I would donate 50€ for a solution to this.

Good morning,
me too i need to use this device with support external sd card (mode ums - mass storage).
I use USB enabler and GS Mass Storage app, but my computer see this device as cd-rom, not as usb mass storage drive.
My device is ms-a320 FL nougat on board.
Thanks for any suggestion

Putting music on the SD Card..

Is the only way through Samsung Kies? Whenever I try to drag and drop music on my SD Card it doesn't allow me to do when it is normally connected via USB. I would use Samsung Kies but I don't like the syncing and interface in general. With my Vibrant I was able to freely drag and drop music without any problems. Is there anyway to that on the S III? Thanks!
that's weird, I could easily drag and drop with no problems
Really? Hmm..I can drag it to the internal space, but for some reason it won't let me drag it onto my SD Card. It worked perfectly fine on my Vibrant though.
You can always use FTPServer app to connect your computer to your phone and transfer music that way.
I used windows explorer... make sure your phone isn't locked? (Screen on)
Use a SD card adapter. Or, you can try the app EasyUMS which allows your SD card to run as USB Mass Storage for quick transferring instead of the regular MTP connection.

Yeah I guess the SD Card Adapter is the best way to access my external storage. Anyone know how to make it work on internal storage though like editing files? It won't let me edit the like the properties of my music, lol.
You stock or custom rom?

I am on the stock ROM.

usb? connecting an android to a pc with physical cables? *sputter
in the immortal words of Scotty in IV, "a keyboard! how quaint"
use networking man!
on the pc ... "share" the drives/folders you usually access
download an app like ES File Explorer on your phone
access your pc files over your wifi in ES file explorer LAN section .. edit to login as if logging into your windoze
I am using the 5GHz band of My WiFi router.. which means I am transferring files between My pc and phone at speeds between 80-150Mbps :good:

I use poweramp and only set up the one folder on my external card.
What exactly happens when you try to drag-and-drop?
I am also using the stock ROM and it works for me, just tried it again to make sure. Do you have other things on the external card already ? Could the format be a possible issue ?

Dear Friend,
Problem is in copying from phone memory to PC and PC to phone Memory not from SD card and formatting SD card is impossible as it is not getting detected.

Recover eMMC data from Galaxy S III

My Galaxy SIII is stuck in a boot screen loop that loads the tmobile image then reboots. All data is on internal memory so I know it isn't as simple as pulling out an SD card although some have mentioned there may be a way to mount the eMMC and read it like an SD card. I just don't know how. My goal is to recover any pictures off of the internal memory. I've tried connecting by usb to my computer in an attempt to mount the internal storage but I guess it doesn't get far enough in the boot process to allow me to read data. I'm not shy from a hardware perspective so I'm willing to try any options. I've also seen what I guess is the JTAG header mounted on the board but I would have to purchase an interface board if this is my only option.
Remove and reinsert the battery. If it tries to turn on by itself you have a faulty power button.

Is the phone rooted and have you manually power on into recovery to flash cash also you mentioned hooking to a computer you could try to repair with kies other than that I would probably download a copy of the system partition and flash it with Odin from download mode as long as you don't delete the data partition we should keep all your files

if its the same as the Galaxy Note it's hold power menu volume up to ente recovery

Marshmallow sd card write access

Even though I give "permission" to apps to write on sd card (by using "Select" option), my apps, including the in-built camera app cannot write to the card. Any solution?

Unrooted system. While trying to diagnose the problem, I found that my card has suddenly become read only, I can't even format the card. I tried on Android as well as on windows. Also tried SD Formatter. One of the site says to use diskpart and then use "attributes disk clear readonly". Let me see if it works.
Any other solution, please let me know.
On the Sandisk website it was written that the card automatically becomes read only when it is about to become defective - so probably that's what happened here. This is bad, I have sensitive personal info which I don't want to give to Sandisk, but I will need to give the card to Sandisk if I want a replacement Any solution?
