Hello,
I installed an app called "Arduino accelerometer OTG USB" from the play store to read out the accelerometer of my phone and send it to the arduino board. Unfortunately, right after the app got installed an error message with a progress bar occured. It says that there is no active sim card and that the device will reboot to check for an active one. Sometimes, the whole process repeats after the reboot. Otherwise there is just the notification that no sim card is inserted into the phone. Strangely, in rare cases, the sim card gets detected and it's possible to make phone calls.
What i've already tried:
-checking the phone for malware
-turning on and off airplane mode
-clearing the cache via settings/storage/cached data
-rebooting the phone in safe mode
-a factory reset
-inserting a paper in the sim card slot to provide a better connection
-trying other sim cards in my Lg g3 (the sim card works perfectly on other devices)
None of them worked.
Thank you for any piece of advice.

Hi , on my note n7105 my phone suddenly stopped recognizing my sim. It keeps saying 'No Sim, insert sim card" despite the sim card working ( i tested it on another phone)
My phone shows network bars despite it saying i have no sim card inserted. When i have remove the sim card, my phone still says i have network signal. My phone is rooted but running stock rom 4.3 . I have tried factory reset and it is still not working.
How could this happen suddenly? I have not dropped my phone recently or anything.
Hi. I've got weird problem. Coincidentally, I updated my OP3 to OxygenOS 5.0.1 and at the same day i changed my mobile operator (so my sim card too, of course). Since that day i have got very weird problem. After reboot my phone doesn't recognize my sim card anymore (just like any sim card wouldn't be inside phone). This is happening once in a few reboots. One of the problem solutions is another reboot (But this doesn't always fix my issue). Another solution is to put out sim card nad put it inside phone again. I don't know is it problem of:
1) Phone hardware
2) Update
3) Faulty new sim card
Is anyone having similiar problem after update ?
Hello guys, I'm having a bit of a head-scratcher here. My G3 detects the sim card only after factory reset - any boot after that (whether it's rebooted by me or just the battery dies doesn't matter) and it says no sim card detected. I've tried holding the card down with my finger while booting as some people suggested, i've tried pushing a piece of paper over it to make better contact between the card and the contacts, but to no avail. What makes the least sense to me - It always works after a factory reset, just as long as You don't reboot the phone. The phone is not rooted, has stock rom, never been tampered with in any way. Any ideas how I can fix it?
Had phone for a few days before rooting and my sim card worked flawlessly. I rooted and a about half and hour - an hour later, all of a sudden my sim card stopped working, as in, the phone didn't detect that there was anything in the sim slot, at all. I tried rebooting and then it worked again for a bit. But then I noticed that it stopped working, again. This time the problem wasn't fixed after rebooting, I tried shutting it down, moving it to the secondary sim card slot, etc ,etc. But the problem managed to fix itself after I shut the phone down completely, removed the sim card, put it in my old phone, put it back into the g30 and start up again. Not sure if taking those specific steps caused my sim card to start working again but as I'm writing this now my sim card is working properly (4G, Volte, etc) but I am pretty sure its going to fail again. I'm not sure if this is because of root or just a coincidence but if it happens again ill unroot and see what happens. Weird glitch. I had Viper4android and magiskhide props config installed. but I doubt that's the purpose because after disabling both of them and restarting my phone still didn't detect a sim card.
Any suggestions??
EDIT: I am now monitoring my device with log cat to see what happens specifically if/when my sim card messes up again.
EDIT 2: been almost 4 days now and haven't had a problem since. Probably just a one time bug in the phone, no issues.
I've pretty much have had root on my G30 since i got and never had any issues with the SIM card. That's an odd issue.
Same here. Getting Magisk in the ramdisk was the second thing I did to this phone and the SIM is fine.
My mobile is acting weird lately. The sim cards automatically gets disconnected (no service) although the sim card is still being detected.
After a while the data on the sim works but volte stops working, ie i cant make calls but can use the mobile data.
restarting the phone fixes it but it again starts to happen?
Things ive tried,
1.Tried flashing the stock firmware (India, Europe and Global)
2.Gotten the sim card slots replaced @ service centre
Somebody Help!!
Replace the sim card? Usual suspect... handle like a stick of ram. They can be damaged by ESD and the failures can be unpredictable if so.
i have the same thing.
Using an Mi5 right now with the latest LineageOS ROM, and most of the time the sim card is completley disconnected, and i need to reboot the phone, and then it asks me again for the SIMCARD pin, but sometimes i need to reboot 2-3 times until i get the message to enter my simcard pin.
