So today I pushed my amazon fire tv's storage capacity to its limit by pushing a very folder on to it, believing I could move the files to my SD card afterward. I had no luck moving the files to my SD card with the ES file manager because of the common root issue, so instead I just deleted the folder that was bogging down the FireTV from ES file manager. I am still at max storage for no discernible reason! and the files no longer appear under internal storage in ES file manager. So what am I to do? To make matters weirder now on top of the constant notifications that I am out of storage space, I am also getting constant notifications that my Amazon Fire Game Controller is being updated. This usually last for a minute or two before "finishing" then after another few minutes starts all over. Thanks for any help guys, would really like to resolve this .

I deleted them and nothing bad seems to Hav happened. I did find where all my storage is being consumed. Blobs folder. Now how do I figure out which I can safely delete. I went in rec overy mode and chose free up unused backup space. It still has 4ooo folders. Ideas?

I use a program called Space Sniffer. My GS3 doesn't show up as a USB drive, but there are steps out there to mount it as a USB drive. Easy UMS apk I think it's called. Once it's mounted you can use Space Sniffer to see what folders are taking up a lot of space. The Easy UMS needs root. If you don't want to do that, and have a spare MicroSD card, you could always copy the contents of internal storage over to the MicroSD card and then mount that on your PC and scan with Space Sniffer, or a program like it.
There's probably some kind of sniffer for androids in the play store, I haven't looked.
Hey everyone, pretty much first serious post. Hope someone can help me with it.
I have an At&t Galaxy s3, running the latest aokp rom, by task 650, its up to android 4.3
my issue is that i can add files to my phones internal sd card and its external sd card, but once i restart, the files are gone. all my files that i added even as long as a week or two ago are still there, even some things that i delete return once i reboot. i can move files from my internal sd card to the external and they stay after a reboot and vice versa. so i know that things can be added. but for some reason when i transfer music through windows file explorer to either sd card as soon as i reboot those files are gone. when i xfer the files it does say that "your device might not be able to play or view this file."
i can even play the music for a while after copying it as long as i don't restart, eventually it starts to go into hyperdrive so its a second of squiggles then goes to next song.
even if i transfer files through a wifi based app like air droid or just using an app to copying over a shared network the same thing happens.
i don't think that the internal sd card or external are corrupt because i can move files back and forth as long as they were on the device originally.
i don't know if i should reformat my external sd card because i doubt it would fix it then i'd be out of all my music.
really hoping someone can help me,
this was happening before i upgraded to 4.3 having done that only a day or two ago and it has been happening for at least a couple weeks, and it worked on the 4.2 version i had because i took me a couple months to upgrade to 4.3 and in that time i did add files to the internal and external.
last thing to mention, with a torrent phone app when i download files they also dissappear.
hope someone can help me with this, and that it's simple.
i'd rather feel dumb than it be something complicated.
thanks for any and all help yall can give.
update
I did a full clean install of the aokp rom i'm on wiiping everything instead of just the dalvik cache and cache, which normally works fine.
now the internal sd card retains the files i'm adding to it, even after a couple reboots. which is a step up. but the external still won't let me add files to it, even if i copy them over from my internal to the external using astro file manager or es file explorer. on restart files are gone from the external. i don't think that the external sd card is corrupt but i'm copying all the file off of it right now, then plan to reformat. not sure how i'll go about it, but i really hope it works.
this is really frustrating, its a 64gb external micro sd card that has always worked perfectly.
any input at all would be a great help.
update 2
my external sd card is the problem then i guess, because i put it in my brothers phone, did reformat, and it says reformating deleting all data. then remounts it.
shows exact same amount of available space and storage, stuck at 42.2gb or whatever, if i go into the sd card manually and delete files as soon as i reboot the phone all the files are back.
is there anyway to fix this?
Well, I have suffered already. I have rooted my phone yesterday, so I could enjoy those pro huge games like NFSMW, MC and others which I bought this mobile for, but major problem is with storage, I can't move them to SD card using folder mount and such APPs..
I rooted my mobile and used SD fix to make it writtable and all of those process succeeded, but still when I use ES Explorer or any manager, I see all folders in "Android" is empty, so when I move NFSMW to SD, it moves like 250 KB folder only. I can't get access to 2.01 GB file, so I can move it...
So in cool and sweet, how can I get access to those large files in "Android" folder so I can move them to SD card? Help me, please. I am really tired of my phone..

Hello guys, I have some questions about data generating and mainly modifying Google Play billing information, hope I can find answers here...
Each time I open Titanium Backup or Google Play has some update on apps, my external SD Card will generate 2 folders which are "data\com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup" and "Android\data", the second one will have some system apps folders inside suck as "com.android.gallery3d" and "com.google.android.apps.maps". I rooted my G3 and use ES file explorer to manage my files. But I didn't experience such issues in my previous Galaxy Note, which means those apps or system won't generate any app data on external SD Card. Most importantly those app folders (13+ folders) are empty and all 0.00 KB!
It is somehow annoying and I can't ignore it so each time I access my external SD card I will have to delete them manually. I wonder what is the problem and how can I tweat the system so that it won't generate it in SD card again, internal storage folder already contained all those app data folders!
External SD Card's folder (root):

Inside the "Android\Data" Folder:

What? Nobody here can help me? Someone should know...
I think you're a little too much stressed with pretty much nothing to worry about.
So I first got a message saying that the sdcard was missing. then I found out that it was actually unmounting and remounting itself. And sometimes it would say corrupted as well.
So somehow it fixed itself. So i'm taking the change to get my data out and change to a new SD Card.
What would be the procedure for this.
I already moved all the apps that were on the sdcard to the internal memory.
But still see that there's an Android folder full of app data.
When i plug the phone on the computer am I seeing the internal memory + sdcard or only sdcard?
Can i just copy everything I see out and then replace with a new card, format as internal again and copy the stuff back in?
I already got everything except the android folder, there's like a few thousand files in there so it takes forever to compute the files.... doesnt even start copying.

I am facing the exact same issue. Hope the community supports and someone would answer this thread. My SDcard mounted as internal storage is not mounting anymore , says currepted. I am tons of Data on it. Some apps magically disappeared.
Please help, what should be the next step. If I buy new Card,, is it recommended to mount as External storage instead of Internal Storage?
