Desire, S-off, with cyanogen 7.1.
Problem:
Whenever my phone touch internet, get in to bootloop. Then vibrate 7 times and stuck with HTC logo. Then I pull out batery, let phone on cold few minutes and then works normally calls, messages..(without internet).
I tried next:
unroot, s-on, RUU, then again, S-OFF, root, other custom roms...And nothing.
When wiFi is on, withot connection to my router, it scans normaly and work fine.

have you done a full wipe as well, including wiping dalvik cache? and tried another sd-card?
if yes, i'm sorry to say this, but it seems your phone is suffering from some serious hardware-related problem. if it's the same issue with more than two completely different softwares, chances are best that it's got nothing to do with software. in that case you'll have to send in your handset for repair.
Yes, I had, even the battery stats
even when is in hboot mode, when I try to enter recovery, I can't, instead the recovery I get HTC logo and 7 times vibrate... the again, pull out battery, put phone on cold, and then works just fine (get recovery, calls...)
There is something else, when I get phone (it was used), uTorrent recognized phone as HTC Aria??
it's another indication for a hardware problem that you have to cool down the phone before getting it to work again. i'm afraid your phone is not in order.
the wrong utorrent-recognization doesn't probably have anything to do with the issue and is most likely not a real problem.
Hi,
did you try to revert the phone to the stock ROM?
I had similar problems with the stock ROM, after a couple of months of negotiating with HTC support I got the motherboard changed (for free) and it fixed all my overheating problems.
I would try to S-OFF, UN-unrevoke and have the phone checked by them because it looks like an hardware problem.
Bye bye,
ildanish
Returned to seller. Please lock.
I need some help. I have a stock unrooted ATT device. Every time i turn on the wifi it goes on a bootloop, but when the wifi is off its fine. I tried to soft and hard reset but no luck. Any suggestions?
I had the phone for about a month now, i bought it on ebay it stated it was New, i check and it is still locked S-On.
But just randomly it started to crash and reboot. I tried all the basic steps, remove apps but every time it reboots it reloads everything back on it.
I tried both hard reset and factory reset both did not work. I'm noticing that i cant turn off fast boot because once it crashes and reboots, all the setting and apps go back to the way it was. Now I'm trying to root it to see if that would cure the problem and thinking possibly an update got corrupted or something and i know once you root it, it will erase all internal data.
While trying to root it, i got all the way to loading the bootloader and once i selected yes to unlock bootloader, it restarted but nothing happened it went back to the way it was. I've tried to delete/erase my data and cache through windows command but keeps saying it failed. Also now i cant start the bootloader over again.
Any ideas what i can try or do? is there an Hboot loader since I'm not able to turn off the fast boot in the setting?
I'm very new to rooting but catching on quickly.

Hi all, thanks for your help in advance
Nexus 5X 32GB previously on 6.0.1 MMB29K I believe, rooted and unlocked, was running xposed and decrypted. It was running just fine until a few weeks ago, where right in front of my eyes while I was using it, it crashed and shut off (battery saver was on too). Then it wouldn't turn on for a day or two no matter how long I pressed the phone's keys.
Now when I boot it without sim card, it will freeze during the boot animation and then either shut off or try again. When I try with sim card in, it appears the kernel crashes with the Crash on the LK! screen. Without sim, I can access fastboot and recovery just fine (previously that was also hit or miss). I have manually flashed stock everything, and it hasn't been fixed (also tried reset via stock recovery). I might have a backup but it would be on my school computer and I'm not back to uni yet.
Any ideas for what I can do to try and fix it? Can I relock my 5X in this state without bricking it? Then I could get a warranty replacement I believe?
