HD Netflix - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

Is there any way for us to make enough noise so that Lenovo certify our phone for L1 level security in order to get HD Netflix? Or does anyone know of any other way to get it?

This is the response I got.
After they realised they asked for some info (software version IMEI) but did not respond again.

[Q] HTCSense.com & Rooted/Unlocked Phone

Hello,
I was wondering: signing to HTCSense.com to register the phone and see what are the free services they offer would be a good idea having a rooted phone or doing so could lead to "unpleasant" consequences?
Thanks in advance for the help!
There's no problem. Atleast yet. It might be that they may implement some checks later on, but I doubt it and if they will, these forums will surely help you with anything that will happen.

[Q] Problem with HTC Watch

Hello everyone.
Here I have a question about the operation of HTC Watch.
I am with a ROMCustom, I can buy, rent and download movies from the app, but I can not retrieve the DRM to start playback of movies.
Someone you an idea of what may be the cause, such as the detection of the root of the device that would prevent normal operation of the app.
Sorry if my English is not very understandable, but it is a google translation.
I thank in advance any persone I can answer is an early response.
Armrhero.
I have the same problem. I have also tried Voodoo unroot with the same result. Has anyone managed to get this working?
Here the same.

replacement motherboard for G4 came with 'hacked' ROM

Hi,
Just something that worries me a lot atm and wanted to ask/alert people about. Probably 'a thing' that everybody knows about (?) in which case .. .well.. carry on, nothing to see here
I ordered a replacement motherboard for my LG G4 (H815) on ebay and the board I got does not seem to have come with the Stock ROM on it although it does appear at first to be stock.
When going through the pre-installed Apps I noticed that there was something odd though : it comes pre-installed with SuperSU (which starts automatically at boot). Even worse : I can't remove that SuperSU either, only Disable it.
When I tried to Unlock the bootloader at LG's website and replace the ROM (something I had done before so I know the procedure) I was told that the IMEI and DeviceID do not match. Replacing the ROM seems to not be an option even though it probably was rooted before to install the current ROM. I haven't tried to flash it with LG Flash yet ... so maybe that'll be the way out.
The more I started thinking about it the more nefarious this seems to me : a replacement motherboard with a locked bootloader that can't be unlocked (the ROM on it is Android 5.1 btw, not 6) which starts a SuperSU service at boot that most people probably wouldn't even notice and which has access to :
- Google Play billing service
- Retrieve running apps
- Run at Startup
- Prevent Phone from sleeping
That service could turn that phone into a zombi and considering that more smartphones than this one are probably in the same state things could get ugly.
What's worse, although I did disable it, there really is no way of really knowing that the smartphone is indeed 'safe'. I'm surely not going to use it for Home Banking atm! But even email or adding a Google account , or using facebook, etc already are things you probably shouldnt do when somebody else may have root on your smartphone..
kind regards,
Benny

Wow that's unfortunate
Maybe try @steadfasterX's SALT utility and see what info it gives you. Also, I assume the IMEI is from the software and not the back of your phone (e.g. the one from your previous motherboard)

hi, Thanks, I'll have a look at Salt Utility. Got the IMEI from the OS, not the sticker. It's actually not just the mobo that I replaced. This G4 is 'lego-ed" togheter from parts sourced all over the place so do not have the original housing I have a second, unlocked G4. This one was supposed to be my backup. Maybe the unlock simply fails because somebody else already unlocked it before - not sure if they could relock it afterwards , maybe they used Salt and didn't unlock...
Thanks for the response.
Edit : Come think of it, maybe the Device ID is not only dependant on the Motherboard but calculated from information gathered from other parts in the system as well like the screen , cameras, sim card reader ... who knows :-/ Might not be able to unlock any LG when any of those unknown parts is replaced.

. As long as you talk about the device ID displayed in fastboot it is coming from your mainboard and can't be changed. if you talk about the Android device ID it's generated by the ROM and that one can be changed easily
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs

I'd be interested to know whether the IMEI and device model from SALT match the values displayed in the OS

Galaxy Watch security status "unknown"

Hi folks. After manually updating my Bluetooth 46mm watch to BSA4 manually via NetOdin, my security status is showing as "unknown". Does anyone know what this means, why and how this can be fixed? It doesn't impact me being able to use things like Samsung Pay as the software is still considered in Official status, but not sure if this will affect being able to get OTA updates. Cheers
Mine is showing the same, "unknown" and I did nothing. Any ideas what it means?
I just bought my watch yesterday and it also says "unknown" for security status.
Same here. Something to be worried about? I do have unknown sources checked off and developer mode enabled.
Guys, I have this problem after last OTA update a few weeks ago in Turkey and I did nothing manuel. Then seeing it, I took it to the service center, they have reinstalled the software and given it back to me. But I have insisted and got in touch with Samsung Turkey saying this device is now a faulty product because it will most likely have security problems with Samsung Pay and similar; therefore I want it replaced; not semi repaired like this. They know the problem well, called me a few times and requested all software and hardware information both in phone and the watch. As I can see the update somehow damaged the security status of our watches; we are not alone, they will try to find a way to correct it if possible with a software update. We will wait and see, I will inform here. Please you also reach to your country's technical support for consumer pressure.
What was the code you used to check it?
With new update I can't find the status.
I was told by the customer relations that related menu would be discarded with the update; it seems that way; I am still waiting for the update though.
Can you tell me which is the code to check it? Or menu?

There is no way to check it after the latest OneUI update. It's completely gone from the menus.

Question Issue with call recording

Hi guys, first of all, im currently running one ui 5 android 13
I have tried a lot of apps to record phone calls and every time the recorded audio sound is blank
I have seen that this is due to google politics or something, do u know how can i record it.
I want to be able to record it because several people have told me they stop listening to me properly during phone calls, but i listen to them good. Its not problem of my SIM because in other phones i dont have that problem and samsung technical support already "fixed my phone", i even sent them my phone so they would fix it.
Im pretty dissapointed with this phone.
Any suggestions of how can i record a phone call or even better, if u know any solution of my problem with the calls? Thanks!
The easiest solution is to use native samsung call recording. You can use this method, worked for me as well: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ith-galaxy-a52s-solved.4423477/#post-86660135
I chose XID as well. When downloading new ROM to extract HOME_CSC from, be sure to download the same version, e.g. A528BXXS1DVL2 for A13 with December 2022 security patch, you can find the version in "software update" in settings as the first string after "current version".
