooth and fast. Waiting for battery duration for tomorrow. [emoji1303][emoji41][emoji1303]

Awesome.. Currently using renderzenith. Gonna try this now
Nice to see your work finally here mate
so tempted to try...
Currently on latest stock OOS w/o any type of root, encrypted, runs smoothly, but have that "Unable to turn on Wifi" bug.
Tried flashing the no-verity zip which usually fixed up that bug for me, got stuck at the boot logo, then I tried an older no-verity zip and got stuck at the boot animation.
Flashed OOS (wiped dalvik & cache, and system) booted up fine and already connected to wifi, rebooted back to recovery(blu_spark v49), flashed the kernel, and booted up and found wifi off already.
Is there anything I can try to fix this?

It will be more or less the same . Because when the script is applied it will change the governor and the values so result should be the same .

Right not using render Zenith.

That's a very weird issue. I have tested the kernel on stock official OOS 4.5.14 and I don't have any issues with the WiFi... I use Magisk 14.0 stable, encrypted as well. The only thing that is different is the recovery but I don't see why would flashing the kernel using a different recovery would break WiFi. Nevertheless I will have a closer look asap. Thanks for your report!

AKT is compatible with RenderZenith and Helix kernel, as long as you use schedutil as the CPU governor [for both clusters]. However, if you chose to install Helix Kernel and use pwrutilx as the CPU governor, AKT won't be compatible.
P.S. pwrutilx is already battery oriented
Would anybody like to share the results ?

Buffcore oreo kernelSamsung Galaxy S4 i9505 (jfltexx)Release 02 - 11th June 2018
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
* And other random stuff no-one reads.
*/
Intro
I had never intended releasing this as a stand alone, but had always been aware that it would work.
With BB and Side both being busy and AOSP and OptLos stalling for a bit, the kernel from RR-oreo should I think help a bit to alleviate users battery issues.
What is it?
Buffcore 2.04 - this is a fork of BB's AOSP 8.1 kernel with added fastcharge and battery saving features.
It is the kernel supplied with RR-o release 2, so isn't needed for RR users.
Code:
renamed to buffcore;
sdfat enabled;
fastcharge implemented for faster charging (up to 1900 ac / 1000 usb);
bcmhd wakelocks for rx and tx halved;
libmemcopy and libstring sped up;
io readahead to 1024k;
lower min cpu governor frequency (270);
power efficient work queues;
voltage tweaking user interface;
faster vmstat;
autosmp hotplugging replacement;
mmc crc disabled;
allow for lower cpu voltage;
reduce swapiness;
optimise divide / multiply by power of 2;
added tcp optimisation options,;
set westwood default;
force doze screen off helper;
optimise cbfillrect function;
reduce wifi wakelock times;
nohz: reduce overhead under high-freq idling patterns.
What rom is it for?
BB's AOSP oreo
Side's OptLos 15.1
Installation
Dirty (use with current rom flash)
Extract the boot.img file from the zip (It is not a flashable zip!).
Reboot rom into twrp.
Perform a nandroid backup to be safe, incase you need to go back.
Go into Install, then select Install Image for Buffcore kernel.
Reinstall your prefered root solution (Magisk, etc).
Do not wipe caches.
Reboot.
Clean (flash as part of clean install)
Extract the boot.img file from the zip (It is not a flashable zip!).
Reboot rom into twrp.
Perform a nandroid backup to be safe, incase you need to go back.
Perform clean recomended in your rom thread.
Install rom.
Go into Install, then select Install Image for Buffcore kernel.
Reinstall your prefered root solution (Magisk, etc)
Install Gapps.
Do not wipe caches.
Reboot.
Usage
Some features will need to be forced on (IF desired) and set to apply on boot with an app like Kernel Aduitor, EXKM etc. (Fastcharge, Min cpu frquency used, Power efficient work queues, Voltage tweaking, AutoSMP hotplugging).
This kernel should / will not be compatible with stweaks.
There will essentially be no support with this, if it works then it works, or doesn't.
If it helps you then it helps you, if it doesn't tough, don't moan about it.
It has had a little testing with the roms it is intended, boots fine and seems to provide some benefit.
This may not get updated either - see it as a stop gap for the moment.
Thanks
Thanks due to Drrossum, Kesaras, CR4IGY_BOY for testing for me.
BB for original kernel and Side and TsvietOK for picks.

