HI guys,
Looking for some help
I have a demo unit and trying to get rid of the retail demo on it.
I can disable the retail user by going to security - users - and then going to apps and disable and clear data to stop the retail demo playing but cannot install as its a system app. once i restart tablet it comes back
I'm trying to look at firmwares and flashing the device but not 100% sure what im looking for.
can anyone advise on what i need to do?
kind regards
Hello
Download the FW corresponding to your device in the Huawei website (support section). I think the procedure will be also described there...
hope this helps
I have the same problem
I have the same tablet, downloaded the firmware but has made the main button/ fingerprint sensor unusable, any suggestions??
Did you try to perform a factory reset ?
Liszt Retail Demo
Having the same problem and cannot find any up to date info or tutorials to provide a full root.
Have tried Kingo Root with no luck. Installed SuperSu but it is coming up with 'SU Binary Occupied' any extra info on this would be a great help!

Hi Guys,
I am really new to the rooting customary process. Pardon me if there are information that I am not aware of. Okay, I always wanted to root to install apps that were restrictive to what I want and how to manage the phone properly. But I bought my Note 2 in Singapore, which is why I was hesitating as most of the guides were for AT&T and other American phone companies.
I was hesitating but a friend of me referred me to a very simple clip to root with using Odin
Needless to say, I rooted the phone and was able to install the couple of applications I wanted though there were a few I still couldn't find replacements for (Market Unlocker, AdAway).
However, I find myself not being to use ROM Manager to backup and change ROMS and being different with how normal people rooted. I think it has got to do with the how I had my phone rooted.
Please advice how I can place myself in what the general public is using as it would be easier for me to configure the phone if I were to try looking for assistance in the future.
Should I unroot and root using the XDA developer suggested way (I found the clip on YouTube but it wasn't for the firmware 4.1.2, thus I hesitated) ? After rooting my phone says its firmware is 4.1.1
Actually, if someone could also answer me whether
1) I can update my phone after rooting or do I need to unroot and update and root it again ?
2) Is the furthest update for Note 2 is 4.1.2 and in order to go for further updates I need to root ?
Again, pardon my knowledge on rooting. Thanks

Please do more research before doing anything but I would question if you have a custom recovery installed? You could use GooManager on the market to install a custom recovery (Open GooManager -> menu -> "Install OpenRecoveryScript") but check your phone model number first and make sure it matches the file you are about to flash. This would enable you to work with flashing and such. Also check your model number I believe the Verizon phones have locked bootloaders and don't know if your will or not (I believe this adds steps to flashing a custom recovery.) Wish I could be of more help.
Hello everyone
I have just received a replacement LG G3 D855 after cracking the screen on my original. I used SuperSU to root my device to uninstall a load of bloatware system apps. I then tried to unroot my phone because a) Sky Go doesn't work on rooted devices and b) I wanted to update to Lollipop officially as I had done on my old device. I am also unable to reroot with SuperSU as it cannot install the binaries required.
Is anyone able to provide me with assistance in either properly unrooting, or rerooting and then installing Lollipop by other means and hiding root from Sky Go? I have searched other threads but I have no knowledge about recovery modes or flashing. I am on Three in the UK. Thanks

