Flip cover is supposed to be free and INCLUDED with the purchase of your note, you can verify this by dropping Samsung PH an email.

When I ordered the tablet i also got an Ivso cover.
I have an issue when I flip the cover fully open: when the magnetic part touches the top back side of tablet the screen will switch off. It looks like the tablet thinks that the cover has been closed.
This thing is quite annoying and I couldn't find any way to disable this.
Is there any way that I could change how the tablet reacts when the cover is closed? Disabling the behavior(lock it when the book cover closes) could work for me but i couldn't find a way to do it.
Any thoughts?

I have the same IVSO cover , but don`t encounter such a problem.

The cover you purchased is not genuine Samsung. I had ordered one on EBAY and it did the same thing. When I purchased the cover from BestBuy, I no longer have the issue because the cover opens opposite to the one I purchased from EBAY.

I want to buy a cheap flip case (<$15) that locks/unlocks the phone automatically. I bought one but it didn't work and I had to use the s-view app . Does anyone know what case should I buy?
I never found a case which worked except for the official Samsung ones, so i ended up buying that, works and fits perfectly

I've purchased a cheap cover with a circle window from Hong Kong that isn't working with the cover screen. I did drop my phone earlier so I'm concerned that the phone is at fault and not the cover - can anyone confirm where the locations of the magnets that are used to activate the smart lock screen are? I'm trying to test it out manually but nothing is happening. I assume it's magnets like most other phones.

I believe it's a sensor somewhere near the front facing camera. Have you btw enabled the ASUS Cover from the ASUS Customized Settings? Also, not all these flip cases work especially the cheap ones.
For e.g. this one works quite well - http://amzn.com/B00WDZCQ48
But it would be impossible to find out unless you use the cover with someone else who has the same phone or try a different cover.

Yep, fully enabled. I assumed it was at the top, annoying as the phone isn't available in my part of the world, covers aren't available locally either. I was trying to use magnets to check as generally that works on other phones. So far, no dice. Oh well, I'll buy a new case.
the smart cover magnet sensor is around left bottom, near the back key area of the screen.
I got a couple of cheap Nillkin sparkle flip covers with cutout and they both work perfectly.
I too brought third party case from hongkong its mercury goospery case . In my case the magnet is there and view flip appears if i tilt the flip a lil down. There is card holder too. Can i insert small magnet in card holder??will this have any harm??

I have 'goosperry' case for my smartphone, I set option smart cover without window, and doesn't works (smart cover with window doesn't work as well).

Smart cover have a magnetic layer and that's how the phone senses the open or closed cover.
Generic windowed covers might not have this feature.
Hmm.. magnetic layer. I tried one cover which had 2 magnets on corners inside.
It doesn't work either.
Do u know where i can find Huawei cover without a window? All which I can find on ebay or whatever where, got window.
Has any got info about not original case, where smart cover works?

Not corners, have to be in specific places. Have you checked aliexpress? I'm sure they have a ton of them.
Unfortunatelly only cases without window are for P9 Lite ;/
Too bad, I thought it will works.
