Has anyone tried getting LOS built? - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

Pretty much the title. I was able to get an AOSP build going but I was wondering if anyone here has tried building Lineage for Taimen?? I'm running a repo sync right now and hopefully I'll have a build done before too long.
Anyone have any success?

Hey let me know if it worked. I love my pixel 2 xl but man do I worry about all the crap Google is doing in the background.

Boot2Gecko/Firefox OS?

What are the chances of us getting Firefox OS (formerly known as Boot2Gecko) on our Inc2's?
I know it has been ported to several android phones. I would really like to get this on my phone, so if anyone knows more about this, I'd love to find out. I dont know much about porting roms, but Im using linux, and have a decent knowedge of it and compiling software. If I can help I would love to.
If nobody wants to take on this project, can you at least give me some advice on where to start?
Here's a zip, Im going to try flashing it now (although im sure it wont work)

There are nighties here
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/
Also, here is a git server:
https://github.com/mozilla-b2g
and another, this seems to be tailored for android devices

Could we port it over?

Did anyone try "BAMF Paradigm [JellyBean]"

Hi guys. Has anyone else tested this rom yet? Been running it for a little over a week and except for the known issues with JB it is really solid. There hasn't been anything in the thread since 8/5 and I anted to make sure it's still being developed.

I didnt think no nobody was using it. To be honest I had stop using it myself. Yes development will still be going on. The next update is going to be built from source. I tired to build it Saturday I believe but something was wrong with google's servers. So I will start on it today and see if I get any luck. :fingers-crossed: And also downgrade my Ubuntu from 12.04 to 11.10 that should fix some problems.

I'm loving your rom. It's my daily driver even without being fully functional. I've found that I don't have to take pictures or watch netflix to enjoy my EVO. I was on Reloaded prior to trying this one but could never get it to be totally stable. Sure it was user error but I haven't had 1 freeze or reboot with this one. Let me know if you need me to test something as I will be running this at least until reloaded .500 releases. I can still see this as a daily once it's complete.

Of course I like it I just never got mine too be totally stable. It would freeze on me often and I never took the time to figure out how to get a report using log cat so never had evidence of what was happening. Since I was pulling the battery to restart I didn't know if it would log something that happened prior to battery pull. Also could never get the widgets to survive a restart.
Crack.....no

Verizon Visual Voicemail and Andtoif 4.3/Sense 5.5

I have been switching between NOS 2.01 and NuSense One and neither of the latest builds have Verizon Visual Voicemail functioning correctly. I do not currently have enough posts to post on developer forums but did not want to just post useless posts to meet the quota. Has anyone had any luck getting VVM working with 4.3/sense 5.5? Maybe someone has a separate flashable zip that can be applied. I have searched and cannot find any source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not that I know. I have tried with other Roms on other phones and had the same problems. I finally just said f it and just started using Google voice

It seems like it worked on NuSense RC3 but camera was broken. Now in RC4 camera fixed and VVM broken. NOS 2.01 I can get to vvm to work but it reports media type not supported when attempting to play back message. So close yet so far away.

I'll check it out.
Working on a new build...
I recall dealing with this on the Thunderbolt and Dna as well and it shouldn't be too hard, except that I don't use it to be able to test.
May take one or two more shots at it to get it nailed down, hopefully not.

Thanks for the response. I have been trying to figure out how to get the problem posted to your thread. I have been flashing roms for years but apparently haven't been using xda. Thank you for your hard work on this Rom. It is awesome. If you need someone to beta your RCs I would be happy to. If you need me to try out the vvm tests I would be happy to as well. When I bought the One after running over my gnex, I thought my flashing days were over... So glad they are not. I thought I was a pure vanilla man, but I am suprised how much I like sense. Then add in 4.3 with sense 5.5 and it is awesome.
Thanks again for your hard work. Hopefully soon I will be able to post my findings directly to your thread .
I have a question

Did you ever come up with a fix for this? Im on the new viper rom that released the other day and miss some of the VZW features.
I remember this from my Droid Incredible days, it was a prop.build fix back then:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953746&highlight=vvm
Change ro.HorizontalVVM=true to false, and use the attached app
Not sure if this will work or not.
You have to re-boot, and may have to rename the original VVM client to like bak or whatever

Considering building Rom for X9067 Find 7 QHD

Hello everyone, I haven't compiled a Rom from source before, but I have spent like 5 hours researching and watching videos and going through the CM wiki, now I feel pretty confident in trying it.
I have a Find 7 QHD X9076, I will start working on this tomorrow.
I am just wondering if anyone would be interested in testing it?
Also does anyone know where I can get the proprietary blobs from, I could extract them from the current CM builds, but I'm
sure those are for the 7A.
If anyone knows where I could get it from then that would help me a lot.
Let me know your thoughts
PS if this actually works, ill probably consider looking into optimizations and features rather than just a dedicated CM11 build for the X9076
Sounds great! Do you have a X9076 yourself?

Are you just compiling existing CM?

Also they already do that, nightly

I would recommend to test build SlimROM insted. Comming from Galaxy S4 and I think SlimROM was the most stable/best rom.

Yeah, I have a the international QHD version, there isnt a lot of support at the moment so I thought it have a crack at it, also considering a stock rom with performance enhances instead as there is already a CM nightly, but then again thats for the 7a.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to compile yet, I know they already have a nightly, but there are a world of issues for the QHD version as those nightly builds are for the 7a, so I was thinking about building for the QHD instead.

I will look into that, I also looked into omni rom, and a stock rom with enhancements and new features.

Really hope you deside on SlimROM.
HELP!
Can anyone help me get the proprietary files for the X9076 version? I know I can install CM11 and extract them, but will those files work if I build from SlimRom? or is there another way I can obtain them?
you didn't hear this from me:
github.com/themuppets - CM
github.com/donkeycoyote - Omni
Omni won't work on the QHD Find7 yet, if you decide to try and get it running, you will, at a minimum, have to fix the display panel reset GPIO code.
https://github.com/omnirom/android_...mmit/59223a3e64565bcfa13bfd3b58fc676128d02ca7 - this was only done for the 7a and still needs to be done for the 7, but so far no one has a device to try and fix that stuff up.

Thanks for this I will look into it, unfortunately I have a terrible internet connection and until I find somewhere that I can download the setup files, I wont be able to move forward, 15GB download would take me like 3 weeks

wowwww.
You might have to up your internet first.
But count me in if you are creating a stock based ROM. I'll gladly help you test it.

Yeah I am looking more towards stock also, I actually quite like the Colour OS, minus the tacky icons. Ill keep y'all posted with whatever happens Thanks for Volunteering to test btw.
I will test for SlimROM. Know the rom well.

Havoc rom

Been trying to get havoc rom on my device. It's just amazing and reminds me of the haydays of KitKat ?
Haven't gotten my Google fi Sim to work so kind of stuck
Love to see a native port of it if someone takes the time for pixel 3 ? ?
You could try messing with this
