Help un-softbricking my MS428 - LG K10 Questions & Answers

I was following a guide on how to root my phone, and didn't realize I needed to downgrade my phone until it was too late, now I can't flash my phone with any version and when I try LGUP says "Secure device, but unsecure image". I have tried using LG Bridge and update error recovery, but no dice. Been trying for 2 days on this, and now I could really use some help.
Edit: Seems I fixed my issue. Used Uppercut to flash the image, and boom now I downgraded.

10e update for H815 SEA .... problem installing

I'm trying to install the 10e update for the SEA version of H815 (over 10d which I rooted using this method). I defrosted any apps I froze in TB, did a full unroot in super SU, restored my pre-rooted image and did the OTA. The OTA failed to install giving an error code of 1123004. Then when it rebooted into android it said updates were not available due to suspected rooting.
I never had Xposed installed, and the only other thing I can think of is that I modified build.prop to enable write access to the external SD card. I'm re-installing the rooted image so I can revert that ...... but can anybody think of any other reason why this update might be failing to install on my phone? (incase this build.prop modification isn't it that is)
EDIT : oops, sorry. not build.prop .... platform.xml
EDIT x 2 : well, that wasnt it .... the change had been overwritten already. I assume it was by the flashing of my pre-rooted image - makes sense. Back to the drawing board - (or digging up kdz files)
If you type 277634#*# in the dailer, you'll get into a hidden menu. Poke around and there will be something that states whether root has been detected. Can't tell you how to get there, I'm on Marshmallow now and that doesn't have that hidden menu, at least not with 277634#*#.
If root was detected, you can still update but you'll have to use LG bridge on a Windows PC. And reroot.
I'm having almost the same problem on VS986, I can still try to update after reboot. Rooting is setting a flag on the device somewhere.
I don't know why they're blocking the update after unrooting besides just being spiteful.

Root and KDZ help.

I got my lg g4 yesterday and tried to root it using the little effort root and it didn't work. When it rebooted I the screen that says booting failed etc etc with the LG logo on it and it cut off. So I tried to kdz it back and I guess I chose the wrong KDZ and it just completely blacked out. Luckily they gave me another 1 (told them it wouldn't cut on after going dead) so I want to try rooting it again but I want to know which software version am I? In my settings it says vs98611A but under my battery it says vs986B. Which 1 is my kdz? And is there any other way to root this phone?

Worked for me on 13B.
Suggest you update to 13B using LGUP PC tool and 13B KDZ, then try rooting again with link posted.
How do I know that I'm not already on 13 b? This is all new to me
Settings - About phone - Software info - Software version.
Ok I see. I think what happened last time was I was on 13b and flashed a 11a kdz and that bricked my phone

Seriously need help Twrp Soft Bricked my phone

@ day ago I set off on a journey to root my phone so I could get xposed to work with pokemon go. I Followed a couple guides and every site stated that you need Twrp. The thing is im running marshmallow on the D850 and any time I try to boot my phone in recovery I get "boot verification failed" and get a black screen with the notification flashing and this even prevents me from even doing a factory reset. From lurking the forums i've learned that the best way to fix is to flash back to an older version of android but most of these guides seen old and out dated and I cant seem to find a kdz for the D850 . Thank you and your help will be very much appreciated.

If you dont find an mm kdz jut flash a lolipop kdz by using lg up....
The only way to go back to stock firmware on D850 is to flash a tot file using LG Flash tool (as no other method is currently available).
You can follow this guide for that purpose