Backwards compatibility with kernels? Not guaranteed that I know of.
When Oreo kernels use 64 bit binder, it locks out use with ROMs that don't have 64 bit binder defined.
You'd be better trying a sidecore kernel for nougat as an intermediate, if it works then try this. A kernel flash that doesn't work should be easy to recover from if have you stock one on hand ready to reflash. Remember that any mod / root that patches the kernel will need reflash.
SideCore kernel is a no go. A stock RR Nougat kernel also. Do you think some repacking with the boot.img of the RR Marshmallow would help?

if they don't work, then this is a definite no-go.
I think RR marshmallow used the stock CM13.1 kernel, nothing was changed. Your viable choice would be anything cm13 compatible.
Syzrgy & Alucard spring to mind from back in the day.

I was thinking the same. Let me try.
Once repacked it boots but it's unstable. After running AnTuTu a few times it restarted every time. Not a good sign.
I flashed it several times on I9505 running the LOS15.1 and everytime I reboot after flash it shows the boot up screen with the phone model and then goes to Download mode. The fix for this non booting condition is to reflash the ROM.

You can use RZ kernel or Kernel Adiutor to reduce the chipset frequent. This will make device cooler, but slower performance.
Snap 800 is "hot by default", so that we can't make it much cooler, and battery drain quite quickly because of the chipset temperature although screen off (at least 45°C if we don't use and may up to 90°C with heavy tasks).

You can install the app "Disable Service", find it on Apkpure, developed by WangQi, root needed.
After that, open that app and choose System > Google Play Service, select all services (except GetToken, GmsBoundBrokerService, GoogleAccountAuthenticatorService, GoogleAccountDataService) then press arrow button, wait it to run and services disabled will change to red color.
4 except services I tell above are enough for using Google Play Store, Youtube, Drive, ...
But you will unable to log in to any other Google accounts, if you want to add more Google accounts, you must enable all services, add accounts and disable services again.
Some GApps need more than 4 services to works (like Google Play Games,...), so that you must enable some services for it.
I feel my device cooler and less battery drain after doing that, you can try it yourself.

I use device tree from @raschad, I don't know that he had modified the speaker mod.
But you can replace /system/vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml from other roms to remove the mod.
Or you can use the original mixer_paths here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oWKSVZt8tBWECKoj1vwt9u9otnp4nsiw/view?usp=drivesdk

Great. I'm keeping this as my daily driver. I'd like to note that the camera mod (CyberianCamera_Oreo_PIE_1080.60fps) from Raschad's AospExtended thread works perfectly fine but you need to enable microphone, storage, and camera permissions manually before trying to open the camera app. Otherwise, the device might hang or soft reboot a couple of times, mine stuck in a soft reboot loop i had to reflash the rom.
Another thing is that whenever i turn on battery saver mode and the night mode activates, the current app refreshes or relaunches every time i plug or unplug the charger. All Pie roms that i tried behave the same. A small detail but a bit annoying for me and has been keeping me away from the battery saver made.

I have try CyberianCamera on this rom
Camera app need to be granted permissions before using due to Android security from Android 6.0 and above, it prevent some apps to use dangerous permissions.
But I only granted permissions once, the next time I open camera app, I don't have to grant permissions again. Although if I don't grant any permissions, my device neither hang nor reboot. I am not sure why it happens to you.
About the battery saver mode, with my device, some apps are relaunched, some app not. I don't have any other phones to try this, so that I don't know it is because of the Android source code or because of our old device.
5 Star Rom
Amazing Work to you Dev.
I am using this ROM as my daily drive with rz kernel and cyberian Cam and it works perfect,no issues at all.
Thanks a lot once again Sir legendstarpro Rashdd and Devs for your hard work in keeping up Xperia Z1 alive up to 2019 :good: :good: :good:
Thank you so much mate for this ROM. My Z1 is keeping alive even its 2019.
Hello friends
Great rom with tunes of customization
I am using this ROM as my daily drive with RZ kernel v4.0 and cyberian Cam and it works perfect.
Thank you very much
My phone came alive.
The only problem is battery drain when the screen is off. very very fast decharge!
Otherwise, the device might hang or soft reboot
For example, when the phone screen is locked. When you open the phone screen it has a bit of leg.
I think this is due to the kernel.
I flashed the RZ kernel v4.0 kernel and the problem was fixed.
