3.5 mm jack socket replacement P8000 - Elephone P8000

Hello
I was wanted to replace my jack socket in elephone P8000 because soldering the dry joints didn't help me. The problem is that I can't find even one dedicated socket to elephone P8000 on alieexpress. I've read that I can buy lenovo 3.5 mm jack but I have no idea which one it could be. Do u know which can match?

Same for me, soldering did solve situation for next 6 months but after that probably internal parts of jack socket are behind their lifespan, so i am still looking for new socket.

2.5" to 3.5" (With Microphone Ring)

Hi,
I am looking and have been for years! for a converter from my Prophet/Qtek S200 to 3.5". I have so far bought 3 items all of them make my 3.5" headphones have Stereo sound which is great BUT I cannot answer calls! How can I rectify this? Is there a separate Microphone and Headphone adapter that works? I bought one of these and it does not work! I am happy to plug a microphone into 1 socket and have headphones in the other.
I am very surprised as long as these phones have now been on the market that no-one has thought to design such a simple device.
Before anyone says that I could solder one together don't! I am not that way inclined!
I am hoping that the answer to this will help many people in my predicament......
Thanks for reading/helping.
Kind Regards,
Will
Hello,
I use this one in my car. It has a microphone built in, a button to answer call, and 3.5 mm stereo socket. It works with the Prophet. Just ping me if you have more questions.

Changing the 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm
Is there any possible way to physically change the 2.5 mm to a 3.5 mm socket jack. I think the 3.5 is better and more standardized than the 2.5 mm. My prophet has a loose socket.
You toughts...
In theory... You'd need to solder it down, and would need a 3.5mm socket that would fit in with the casings. From what I know, they tend to be larger than that.

3.5mm Headphone Jack - Possible Future Problem?

Hi,
In the past I always had one common problem with my previous phones (palm treo's) and that is with the 3.5mm jack. Apparently I found out that this is a hardware issue by fixing it myself. The metal (copper, apparently malleable) that's supposed to bend back to its original position whenever you disconnect your 3.5mm plug never did. So I bent it back and it fixed everything. Of course it voided my warranty but at least I didn't have to wait for weeks.
Right now I'm thinking twice about plugging in headphones on my desire. I'm not sure if it got the same old crap inside. Maybe someone here knows if the headphone jack is now dependable?
Thanks!
I've opened my phone to fix some buttons and i got to say...the headphone jack just looks pretty standard to me...

[Q] Nexus 7 - Very Flaky Headphone Jack

For the past few months, the headphone jack has gotten more and more flaky, to the point that I have to press down on the jack to receive sound. Does anyone know of a DIY fix? Its not the headphones themselves, as it has this problem with every pair I've tried.

I've had it happen with another Asus model. The solder cracked and the tiny traces broke, resulting in bad connections. What you can do is check continuity between the jack and the circuit. Tedious work, but if you're game, you need a 3.5 mm jack with exposed wires. Trace those wires to the connecting points on the motherboard.
If everything is good, then 2 possibilities: (1) the connecting points inside the female jack (soldered to the motherboard) are worn, causing intermittent contact, in which case you need to replace it. If you can't find one, let me know.
(2) If the problem persists, but varies depending on how much pressure you put on the headphones jack, then maybe it's just dirty. Best is to use high-grade alcohol (91% or more) and clean the inside with a q-tip with less cotton; plus use a toothpick with double-sided tape at one end and swirl inside the female jack to remove impurities and dirt. Good luck.

Thanks. I had a feeling it might just be dirty, but I wanted to know if anyone had any alternative solutions if that didn't work.

Earphone jack keeps popping out?

Not sure if this is a problem with the particular earbuds I'm using or if this is a common problem. I've already when through cleaning the jack with q-tips and alcohol. I'm using the Sony Earbuds (20 buds). It seems the jack is easy to lose connection and then I have to push it back in with my hand. My fear is that eventually the port will just go bad or become loose.

I have had the same problem for 1.5 years. It has gotten progressively worse and now I just have to use bluetooth earbuds unless I want to hold the earbuds in all the time. I've not seen any fixes available. This must be a common build quality issue.

You are not the only one with this problem I've had 3 of the HTC desire 816 but there is a way to fix it the metal prongs on the inside start to lose there spring I found the best way to fix it is to open the phone remove the motherboard and inspect the jack and see if its the soder or the prongs on the inside hope this helps
Yes I have HTC Desire 816 and headphone plug does pop out. If you have acquired great condition HTC Desire 816, I recommend only using a headphone with a plug that firmly clicks into the jack, or get a small male to female 3.5mm 1/8 inch TRS (TRRS for microphone) adapter from a retailer near you.

3.5mm Jack Problem

Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the jack.. ( OnePlus 3 OxygenOS 5.0.1 )
Earlier functioned jack normally, but now when I plug my headphones, it only plays left earpiece
And when i plug stereo jack from my home theather , jack working NOT. I tried more stereo jacks and headsets and same issue.
Solution ?
1/ Other ROM
2/ Jack is broken - buy new jack flex board from ebay, ali and replace it
3/ Phone is in warranty, write on support.
4/ Someone reduction
Do you have any solutions ?
Thank you.
Either every cable in your home is faulty or your jack is broken. First check if there is something stuck in there somewhere (dirt? a little pocket dirt thingy the ones that look like tiny balls I don't know what they're called) then if there is nothing you should consider sending the device to OnePlus to get a replacement or a repair (probably a repair). You could try to do it yourself and it's very easy to do but I wouldn't recommend it because it's very easy to damage other things while trying to fix a thing.

As the other member pointed out, it may be a simple matter of lint inside the jack. Blow air forcefully and try to remove it. If it doesn't solve the problem, I would not advice opening it since the phone is under warranty. Contact OP3 for RMA.