Help save a bricked lg g3

:crying:
My issues is quite complicated. Please be patient and read on.
Less than a week ago, I bought an LG G3 D855. It wasn't brand new and definitely out of warranty.
It was on the 4.4.2 Os version but I couldn't update it because I couldn't locate the UPDATE CENTER and after some research online, I found out it was because it was rooted. I couldn't find a Supersu application anywhere on the phone anyways but Root checker confirmed that it was rooted.
I downloaded the stock kitkat firmware in a .tot format and I tried flashing using LG Flash Tool for TOT but it failed because "Device version is different"
I checked the Imei online and it stated that the device is a Sprint LS990 but the details embedded in the phone all say it is D855
I checked online and found a couple of posts about this error and one user said he was able to fix it by flashing the actual Sprint .tot with the lg flash tool. I tried that but it didn't work. It still said "Device version is different. Check BIN or dll"
I checked online and found results pointing to a generic .dll file for G3s and I downloaded it but when I used it on the Flash tool, it resulted to an error "CrossDL blah blah"
So I found a Marshmallow kdz file. LGUP won't see my device model so I was able to flash it after editting the software in my build.prop to D85510n.
***I have always changed the port to COM41 in all the steps I used
The LG UP detected my model and it flashed to 100% but got stuck on a bootloop by loading the lg screen, freezing and restarting by it self. It never gets to the homescreen.
I downloaded lollipop kdz reflashed using LGUP in a form of downgrade and it got to 100% and got stuck at the lg screen while trying to reboot.
I redownloaded the stock kitkat rom and used the Lg flash tool but it failed. It said 'PID null IMEI Null"
I used LGUP to reflashed. It came to my understanding that the LGUP can flash both kdz and tot. So it flashed to 100% but got stuck at the lg screen and I have tried all I can but it is stuck. It can go into download tho. I don't know what to do about the IMEI. I don't know if the last flash retrieved it. I don't kniw what to do.
It no longer shows as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial
Please can anyone help me?
I just need my phone to work again. I was stubborn and now I regret it. I should have just stuck to kitkat. I'm so desperate to get my phone working that I wouldn't mind Android Froyo Os if it was ever possible.
PLEASE HELP!!!
I think you have to repair the IMEI...
maybe this can help

I think that he forgot to hard reset after flashing the kdz.
i completly know what you should do:
1: force your phone into qualcomm 9008 mod.
2: use board diag unbrick instruction and it will boot on download mod. for unbrick you will need best kitkat tot for your G3 model.
3: flash best lollipop or kitkat tot to make your phone alive
and then flash it with any kdz you want(it should be for your G3 model)

pls help me
Apparently, it seems my bricked phone keeps disconnecting during flashing process. I dont think it the fault of the cable because I have used different ones and they all seem to work fine with other phones. I have tried a different computer and still the same results. it connects as qualcom 9008 but once I try to start flashing, it disconnects and interrupts the flashing process. my phone just shows a grey screen now when I power it up with the battery in. also, I was trying to upgrade from linear os to the latest linear os. I cant fine the tot out there so im using zv6 currently. could this also be the problem? thanks in advance

Frankenstein F500L with ARB 20 and Non-USU Unlocked Bootloader

Hello everyone!
First of all - thanks to steadfasterX for unlocking the LG G4
PLEASE! DON'T TRY ANYTHING BELOW ON YOUR LG G4.
YOU MIGHT BRICK IT PRIOR IT NOT EVEN GOING TO QDLoader ANYMORE.
THE SOLUTIONS ABOVE IS ONLY LIMITED TO MY PARTICULAR MOTHERBOARD,
OR PERHAPS OTHER REFURBISHED MOTHERBOARDS
WHICH ARE F500L's WITH H811 FIRMWARE ON THEM.