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go
Thank you very much that was incredibly simple - installed lollipop through the PC suite, keeping my apps without reinstalling bloatware, great!
Hello all,
Recently moved back to Android after a pretty unsuccessful stint with Windows Phone. Anyway, got the G3 (D852) for a steal but was disappointed to find some of the features of stock Android missing (multiple users, expandable notifications) from the stock ROM so wanted to go the AOSP/CM route, but I had some questions I was hoping someone could answer before I go ahead and do that.
1.) As I bought the phone new, it still has a warranty. Would flashing a custom recovery trip a counter like on some Samsung phones or can the phone be restored to full stock without the shop knowing in case I need to take it in?
2.) Are there any major bugs with CM roms? I read that there are some issues with audio recordings and camera quality. Anything else I should be aware of?
3.) Do features such as double tap to wake, the Quick Circle case, and knock code work with CM?
I think that's all for now. Thank you in advance for your help!
1) Theres a root flag checker in the service menu that detects if you have the su or busybox binary present on your device along with superuser.apk but if you download the firmware for the device and you do a full wipe using the flash tool it resets the check
3) Double tap to wake and knock code work properly with CM, Quick Circle can only be used to unlock the device unless you install a xposed module
Whats the feasibility of exchanging your D852 for a D855?
Hey, thanks for the super quick reply. Not likely I can change without paying quite the penalty so I'd prefer to just stick it out. I imagine there's not a whole lot of support for our Canadian model then? Seems strange to have a whole other version of the device just for us. :/
Hello my dear friends,
Yesterday i bought a new lg g3s. Mobile looks super cool and i've already loved it. The problem is that in store didn't tell me that the device was from "TIM" carrier and now i'm having about 30 little applications In menu and the UI looks terrible. Is it possible someone show me the threads i have to follow to install a clean version of kitkat. Like theone that mobiles comes Usually.
Thanks
Hi,
When you say little applications do you mean bloatware or distorted UI?
The process to change the Rom is easy. Just follow the tutorial for rooting and then install twrp.
If root doesn't the first time check the drivers. It gave me a hard time when i rooted
Sent from my phone
I mean that the carrier is TIM (like orange, vodafone, etc) and the UI is formed for TIM users. It has preinstall apps for them. I just want to reinstall a nice, clean kitkat without all those apps.
So the method is as always the same. Root and then install Kitkat twrp. After this can i unroot it again?
Any pro user to confirm my question. I need a finally "okidoki" to start the procedure. Please please it is critical for me to have a boost to do it!
Thanks
yes, you can unroot later
Guys last call!!! promise!
After searching for hours in xda forum and watch some youtube videos i finally found what i want to do.
My problem was the bloatware that carrier had pre-installed in the device. First i thought that the solution in this problem was to found a clean version of Kitkat 4.4.2 and flash it. Like all LG G3s (beat) devices coming without any carrier. I still want to reach that goal but i really dont know if flashing is the right way. I found an after-root software that can backup/hide or remove those apps but i fill like this is not the right way to do this.
I rooted my device from the guide in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3s-beat-d722-thread-t3110048
Now questions coming like rain!!!
1) "Patching Bootloader" is it optional? it looks like it is necessary to move to next step.
2) "Install TWRP Kitkat: Download TWRP for KK" includes the kitkat version that i am looking for (and i described previously) or it 's just a tool for flashing?
3)And finally if i manage to flash device and make it looks like a Non-Carrier device, unrooting will bring it back to "carrier mode"?
I rooted in the past windows mobile phone and i remember some things (like bootloader adjustement is necessary) but windows from androids are a bit different.

As you said you rooted the phone, you can simply install Titanium backup and feeze (better option as can be unfreezed later) / uninstall the apps you don't want. Flashing the recovery will help you flash other custom roms. So installing titanium backup will solve your problem if bloatware is only concern.
Hit thanks if I helped.
Hello everyone,
I don't know if I am violating any rules or not. I just need help in understanding the very basics of my device. I recently switched from iOS to Android, and got myself Samsung S9 (SM-G960F).
Now, the problem is, I got it from a friend who loves tinkering with OS and customization, and he did something to the phone.
Issue: I am unable to use Samsung Health app, as it says my device is rooted. However, the root checking apps, and the About device status shows its Original. I am not sure about the stuff. I need help in understanding.
I tried to boot phone into recovery mode to see if the phone OS is official or modified, it says official there.
Now, I need help in understanding all this.
Want to Know:
- How to get stock S9 firmware running? Which things I have to check and match while looking for ROMs?
- If going with Rooted ROM, how can I achieve that?
- Also, any chance I can get the new Android Pie 9.0?
Details about Device:
- I am unsure what kind of details you might need, since I don't know much about it, just ask me or point me in right direction
You have tripped KNOX, the Samsung apps such as Health will check KNOX status and see that it has been tripped and stop working
You need to read the dev threads on how to work around it, but you will likely need root again
