Wanted: Wireless Car Charger - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Accessories

Is there any nice wireless car charger on the market for S8+?
Looking for one that's hold my phone for Google maps and so on and has the ability to fast charge my phone.
Any recommendations from you guys out there?

Did you search the thread before asking this question? There's a number of threads in this thread.

Yes I searched before I asked my questions. And I didn't find any solution I these threads about my question.
Im not looking for just a wireless charger, I'm looking for a car mount with wireless charger included in it.

There are plenty of wireless chargers on the market. What you're looking for hasn't been asked for here. Suggestion: try a google search and see what others are recommending. YMMV.

I own this one and it does not charge when the screen is on while using Google Maps/Waze. It keeps just enough power flowing for the battery not to go down, however. So as long as you have a full battery, this works great. Worthless if you want to use Maps and charge a drained battery.

The one on Amazon... That second link doesn't work for me...

if you cannot OPEN the link
here you are : search "CHOETECH 3 Coils Qi " on https://www.aliexpress.com. Seems free shipping to N America
under Home > All Categories > Cellphones & Telecommunications > Mobile Phone Accessories > Mobile Phone Chargers

As the S8+ doesn't fast charge with the screen on, it's pretty much a bust. In the past I've rigged a wireless charging pad to a proclip universal charging pad, and it worked great. with my Note 5 and S7 Edge. Using the same charger and apps, the S8+ slowly loses charge (Waze, screen always on, and Spotify streaming). It was a slow drain, and would probably be fine with just Waze, but the full monty was too much for it to handle. Very depressing.
But, as I'm now using Android Auto, wireless charging in the car just isn't as important anyway. So I took my proclip mount and used Sugru to build the USB-C cable into the proclip. I just slide it into the proclip and bang, connected to AA and charges. Not fast charge, but the car puts out enough juice to gain at least 10% per hour with the above activities. Screen being off helps tons I bet.

Faster charging times

Just posted this in another forum. Heres the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19994949#post19994949
So you charged the note with it in one hour?
Isn't there a limitation on the current the charger outputs while charging?
I didn't charge the Note. I originally posted this in another section for another phone model if you follow the link. I posted the thread here cause Note owners would get benefits from this charger in quicker times. I do like this one better than Apples 2A charger. Hp's is sleeker, compact and comes with a 5ft cable.

Thanks for the info. Just found it on Amazon for $9.88.
Every phone charges slowly from PC USB port, right?
Do you think this would be safe? It's a cable that is designed for portable hard drives, to give them enough power. Maybe it would give the phone too much amperage (?)
My quick research finds that a typical PC USB port (and for sure Mac) has 500 mA power, so if you used this cable with two inputs, you'd be giving the Note 1000 mA which is basically like the wall charger, so it should be safe. What do you think?
I've used it for 4 full charges and the battery stays cool but charges fast. No problems to date. It's been a great find.
Well, i have been using the charger that came with my Galaxy tab wich is 2 amp, since atday one.
No problem at all. It charges in little more than an hour.
I also have been doing this for more than a year with mi exiphone and the charger from the Ipad.
Maybe in the long run the battery life suffers, but i haven't seen anything like that. And honestly, waiting two and a half hours to get the phone charged via regular charger and ready to go me is not an option.
Going to order one right now and give it a try.
Does anyone know of any car chargers that can charge at about the same speed?

I installed the Battery Monitor Widget. It says Techno: Li-ion 1500/1500mAh. This is obviously incorrect for the Note. So can anything it says about the Note's battery be of any use?

Do the Apple 2A chargers for the iPad work for "fast charging" the Note? I know when I bought one in the hopes of fast charging my Galaxy S it didn't work. The Galaxy S just recognizes it as a regular USB charger. No matter which USB cable I use (even the OEM Samsung that came with the GalaxyS)
The charger I bought was this one from Macally, the CARUSB10 and it does not work for fast charging:
http://www.macally.com/en/Product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=332
However, if I use my Samsung AC wall charger or my Wife's car charger for her Blackberry it is recognized as a "AC" charger and I get the good charging speed.