Purchased the H811 motherboard from Aliexpress as they are pretty cheap now ($ 27). I chose H811, as it allows you to unlock the bootloader without a hassle!
Installed it and it booted up right away and it worked flawlessly except for the fact that the camera's autofocus or manual focus didn't work for some reason.
Then I went to About Phone and, to my surprise, was running an old version of Android 5.1. I decided to update it through the settings, but it refused, saying that the phone was already updated and did not need to be updated. I already had a suspicion because phones that behave this way are usually software modified. SO ... I still flashed the H811 KDZ using LGUP and .. as I thought, the phone did not boot.
After going through the pain of disabling Windows Signature Verification and installing the correct QCOM drivers, opened QFIL, loaded the Mohd Saqib 8992 firehose and XML, and when finished, the phone booted, but with a SecureBoot warning in the top left corner. As soon as it booted into Android, I was greeted with a setup menu, no cellular service, and LG VPN ANR. After going through the setup, I decided to start the camera and got slammed with another ANR. I loaded OpenCamera and that didn't work either. So I knew that this is some kind of a driver conflict or incompatibility.
I took out the motherboard and the place where the model was written was covered with some kind of sticker. (First.jpg). The sticker was so crazy glued on there that I had to use the tip of a soldering iron to soften the glue, and it's a Korean F500L. (Second.jpg).
Loaded mAid, opened SALT, and OMG! ARB of 20! (Third.png) Still, gave it a chance and downloaded F500L20p firmware, edited LG-F500L to LG-H811 using Hex Editor, and it flashed through. Obviously, It ended up in QCOM bootloader mode again. Flashed FireHose through QFIL, it turned on with the same SecureBoot error in the upper left corner. Once booted into Full Korean Android and to my surprise, there were no ANRs. Plugged in my personal sim card and it even got a cellular signal. Called my friend and it worked. The Camera also works flawlessly WITH WORKING AUTOFOCUS.
Connected it to SALT again, this time GPT is unknown. ARB is also unknown. (Fifth.jpg)
This is a miracle. After all this, the phone is still in working order. Not only did the camera regain its autofocus capabilities, but also that the ARB is set to an unbelievable number!
Thank you for reading!

UPDATE:
I went into Recovery, decided to boot into the bootloader, and it shows that Secure Boot is disabled. I flashed SKYHAWK recovery IMG and it booted! (Sixth.jpg). Flashed H811 Lineage OS and F500 baseband. Booted into LineageOS with everything working including camera, cellular, and wifi. (Seventh.jpg)

UPDATE 2:
Lineage OS 16 seems to have poor battery life. Tried to flash the F500L 20p firmware, but LGUP refused to update, claiming that the ARB of the phone is higher than the firmware. Flashed back the H81120r, followed by QFIL and it Booted up. Flashed the F500L 20p firmware again, and now, no ARB messages whatsoever.

LG UP Instructions for this particular frank motherboard:
Basically, to flash this motherboard without ARB kicking in, H81120r firmware has to be flashed via LGUP, and firehose through QFIL and android has to be booted. Once booted, the phone can now be flashed with F500L20p only.

(Hard Way) How to flash Stock Nougat:
If updating through LGUP gives out a 0x2000 error then the solution is very complicated. First, while on F500L20p, connect the phone to the PC. Open LG Bridge and let it search for updates. Once it found F500L30b, press Update and wait. It will fail. Without closing or doing anything in LG Bridge open LGUP and load in H81120r KDZ and flash. Wait for H811 firmware to load to Setup, then go to Download Mode again and Click on Retry in LG Bridge. Once finished, Flash the firehose through QFIL.
(Easy Way) How to flash Stock Nougat:
Extract .DZ file out of F300L30p KDZ file using WindowsLGFirmwareExtract. Flash .DZ file through LGUP Upgrade Option. For some reason, it works.
=================================================
In case you wonder if flashing Nougat will set the bootloader stack prior to not letting you flash H81120r anymore... not it won't. I tried flashing H81120r followed by F500L20p while being on Nougat Stack and it flashed without a problem.

Conclusion:
So... this is not H811, but it's closest to it since it lets you flash KDZ's, AOSP Roms, TWRPs, custom kernels, and Magisk, all without USU while on ARB 20. It's just that every LGUP and LG Bridge process has to be followed by QFIL.
I have no idea how this thing consumes almost all KDZ's given to it, even the ones with ARB0.
