I bought this secondhand N4 910v. It has:
Android: 6.0.1
Baseband: N910VVRS2CQ82
Kernel version: 3.10.40
Build number: MMB29M.N910VVRS2CQ82
I have tried connecting this phone to several PCs but to no avail. Windows gives the error "Cannot recognize device...".
In Settings -> Dev Options -> "USB debugging" is checked. There is another option down the line Dev Options -> "USB configuration". It has options such as "Charging", "MTP", "PTP", "RNDIS", "Audio Source", "MIDI". When I try to change it from "Charging" to any other option, Windows gives the same "Cannot recognize device" error.
*#0808# does not work. In the ##366633# secret menu. I only have two options which read exactly this:
Enable DM Mode
Disable DM Mode (Set MTP Mode)
There is no ADB option.
I have tried connecting the phone while it's turned off, and in factory reset menu as well. Have also tried to connect after factory reset, but Windows gives the same error.
Not sure where to go from here... any help would be appreciated.

When I connect my phone to my mac, it only shows up when I have kies running. I can't see it as a usb storage device like I can on windows. Is there a way to fix this?
I figured it out. I'll list the steps in case another OSX user needs help.
1. Enable USB Debugging mode (Settings > Applications > Development > Enable - USB Debugging
2. Connect your phone to your computer.
3. On your phone, bring down the drop down menu and select the USB connection, then click enable.
4. You should be able to use your phone as a USB storage device, now.
"Dial up networking" is checked and "USB debugging" is checked, but can no longer connect in Diagnostic Mode...
I can verify that it worked before with this same phone with JB...I can't connect with BP tools mode
I messed around with drivers. But I can't figure out what to do and how do I turn it back on. Anyone have a solution to getting Diagnostic Mode back? on KitKat I am using Droid Razr.
I'm using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617918

When I plug the USB into my G3 I get "Other Devices - Android". If I try and install the drivers from an install of this: LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3, I go and tell Windows I will select the driver it onl;y gives an option as an ADB Device. But there is no selection for an "LG Android Composite Device" (or something along those lines).
I am stuck with Fastboot Mode Started and can't do anything about it.
Anyone have any ideas?
On your Phone go to Settings > More Settings. Chose USB utilities and tap Connect Storage to PC. You might be asked to unplug and plug your Android device in order to install necessary drivers. After you've completed all the steps, check if your Android phone is recognized.
Check LG G3 Manual- guideusermanual.com/product-name-lg-g3-manual&po=134051&lang=English for more support.
Wonder if it is only my reme! Unlocked boot-loader. Ver: RMX2081_11_A_41. Not checked on 33 or39.
1. Enable USB Debugging - connect to PC - Select usb connection only for charging device - Debug option goes off.
2. Enable USB Debugging - connect to PC - Select usb connection for "transfer files" - Debug option stays on.
3. Connect to PC with USB debugging on and select "transfer files" - pull down QS and tap to select usb connect is only for charging - Debugging forced off in dev options settings.
Is it something implemented in Android 10? Never had a device with stock Q ROM. Used only custom Q ROMs on earlier devices and not exposed to this implementation if it is so! Did not want to upload a screen record of the same as it is about ~11 MB.
Can someone please throw some light on this and how USB debugging option has to be tied to USB connect choices - if it happens on anyone's device? And thanks in advance.
I have read this - https://www.realme.com/in/support/kw/doc/FAQ1114 though it is an older one but still not able to figure out the relationship when USB transfer files can exist without dev options but not the other way around.
