problems with the battery. - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

attached screenshots of the problem that is happening to me in my one plus 5T, I've already erased the cache and factory reset and it's still the same, some other idea?

Sorry to say, I think you might have to RMA it. Never seen anything like it. How long have you had the phone? When did it start?

omg, it can not be as soon as I have 1 month with the phone and it does not do more than to restart and the battery does that!

It happend me in the past when flashing roms in other phones. Just from 70% to 30% after a force closed and reboot.

You have to send it back under guarranty, problem with battery

Sorry to hear your problem.
Don’t wanna experience these type of issue ever.

Sad ?

My friend's OnePlus 2 did that a few years ago, I still have the screen from him. He sent it to me with a text that said "Weeeeeeeeeee" when it happened.

That's what the customer service people told me, but I have a detail. I went to a vacation in the USA, and I bought the phone, I arrived the same day I returned to Mexico and I did not realize I had this problem with the battery, now They tell me that I have to send the phone but they need a US address, and I do not have any relatives who live in the USA.
that's why I'm trying to solve it myself.

Try to calibrated the battery. Charge your phone at 100% and let it discharged until turn off (0%). So, with the phone turned off, recharger it at 100% (do not use the phone until this process ends). Or, unlock bootloader, install twrp and do a full wipe of internal storage and then install oxygen os again. I dont recommend a factory reset, because if there is a corrupt file on system, that will be useless.

On the first charge, you can use it to drain faster. On the second charge, you will have to wait it to be fully charged to use.

Do you think that a battery can die just like that with no reason?
I think its a software problem and not a technical one.
does anyone have another solution?
You have good reasons to believe it's a software thing, yet you also don't.
Focus on what you are able to do at the moment.
Since your phone is just a brick now, no matter what your suspicions are, you need to test it with another battery and eliminate possibilities.
Either the rom you flashed bricked your phone, or the battery just decided to call it a life. Either way, you need a battery to test whether it did actually die, or to determine whether it's a true software issue.

Yup it could happen(at least to me). My battery can last 10hours then suddenly when I woke up in a morning my phone dead. Use charger while power on only last to samsung screen. Thought it's a softbrick so tried to reflash but not working. Luckily I have a friend with the same phone so borrow his battery
so I checked with my friends battery and it still seem to have the same problem.
so does anyone have another solution maybe?

Have you tried to clear Data/Cache? AFAIK Odin does not clear them. You can try to reset all partitions with Odin using PIT file and then without rebooting flash stock rom. Hope that helps.

[Q] [Possible} Dead battery on New phone

So I got a new ZL from Newegg and I put CM 10.1.3 on it and it was working perfectly for 3 weeks.
Well this morning it started to act weird. Updating Apps prompt came up, random reboots. Then suddenly I wasn't able to boot into CM 10. It boots up to show the Clockworkmod android logo, but as soon as it starts to boot up CM, it shuts off.
I tried Factory Resetting it, wiping dalvik cache, wiping cache, wiping battery stats, everything. I even went back to the stock ROM, and nothing. I'm thinking it's a bad battery problem but.. I really hope that it isn't. It's a new phone.
Any help is very much appreciated!
*EDIT*
I also forgot to mention that I can power it on and it works perfectly fine only when plugged into a power source.

CWM don't use to many off battery power, that's why it didn't shut down on you...any other app or when it on, it uses battery more...so it will randomly reboot....if you don't know what to do, you can only send it to Sony servise center for repair....if you have warranty, you should relocked your bootloader and unroot your device...
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Hey @goldbolt did you find out what the problem was? Because I have the exact same problem, it stays on when I'm in CWM but doesn't boot into CM but if I plug it in a power source it works fine. I'm really hoping you know what the problem is or if you found a way to solve it. Thanks in advance!

So I kind of did figure out the problem. I re-locked the bootloader and put the stock un-rooted ROM back on there and I called up a Sony representative (got the number from newegg reps) and we very painfully slowly walked through just trying to upgrade the system software with PC companion but alas, it was all in vain. So I was instead that I was still covered under warrenty and to just send it in and we would go from there. He also said that it's a larger than not chance that I won't have to pay anything for repairs. But basically... just send it in man. I'm very sad and bothered by this but oh well. Nothing much I can do now. I hope I helped you out.
Did you relocked it using flashtool? and where did you get the stock unrooted rom? sorry for bothering, but i really don't want to brick my useless phone lol

Yeah, I relocked using flashtool and I put the stock rom back on there via flashtool as well. I got the stock rom from http://www.xperiablog.net/forum/resources/categories/xperia-zl.9/ and just flashed it over when I connected it (by holding down the VOL Down button and plugging it into my computer).

I flashed over the stock rom and then relocked. That file and flash completely reverts to stock with the exception of bootloader lockingness

Phone died from nothing. Please help

Guys I need help. My phone just died from nothing and doesen't turns on anymore! I was doing nothing but reading a Facebook post and then the screen shaked and turned off. After that I can't make it turn on!!! The charging battery doesn't appear when I connect it to the charger, but it turns on and shows a yellow triangle if I coonect it without the battery.
I am using stock V20h. What can it be? What do I do? I can't stay without my phone
Try another battery, from a friend or something... the fact that it turned off suddenly can be a battery problem.
I hope it's just a battery, good luck
Did you tried do remove the battery and put it back ?
Try to put the phone in fastboot mode and flash the stock file with lg tool and report back.
Also try to go into recovery mode if u have a custom recovery and do a full backup and then full wipe (system, data and cache)

Sounds like your motherboard died on its own and most G3's are still under warranty
Thanks for the reply, guys. I've tryed all of that. Even got another battery with a friend of mine and got the same results. I'm thinking it's the motherboard too =/. Gonna take it to the LG service tomorrow. Do the fact of flashing V20h breaks my warranty?

As long it isn't rooted, your phone is under warranty as long as you have LG's original software installed. So, YES, you still have warranty

Zenfone 2 only boots Android when plugged in a USB.

So I was using my phone normally yesterday, until it shuts down randomly while using the camera. So I restarted it, but it still restarted as I got to my home screen. So I said to myself that there must be something went wrong in the rom that I am using (which is LOS 14.1), but I've got a backup before **** happened, not to worry, after I restored it though, IT STILL RESTARTED, but the weird part is, It doesn't restart if it is charging. So I wondered maybe the battery has given up, but in the TWRP, it doesn't restart even unplugged?
Things that I had tried:
1. Tried a new rom (this time using BORETS ROM), still restarts when unplugged.
2. Ran the backup again, still no change.
3.Drained my battery in TWRP, charged it up to 100%, still restarts.
Also, when I boot up my phone without a USB cable plugged in, It restarts when loading the main rom (the rom's splash screen, not the main splash screen), PLEASE HELP ME.

The problem just seems very weird to be a hardware problem , So, again, after charging my phone up to 100 percent, booted it up to Android and then unplugged it, and I had about a minute of activity now before it shuts down. Again in recovery or boot loader, it never shuts down.
Do me a favour , test with cable attached to phone but detached from charger to rule out USB socket , cable etc:good:

If its out of warranty , i would first check all connections inside phone ,
it could be battery
it could be main board or usb board.
If it were battery though , it should shut down connected to lower amp pc usb2.
Not much you can do really apart from above, usb boards are cheap`sh to buy, maybe worth the gamble ? Obviously if connections dont fix before ditching if main board. Try a discon of all connections and reconnect before ditching
I have the EXACTLY same problem.
