How did you connect it? Try this to get notifications to come through:
- goto device maintenance
- battery
- turn off app power monitor

[Q] Problem with Viber / Skype disconnecting

Hi guys,
We have a Sony Xperia M and for unknown reasons both Viber and Skype disconnect when not in use. I mean, the programs work fin and while you use them your status shows "connected / online", but once you go to the main screen of the phone after a while they switch to "connected last time at... / offline". So, noone can call you or send you messages, until you open the program again.
The 3G data is enabled. The problem exists while connected to wifi too.
Any help?
Have you got power saver enabled

yeah, now disabled and see how it goes, thanks
The power saver cuts all background activity for network and only allows calls or texts to come through

You can whitelist them but having them on constantly defeats the whole point of the powersaver anyway.

"Bouncing" notification drawer bug

This video shows it all
https://gfycat.com/KaleidoscopicFrighteningEasternnewt
The bottom of the notification drawer keeps bouncing endlessly. It's been going on for the last couple of days and happens whether or not I have a persistent notification pinned to the bottom. I've uninstalled all recent apps, worried one of them may have been the culprit. Restarted the phone several times. Can't think of what else to do to diagnose or stop it, other than a factory reset.

Does it happen with your case off?
Well this is convenient. The issue seems to have stopped happening this morning...
What would the case have had to do with it though?

The bounce is back, and yes it also happens with the case off.

Can you stop it by touching the screen?

Pixel XL Blue Light Filter

Does the Pixel / XL come with a built in blue light filter feature or something like it or will we have to install a 3rd party app to get it?

I believe it will be hidden in the System UI Tuner like it is in the 6P - so no 3rd party app, but not as straightforward as on other devices (like the Note 7 - RIP).
I have read from a few places that the Pixel will be getting Night Light but can't really find any info on it.

Do you mean night mode ,if so I have it in my Nexus 6p using a app and tweaking system UI

It is supposed to be built into 7.1 (which Pixel/XL come with).
See here.
Here is pertinent info from above: All devices running 7.1 will receive Night Light (a blue light filter)
I confirm, it's part of Android 7.1 and it's called Night Light. (and available in the Display settings, not hidden in any way).

Be sure to read the updates to that article, as it posts a workaround using adb. Hopefully Google fixes this
I have an app that basically acts like a podcaster that I always listen to - primarily in the car. When I get down the road OR when I sit at my desk on home wifi, after a couple of minutes, the broadcast stops. It acts very much like sleep is killing the reception. Is anyone seeing this with both wifi and ota? Thanks.

Drop down notification problem

S20 Ultra exynos version
The swipe down notification for home screen is on, but it doesnt work after reboot?
To fix this would need to turn it off, reboot then turn it back on for it to work.
Anyone else with this problem?

If you are using Nice(GoodLock), then switch off or uninstall taskchanger. Had the same problem, uninstalled and works as it should be
