Do you think that we can flash our KS20 with this OS ?
My english is not good , so please excuse me if I made some mistakes
someone got more information about this ?! looks very interesting but i cant find much about it via google and co.
greetz
limo its a project, this video its a testdrive demonstaration.
I found our phone (LG KS20) at here
http://www.limofoundation.org/en/limo-handsets.html
LG LiMo phone
^^ I think that's our KS20 with LiMo inside
I hope that we can also have it !!
I'm trying to boot android on my KS20 but i don't find one android release which boot arf =(
If someone can try to compile a new release of android which boot on KS20 , it will be great
Sorry for my bad english :$
Android | LiMo @ LG KS20
YOHA.. would be time to get rid of that WM6.1 from my LG KS20..
But, wait, LiMo is completely another thing than Android..
And besides that, I'm also pretty sure that Linux does work on the LG KS20, there is anyhow no trace of users able to do so in the wild till now..
So this means that either Android than some LiMo adehrent version should be available around: afaik there are no traces of such images or even help to build from sources..
Is this right or do somebody of you have some links/hints?
Maybe the closest relative to this is anyhow the HTC based Android compilations found in this forum (Vougue and Phantom..), maybe starting from them somehow..
But if someone has updates.. please do some postings here!
Cheers,

News? (Android on LG KS20)
I searched several times, but no traces of KS20 port of Android for the moment.
If you look at the nearest hardware device in advanced dev, you will see it's not gonna happen soon with full features :

No Android release for KS20
I'm sorry guys but it will be hard to have Android on KS20.
This LGE phone is based on MSM7200 old Qualcomm chipset at 400MHz.
Qualcomm started developing Android releases on newer MSM7200A which not only has higher clock for the ARM11 application processor, but also different architecture in terms of graphic acceleration. This means there will not be any official release compatible with KS20 in the future.
Although me and other engineers, who have access to Android and Qcom drivers code, would like to port it to this device, we are struggled by the fact that we don't have any drivers from LGE, to make all other things working (primarly camera and display). So, no way we can do it for now...
Anyway, without the benefit of having Qualcomm Adreno 3D graphic accelerator on it, it will be a pain to run Android UI on KS20!

Hi, you can try to load 0.8 linux images and almost all of other initrd like angstrom etc... with earlier Htc Niki's Kernel. Unfortunately I can't login trough ssh and GPIOs detection list from Haret doesn't correspond to the ones listed in the detailed Ks20 service manual...
I'm starting a new thread and I hope to involve some people with more skill than me...
ok, let me know about that new thread and links to the material and instructions, and I'll also try to contribute.

Hi,
I have a SE X2 smartphone, Swedish version. I would like to get in touch with other people that have an X2 and try to set-up a community much like the very active community on the X1 you have here. May be a new forum ?
As I see it, the X2 has good hardware but lousy software on it. WM 6.5 is not really stable, the original ROM makes the device very sluggish in performance, etc. Most annoying also is that I have not found how to change the language on the device. I want to change from Swedish to English. Surfing the net I have found the ROMs that I need to flash. I simply don't know how to flash them.
Another post suggested to try and trick the SEUS software into another language for the device so it would flash the other language stock ROM. Great idea but how to do that ?
Other posts talk about CID locks and HARD_SPL that need to be available first to enable flashing new/other firmware ROMs into the device. There is however nothing to be found on the status of these software tools nor their release date ?
Therefore, I try to reach out to fellox X2 enthusiasts that want to get the most out of their smartphone (investment). There seems to be a lot of competence within this forum's community. Let's try to join them and share.
The more people which request the X2 forum the more likely you are of acheiving this, so I'd suggest you request it here

Developers,
@Rebellos , @Tigrouzen , @mijoma , @oleg_k , @volk204 , @Taxidriver05 , @E:V:A
At the moment you are the best developers for Samsung Wave S8500 and S8530, but you leaved s8600 with no update.
Theres many s8600 users which have been forgotten, but they are back here on XDA whith one simple question: When Wave 3 will get Android update?
Long ago oleg_k gave us some files of his research, but then he go offline, and for long, he is not active anymore.
All files and his work here
@adfree took his files, but he dont really know how oleg_k based his research and how to use them right.
I only ask, is somebody of developers who is mention in thread, to help @adfree to finish oleg_k work, so Wave s8600 users can finally enjoy magic of android.
Don't get me wrong, we really need help.
Community, and owners of Wave III ( 3 ) would be grateful for that.
Bye
Problem for Wave 3 (GT-S8600) users is, that FOTA of GT-S8600 has stronger security encryption and is harder to break.
So we need to find a way to break it or to find another bootloader for GT-S8600...
Unfortunately there ar still only a few developers, who are working on this project.

Sounds awesome would we be able to dual boot? I will be willing to beta test if we can dual boot. I'm fairly experienced with linux so that should help. Also will the interface be optimized for touch at all? Also any particular reason for Kali over Ubuntu touch?

Hi,
I just got a new galaxy a5 2017, and i saw that the phone doesn't have any rom on the dev page.
So I would like to dev one by myself but before I begin the project i have a few question, I have already searched on internet but every tutorial have been done in 2012-2013. I need to tell you that I never build any rom .
The GA5 2017 doesn't have samsung update to nougat so can I take nougat AOSP ?
How can I be sure that the bottom will match with the rom ? (when I push power bottom, the phone will start ?)
How to be sure that every hardware will match with the software (APN, BOTTOM, SCREEN, SENSORS ETC) ?
Does samsung give a sort of map of the different hardware of the phone to be recognize by the software ?
So before I begin I need to know those things and if you have any others advices they are welcome. If you are a developper, I will be very interested if you can help me and learn me. :good:
Thank you for your answers.
