How can i slove "Your device is corrupt" - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

At the first, I was erased all the data and system.
And i got a critical mistake for erasing storage data.
I try to flash google stock image 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.013, Jan 2018).
"Your device is corrupt" was occurred.
So, i did :
Fastboot flashing lock
Fastboot flashing unlock
And to flash google stock image again.
Then try to flash my original rom 8.0.0 (OPD1.170816.025, Nov 2017).
Unfortunately, "Your device is corrupt" appears again.
Now, i can open adb and fastboot mode, but no recovery and system.
Also, I have twrp backup to restore.
What should i do???

fastboot flashing unlock_critical
flash your original factory image, get stock working, then do whatever you planned on doing.

I lock again and type
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
but, failed <remote: Device already : unlocked!>
obviously, device state shows that locked
-------------------------------------------------------------------
ok i try
Fastboot flashing lock
Fastboot flashing unlock
and
fastboot flashing lock_critical
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
Then unlock two type of this.
should i run flash-all.bat now?

yep.

When i get start after running flash-all.bat
"A lighting circle - Erasing" instead of "Your device is corrupt".
and reboot to bootloader.
Also, i cant' start the system and "Your device is corrupt" again.

As for the problem, does your N7 have a custom recovery installed?
If yes, just boot into recovery, plug it into your PC and ADB sideload a ROM from your PC onto your N7. How you can do an ADB sideload depends on what custom recovery you have, and can be found on the web if you search.
If no, just install one ASAP and do the rest

You can open a command window on the platform tools folder inside the android SDK (here) http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html by holding shift on it and right clicking. Click open new command window here. Go into fastboot mode on your tablet. There is a command to flash a .img which is fastboot flash (or fastboot boot if you do not want to flash) then after fastboot flash or boot you put the name of your recovery followed by .IMG (it has to be a .IMG file) the recovery needs to be in the platform tools folder for this to work. From your recovery you can flash an image but it needs to be on the internal SD(so this probably won't work)

I heard that you could flash a recovery without an unlocked bootloader but if you want to unlock your bootloader type fastboot oem unlock in the the command(while in fastboot) window and you will be asked if you want to unlock Select yes with the volume keys and the on button

This saved my Nexus 7 2013. It would not boot, I could not flash, format, copy anything, etc. The dreaded spinning Google symbol. It would give me errors when trying to flash. I tried TWRP and CWM, nothing would flash. I ran the Dead_Nexus7.bat file from the link below and my Nexus worked. It was like magic bringing it back from the dead. I am assuming the problem occurred when unlocking the device. It froze for a minute or two, until I started tapping on it.

yes all driver installed properly , after type fastboot oem unlock i press yes on tablet and after seem like tablet hang !!
Hmmm. You actually don't need an unlocked bootloader to flash a recovery so just run the fastboot boot or fastboot flash

You need to get the newest fastboot binary from Google's SDK here: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
The debian/rpm repositories often don't have the most recent one.
So, in short, uninstall your current adb/fastboot, download the zip linked above, move the adb/fastboot binaries to a folder in $PATH (ex. /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin), chmod +x them both (may require sudo depending on where you put them), then run the flashall script again.
Hope this helps.

OTA Update Location

Hi,
I made this stupid mistake of forgetting to turn off the OTA auto update. Now that it's already downloaded, I'd like to know where this update file is at so that it doesn't get updated and mess with my root. I can't even restart without starting the update process. Please help.
Please be more clear.
If you want the update files dowload location they are in internal storage , folder name is started with hw.....( I forgotted i remembered it was like hwota)) In that folder it was stored.

Hi guys,
i tried to update the new OTA B183 and as you know it didn't work since i have twrp already installed on it, i would like to know how i can restore the official recovery.img so i can update.
I already tried to extract the recovery.img and to put it in internal storage but i could not find it in twrp for encryption reasons (many folders with strange letters on it) and putting the recovery.img on external sd card and flashing it ended to an error...
What is the proper process to get the original recovery and to install it ?
Do i need to decrypt, format data and use a kernel fileencryption ?
I'm kind of lost because i don't know where to find the proper original recovery.img and the kernel fileencryption.
I know how to flash, fastboot, root, but for this process, i would appreciate a step by step
My honor 8 pro is a DUK L09, European version, running now with B130 update.

Fastboot not working

I was using ressurction remix and had a latest dirty update via twrp and my phone was encrypted automatically. After that when I wish to use the fastboot mode and flash miui 10 beta version through miflash tool whenever i press on refresh of miflash tool the phone automatically disconnect and on the phone top left screen a message is shown "press any key to power off/shutdown".
I am not able to flash miui 10 through miflash and not able use any fastboot commands.
The only command i can use "fastboot devices"
Other than that phone automatically get disconnected.
I am using minimal adb and fastboot 1.4.3

[ROM][STOCK][FASTBOOT][OP8P] Stock Fastboot ROMs for OnePlus 8 Pro

Things are changing with the advent of project treble and seamless updates. OnePlus will no longer release ROMs flashable via recovery (either stock) because is no more needed. The updates will be done on the slot not used for example if you are using slot a the update will be installed on slot b and the slot b will be set as default. If you brick and you are in bootloop how you can restore the rom? You can't with Stock ROM you have, because the zip can be only installed via Update Engine, so what can you do? Flash a stock rom via fastboot. I have extracted all images from the stock zip and i have made a new zip with the Fastboot ROM with a flash-all.bat included. This will work only if your bootloader is unlocked. This will erase all your data and will wipe your internal storage.
HOW TO FLASH
This version is only for not branded devices
Download the zip;
Unpack the zip in a folder;
Reboot the OnePlus 8 Pro in fastboot-bootloader mode (Power and volume + and volume-);
Connect the OnePlus 8 Pro to PC;
Run flash-all.bat flasher you need;
Wait until the process end;
The phone will automatically reboot.
DOWNLOAD

BRANDED PHONE
For now branded device are not supported

REMEMBER
"Invalid sparce file format at header magic" is not an error, you need to wait a bit when you see that string, just wait.
If the device automatically reboot in Stock Recovery mode don't reboot it and wait the flash end.
These ROMs can't be used to update or downgrade your phone but just to restore your phone.
If the rom seems doesn't start go in recovery stock and follow this guideline: English -> Wipe data and cache -> Erase everything.
If you want to rebrand your phone from HydrogenOS to OxygenOS you can follow this guide: Rebrand Guide
If you want you can use also my tool to flash Factory Images, unlock bootloader, flash twrp or to understand if the device is recognized: https://toolaio.tk/

I got it. It's in the file you download.
So I'm really screwed here. I flashed a substartum theme that caused my phone to boot into fastboot mode. I cant delete the theme witha an adb command because its not recognizing my device.
Now I fastbooted the stock rom with flash all.bat and Im getting failed error commands. I just realized that Ive already updated to 10.0.55 and its not working. What do I do?
