I've been able to change the boot logos on other devices I own. I was wondering if there is a way to do it on the 8.9 HD? I am currently running Temaseks CM 13 build and TWRP recovery.

I currently have dual-booted kindle. The order is like this:
Normal Boot (JellyBean rom)
Recovery
Alternate Boot (Stock Kindle Fire Rom)
Restart Boot? (something like that)
I want it to be like this:
Normal Boot (Stock Kindle Fire Rom)
Alternate Boot (JellyBean rom)
Recovery
Restart Boot? (something like that)
Thank you!
Hi,
I had freedom book 8.4.3, twrp 2.6.3.1 and PAC-man 4.3.Build-1_20131030-162108.
I just tried to upgrade to PAC-man 4.4 nightly-20140927.
The first step is to upgrade to freedom book 8.4.6 and TWRP 2.7.0.0. I used fireflash, put both them in, and choose install scripts (first option). Then reboot.
Now it's stuck withe the blue Kindle Fire logo.
I can get into TWRP recovery. But not sure what I should do next. Can I check if freedom boot is installed correctly? Should I continue to flash the new PAC-man?
Thanks
I had my kfhd 8.9 lte rooted and loaded cm11 then changed to liquid smooth. LTE didn't work, so I attempted to go stock installed stock rom . Got locked in endless original(orange no blue)boot splash screen. Fast boot works, no adb. I have attempted to load various Roms recover and boot IMG via fast boot cmd. Tried kffa, get max size errors. Tried SRT no avail. Both these products seem out of date. What boot, recovery, system img file combo should I be using? Any Help?

Hi I installed CM10 for my kindle fire HD 8.9 some time ago by using TWRP 2.6.0.0. Do not think I kept the stock recovery at that time.
A few days I decided to update CM10 and chose one update CM11 rom shown in the setting
It is at that time I got into trouble of bootloop. The tablet continue to boot into TWRP 2.6.0.0
Then I managed to download CM11 or CM12 onto my PC and adb push them to the tablet and tried to install them in TWRP 2.6.0.0, but both failed
then i downloaded an amazon stock rom version 8.4.6 and adb push it to the tablet and this time it installed.
But apparently the stock rom is installed on the 2nd bootloader --- i saw the orange "kindle fire" sign first, then the blue one, and then the orange one again before amazon stock rom come up.
Now my question is that is there any way for me to get back to the original stock rom and get rid of the 2nd bootloader totally?
Just want to have a total fresh start and install CM11 or CM12 on this tablet.
thanks a lot.
hi this issue has been resolved. the solution is to update twrp from 2.6.0.0 to 2.8.70 and then the CM11 or CM12 will be installed.
I finally managed to install the latest twrp, and flashed lineageOS-14.1 for t310 and gapps. I got the tablet working with this recovery and rom, but now I want to flash the kernel so I am able to OC the CPU and other hardware changes.
I tried kernoleOC for t31x v6, but when I flash the kernel and reboot it just gets stuck on the boot screen and continuously shows boot animation. It won't do anything else besides this.
2 questions, what do I need to try to do to stop it from looping at boot animation? Also, can someone recommend another custom kernel for tab 3 8.0 t310 running lineageOS-14.1 which allows for hardware customization like OC and uv.
Any suggestions and help is appreciated.