That amperage is an estimate. I guess what is more interesting the time between percentages.

I have used a 2A Iphone charger without any problem. Same charger didn't work for my previous Galaxy Tab 7".

Neat!!
So, the Apple fast chargers now "fast charge" with the newer Samsung devices?

It doesn't work like that. The phone will only draw as much current as it needs. You only need to make sure the output voltage is correct (which it will be for any charger with a USB port.)
the link i posted is 5v, 1 a
exaclty what the wall charger uses
so the OP would love it
The latest reviews on the above linked Belkin charger are horrible. It's almost as if it is for older phones. I'd personally look for a different charger. At least read the reviews before buying so you know what you are getting.

This is the same issue with HTC phones, when you charge via USB DC, it goes into a different charging mode and doesn't feed the phone the full 1amp it needs to feed the battery sucking GPS radio.
This mod lets you convert a DC USB charger to trick the phone into thinking it's an AC USB charger.
You need a 1 amp charger to do this.

It's good imo. Yes it does, none of that discharge, charge again crap. I got my charger from amazon. I wouldn't say it's a huge negative per say, but on mine the glass isn't fully flush (and I mean you would not notice unless you put it to your eye and REALLY look). But still works fine so meh.
I got the official nexus charger and official nexus 5 case from google. Works great. Stays fully charged and its great when going to bed and just setting my phone on the nightstand to charge. Less chance for damaging micro usb also. The wireless charger and unlocked boot loader were what made me make the switch from my s4.

As for the Official Wireless charger. I love it about 10 times more than all of the generics unmoddified. Just love coming home and putting my charger on the pad until it 'locks' in place. It tops off and is nice build quality. Even the ones that are stand base I couldn't get right that easily.

My only complaint about it is that it can be tough to get the device lined up to charge if you have a case on the phone. Without a case it lines up pretty easily because of the magnets, but with a case on (even a thin TPU case) you have to make sure you're positioning it correctly because the magnets barely grab it.
it even works with my cruzerlite bumper.
this even has the advantage, that the magnetic effect isnt that strong so that it doesnt always almost rip off the charger of my desk
Love mine. I barely use the stock charger anymore. It's so easy to grab the phone on the go especially for a phone call.

Mine works great. It keeps the 100% charge, no problem. You can get them from Amazon too, that's where I got mine. Mine is also mounted vertically on the side of my nightstand and has stayed in place perfectly now for about a month. Honestly, when I tug at the charger plate, I don't think it'll be easy to remove...

Qi-infinity™ Portable Wireless Charger Power Bank 4000 mAh

So far I am able to get about 8-10 hours of use off my Moto 360 with these settings: (brightness 4 and ambient screen on). I just purchased one of these to help with the battery of the watch. I will be able to charge the watch if I need to when I am out. It will also work to charge my phone so that should come in handy.
Someone should make a super small qi charger for all the qi enabled watches coming out. Maybe 750 MaH or something to give it a full recharge and then have a little extra.
Kinda like Motorola's little key chain thing, but qi
I dig the magnetic Qi charger idea for the iWatch... Why don't more companies play with magnets? It should be magnetic too. I would buy it.

The answer is governed by Ohm's Law
Current draw is regulated by the device not the power source. Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference across the two points.
If you think about mains electricity, you can plug in a high current device like a kettle or heater to the same socket you plug in a low current device such as a phone PSU.
HTH.
I'd love to find a qi-enabled battery pack like this that has embedded magnets, so I can just stick my Nexus 5 to it, and put it in my pocket. True charging on the go. As it is, I either have to deal with a cable that I'm afraid I'm going to bend/break while I'm moving around, or use rubber bands or something to keep the my phone attached to the charger. Anyone find one?

I'll maybe post exact times as phone is still pretty new with a month charge cycles via dock and plug on its own

Jeah magnetic charging also works with Quickcharge but the output is a bit less than with conventional micro usb cable.
I bought the aukey from amazon.fr. £12 delivered to the uk. Very impressive. Well built and quick
Easy and expensive (29.99 euro, shipping included):
