FlipFonts Not Working - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, A7 (2017) Questions & Answe

Has anyone been able to get fonts to work on marshmallow without root? All downloaded fonts are not compatible. I've looked through here and other places and haven't been able to find a solution.

[REQ] TouchWiz Clock/Alarm/Timer for ICS

Could someone please post the APK for Samsungs Clock/Alarm/Timer-package for ICS? Or for Gingerbread, it it works okay. I'm running clockworkx CM9 and the only thing I miss is the conveniently bundled clock-app from TW.
Help would be much appreciated!
So please find attached (from LPB).
Cheers
Toscha
Doesn't want to install I'm afraid (LP6). Thanks for trying to help though
Bump, any luck with getting samsung clock apk to work on cm9?
I've found this, but it is for Galaxy Nexus and it has very large fonts. If anyone knows how to resize it, here is the link...

thanks for the help
but didnt install on LP7, using Resurrection Remix ICS v. 1.1
have you guys tried copying the apk files to system/app ?
copying files to system/apk will not work on AOSP roms because it requires samsung specifc framework
Edit: for people still interested, kage00 has a made an apk that seems to work, and here's a list of bugs .

It's such a pity this does not work on Cyanogenmod 11. I get force close all the time and the alarm does not work when the phone is locked

Xposed framework

does anyone know Xposed framework works with this phone?
if so, can anyone kindly guide me to it?
thank you!
no clue if it works or not, but the thread is here..

I've tried just the other night. It's a no-go. From some researching, I found that the ARM.zip that you need to flash doesn't play nice with TouchWiz...
Just another reason to hate it.

The system is probably looking for a flag inside the installed font's apk file or something like that. It is probably checking to see what version the fonts/apk file was built for and if it isn't MM then it won't allow it. You could either try patching the installed font apk yourself, or ask the developer of the font to upgrade it to support MM. This is a normal thing for us developers, we normally have to release a new version of an app for it to work on the next version of android.

I'm sorry for the response years later. But not sure why I never got a notice about your response. I want to thank you.

Google NFC smart lock removed

Hello,
As some of you are already aware, google has removed NFC from it's smart locking capabilities.
More info here
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/72tj6u/psa_google_have_quietly_removed_nfc_smart_unlock/
Has anyone got any work arounds or knows or any mods to get this back or something similar ?

I have found a workaround, though it requires root and manually editing a preferences file.

Changing all of the system fonts?

I'm in search of a way to change all of the fonts in the phone. The stock way to change the fonts is not complete. I'm rooted.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.font.installer
I haven't played with fonts in a while, but I used to use this. Thinking about it now, I'm going to re-install it
It has been years since he has developed anything.
The last time I tried to use that app it only changed a few of the fonts, similar to what is already in my bootleggers ROM.
Any other ideas?
Edit: this one is supported.

The last update for the app was on December 10, 2018, so yes, he's still supporting it.
His toolbox app though, he has stopped updating.
Because you're rooted....
the best way to do what I'm fairly certain this is what you're seeking is via the method/fonts that can be found in this thread (HERE) that is in the theme/apps/mods section of this forum...
I personally have changed the font throughout my phone to my all time favorite, Tahoma...
Hope this helps...
There are a lot of magisk modules with different fonts in the repo and subforum. They apply system-wide.
